The True Gospel

By Pastor Bill Taylor

A publication of My Father's House, inc. Volume 9/Issue 1

Prophecy: The law is righteous, just and good and I gave the law so the people could see what goodness is, what righteousness is. But the wickedness in man, the sin in the flesh over and over again caused the people to whom I’ve given My law, to pervert My laws, to disobey My laws, to disregard My laws and so again and again I sent prophets unto them to warn them, to teach them, to try to establish them in the righteousness which I sent to them through My law. And now I’ve sent My Son to give grace to My people to fulfill the righteous requirements of My law. And all the things that pertain to this are contained in My everlasting gospel. And yet again, the flesh of wicked men has perverted the gospel. They have changed it, twisted it and made it something that is abominable to Me. For in the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed and My power to help you attain to that righteousness. But instead they’ve made the gospel into an excuse for unrighteousness and a powerless thing in the eyes of most men. My people, as I’ve sent prophets in the days of old, I’m sending you today to reestablish My true gospel, to publish My true gospel. And I am not sending you in word only, but I am sending you in power. For I am not giving you mere words to speak but I am anointing you with My power that will cause men to feel their shame and conviction and to see the truth. And My power to demonstrate that I indeed am with you and in you and have sent you. And My power to bring to pass that which I have ordained. For I shall establish My order in the churches. I shall establish My law in the churches. I shall establish My gospel in the churches lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. And I am doing that work through the word that I have given you and I back that word up with power even now. For you shall be seen to be not a church of word only but a church of power. For My power is in My gospel. And My power is in My people and you are My people, saith the Lord.

One of the great problems in the “churches” today has been the pharisaical theologians who’ve destroyed people’s faith in the Word of God with their erroneous commentaries and foolish conjectures concerning the gospel and what it is. If you want to know what Christianity is it would be best to go to the Bible. But most people seem to think that the Bible is too hard to understand so they try to get other people to tell them what it means. And there’s always some fool who likes to play the part of the expert who will tell them what he thinks it means but who doesn’t really know what it means and so we end up with these terrible heresies flooding the false churches.

One of them that comes out of Baptist theology is that the sermon on the Mt. is the law and not New Covenant because Jesus was preaching to Jews under the law and not Christians – but this is a lie – Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will not pass away. (Matt 24:35) And concerning the sermon on the Mt., many of today’s false churches say, “We can’t do this, how do we not lust in our hearts? (Matt 5:28) That’s the requirement of the law but we’re under grace.” And so they try to brush away what Jesus is teaching as though it doesn’t apply to us, and when they do that they’re saying that the sermon on the Mt. is not the gospel because you see the New Covenant is found in the gospel and so everything that is in the gospel is pertinent to us but according to them the sermon on the mount is not pertinent. How ridiculous!

Look at this, The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Mk1:1) This tells us that everything in the book of Mark is the gospel. The gospel begins with the first verse of Mark. Now an obvious corresponding truth is that if Mark’s book is the gospel, what is Matthew’s? What is Luke’s? What is John’s? They are all the gospel. So everything in all four of these books is the gospel; which is why they are called “the gospels” or the gospel according to Luke etc. And yet we have false churches and false teachers today saying parts of them are not gospel. As it is written in the prophets:(v2) and then Mark quotes from Isaiah. “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You. The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’” (Mk1:2-3) Well what does that tell you? Isaiah is preaching the gospel because in the beginning of the gospel of Mark the first thing Mark quotes is Isaiah. Then the gospel is also contained in the Old Testament, and it begins in the Old Testament and without the Old Testament your gospel has no beginning. It is dreadfully incomplete.

If you rightly divide the word (2Tim2:15) you will see that the Old Testament prophesies what the gospel is to be, and therefore when it does that it is preaching the gospel. And even when Paul tells Timothy to “rightly divide the Word” at that time there was no “New Testament” so it was the Old Testament Word that Timothy was admonished to be diligent to know and interpret or divide well. And when God revealed the true gospel to me He began by taking me to; And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” (Gal 3:8) which tells me the gospel was preached in Genesis and then God showed me that Ezekiel prophesied what the New Covenant was to be and I realized that was not what was going on in the “churches” that I was in.

So instead of staying with the false gospel these “churches” were preaching, I went back to the passage in Ezekiel, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” (Ezek36:26-27) And I began praying “God do this for me. Give me this new heart. Fill me with this power of Your Spirit that will cause me to do Your will.” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Rom1:16-17) The true gospel is the power of God to salvation. (Rom1:16) For in it the righteousness of God is revealed. And what is Ezekiel saying? “I will put My Spirit in you and (powerfully) cause you to keep My judgments.”

So the Romans 1:16 power was prophesied in Ezekiel. So the gospel was described in prophesy; and the righteousness in the gospel and other details of the gospel were prophesied many other places in the Old Testament. Therefore Ezekiel was preaching the gospel and even though the power of the gospel had not arrived in his day, he was still telling us what it was to be when it would come. For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. (Rom15:4) and Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. (1Pet1:10-11) Thus the people who are telling you that the gospel is just the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus, don’t know the gospel. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. (Heb4:2) And that is saying the gospel was preached to the Old Testament Jews.

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that Word which I preached to you-- unless you believed in vain. (1Cor15:1-2) Now here’s the problem; what word is he telling them to hold fast to? “Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.” (Acts20:26-27) So he’s preached the whole counsel of God. And you must hold fast to the whole counsel of God. Yet the false preachers of today are telling you to hold fast to just a little synopsis of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ which they call the gospel. But the true gospel is the whole of what Paul’s preached and not just a verse or two about Jesus.

Now Paul is going to give a short version of the gospel here. A synopsis is not the whole book. Do you want a synopsis of the book Moby Dick? It’s about an evil ship captain and a big whale. That’s a synopsis of it but there’s a lot more to the story. The details of the story are very important. And so Paul is saying, For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve (1Cor15:3-5) that’s a synopsis of the gospel and everything that in any way pertains to Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection is a part of the gospel including, that there are witnesses to Christ’s resurrection Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. (v8)

So the gospel includes everything related to the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. It includes the Old Testament prophecies pertaining to these things “according to the Scriptures” and every effect of these things upon the believer and the creation and everything else these things mean and imply. So Paul goes into another facet of the gospel, which has to do with Christ truly being raised meaning that we true believers also will be raised and that too is a part of the gospel. So Paul’s gospel concerning the resurrection of Christ includes the fact that we true believers will also be raised in a glorified body like unto Christ’s. This is another part of the gospel. But it isn’t the whole gospel. Paul summarizes some of the basic truths of the gospel and then he goes into the details of that resurrection of the believers; how the body is sown a corruptible body and is raised a glorified body. Those are all details of that portion of the gospel that speaks of the believer’s resurrection. And then in Romans there’s a portion of the gospel where Paul speaks of judgment, in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. (Rom2:16) And if we were to go into more detail on that, we can look at “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” (Acts17:30-31) And this is all part of the gospel.

So, here we’re seeing a different aspect of the gospel concerning the resurrection. In 1st Corinthians Paul talks about how, if Jesus is raised then we believers will be raised too. But in Acts Paul is saying Jesus was raised and that proves He’s the Judge that will judge the world. And so the gospel of the resurrection leads us to the gospel of judgment; that we’re all going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ; we will all give account of ourselves, what we have done in the body whether good or bad. (Rom14:10,12) So judgment is a part of the gospel. Now as you get an idea of this you will start to see that everything Jesus has said, everything the apostles have said, everything the prophets have said that pertains at all to the New Covenant is a part of the gospel including the judgments that are shown in detail in the book of Revelation, and the judgments in Zechariah and Isaiah and Hosea etc. All the things of the Old Testament that have been or have yet to be fulfilled, these are all part of the gospel. These things prophesied to come are certain to happen, and we must prepare for them. The gospel is telling us how to prepare for them; how to be found in Christ in the Day of Judgment so that we will not be rejected by God and perish, and that is what the gospel is about. What the reward will be if we follow and obey the gospel. What the penalty will be if we do not. All of that pertains to the gospel. And the things that were fulfilled were written for our admonition. (1Cor10:11)

How are we expected to behave if we are to be found righteous? How do we attain to that righteousness? Where does it come from? What is the kind of faith we need to have? How are we to call upon God for help? What different things has God given to us to help us that He may accomplish this salvation in us? All of this pertains to the gospel; the whole counsel of God. Even as Paul has said, “I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.” (Acts20:26-27) Thus indicating that to leave anything out of the gospel would be fatal, and the blood of the believers would be upon his hands if he did that. Which also means that any thing you fail to obey that is part of the whole counsel of God will be fatal to you. So what state are the false churches in today who do not even have the whole counsel of God?

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mk1:14-15) “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matt24:14) So here we see the gospel is called the gospel of the kingdom of God. Now think about that, what are you preaching if you are preaching the gospel of the kingdom? You’re preaching what’s going to happen when God takes over. You’re preaching who’s going to make it into the kingdom. You’re preaching what you must do to get into the kingdom. You’re preaching what will happen to people who are not worthy or qualified to enter the kingdom. All of that! Because the gospel of the kingdom is “Jesus is King.” Jesus is to rule and reign over everything. You better get in step with this because it most certainly will come to pass and if you are not found fit to be a part of Christ’s kingdom there’s no place else for you to go but hell. So you better make every effort to have an abundant entrance into the kingdom of God (2Pet1:5-11) otherwise you will be a cast away, cast out of the kingdom of God, and you will be forever lost because you didn’t attain to God’s kingdom. So what we are learning from the gospel of the kingdom is how to be prepared and be ready for the kingdom – how to get into the kingdom – how to be pleasing to the King. All of that is the gospel of the kingdom.

“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.” (Mk8:35)  It isn’t just losing your life, but it’s what you lose it for; the gospel’s sake. Giving up our life in this world to live for the sake of the gospel and for the sake of Christ, is one of the ways we gain entrance into the kingdom. So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time-- houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-- and in the age to come, eternal life.” (Mk10:29-30)

So eternal life is given to those who actually give up family members and incomes for Jesus’ sake and the gospel. “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.” (Matt10:37) So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. (Lk14:33) And contrast this with the rich young ruler when; Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. (Matt19:21-22) So forsaking all – giving up lands, riches and even family for Christ’s sake is a part of the gospel. And so for his failure to do that the rich young ruler showed he wasn’t worthy to be a disciple.

But they have not all obeyed the gospel...(Rom10:16). The gospel has to be obeyed; you have to mix what you are hearing with faith. Mixing what you are hearing with faith means you don’t just say you believe but you are taking appropriate steps; actions that are consistent with what you claim to believe. So when people don’t take those actions you can see that they have not believed or obeyed the gospel. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the Word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. (Heb4:2). Just hearing the Word by itself is not sufficient to save you because the Word you hear has to be mixed with faith. And the Word mixed indicates that you have a part in your salvation. So God can give you His everlasting gospel, put it on a silver platter that you may understand it completely, and in such a way that you have no excuse for not comprehending it, and you still have to add something to the recipe. God’s recipe is complete on His side but there is still something on your side you have to put into it; “Faith.”

And what that tells us is, you can put faith in God’s Word if you choose to. Any man, woman, or child in this world can hear the gospel and choose to believe it. Believing is a choice. The wickedness of men is that most of them believe only what they want to believe. Often they refuse to believe what’s true because they don’t love truth. They are very prejudiced, biased and rebellious so they just decide, “I don’t like that, so I won’t believe it.” And if they don’t like the gospel they won’t mix it with faith. On the other hand, a liar can come along, tell them something they like and they’ll choose to believe it. They believe only what they want to believe, what pleases them. If a lie pleases them they believe the lie. If the truth displeases them they reject the truth. Well, the gospel is God’s eternal truth and it’s for people who are smart enough, wise enough, humble enough to say, “If it’s true, I’ll believe it. If I can see that it’s true I must believe it even if it seems to hurt me to believe; even if it injures my pride, or causes me to see I’ve been foolish and worldly.” Those who love truth will repent when they see the truth. They will trade in their pride for humility and righteousness. But the proud who love being proud will not do so.

Now the gospel is the testimony of God. And testimony is evidence. When you hear a testimony you are hearing “evidence” not opinion or speculation, but what the “witness” says he has seen and heard and knows. “Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. (Jn3:11) And one of the reasons why the witnesses are so important to the gospel is that all evidence relies on what comes out of testimony. “That’s the bloody knife that has the fingerprints on it and it is the murder weapon.” That’s hard evidence. No it isn’t. Not until somebody tells you whose fingerprints they are, and that the blood is from the victim. Until somebody testifies about the knife, it means nothing. All evidence is based on testimony.

Now when you recognize that all evidence relies on testimony or can be reduced to testimony, then you have to decide whose testimony do you believe? You have myriads of devils and followers of devils infesting the world and testifying to lies. But what kind of people is it that God has testifying to His truth? Honest, holy, upright people! He didn’t let just anybody testify to the resurrection of Christ. He chose witnesses that were honest, upright, holy men. “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” (Acts10:38-43) And Jesus wouldn’t let devils testify of Him. (Mk3:11,12) Jesus would tell them to “be quiet” (Mk1:25) I don’t need a devil testifying of Me. Nobody has any reason to believe a devil’s testimony. And the righteous do not need or want the help of the wicked in promoting God’s Kingdom.

It’s the same today. The real Christians are witnesses who testify to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be reliable witnesses they must have an honest, upright, holy life so that people can trust their testimony. And when people choose who they will believe, should they believe a false christian who acts just like the world; laughing at dirty jokes, smoking and drinking, fellowshipping with sinners. Or should they believe somebody who’s solemn, sober and busy about the things of God; honest, upright, one who keeps his word at all times? When you see people who are lying and living like the world and then they “witness for God,” who is going to believe them? Why should anyone believe them? If you have an honest, upright, good, holy life then you are a witness that’s fit to be believed. So there isn’t any way that the wicked are going to be able to stand before God and say they didn’t believe the gospel for any good reason when they believed liars; they believed Nixon, they believed ungodly politicians who were sodomizing in the White House, they believed gossips and slanderers, and yet they refused to believe the honest and holy people of God who testify of the irrefutable truths of the gospel.

The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. (Acts1:1-3) Because the choice of who you believe is your responsibility. And if you love the truth and want to know the truth so you can believe the truth of the gospel, then look at the people testifying to it. Look at the martyrs and the apostles. Look at us, the saints of today. Look at the holiness, the uprightness, the truthfulness of these witnesses. See that our testimony is true and believe that it’s true, and when you do you will get the benefit of it.

“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.” (Matt10:40-41) And that’s a righteous thing with God because anybody who believes the testimony of God and God’s holy people will receive the appropriate reward. But anyone who calls God a liar or calls God’s people liars deserves to go to hell. And that’s where they will go. That is their reward. Unless they get out of their pride and humble themselves and repent they will not go to heaven. The gospel of the kingdom tells us that. The gospel of the kingdom doesn’t tickle ears, it tells you the truth even if it hurts.

Now Paul speaks of the Jews saying concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake... (Rom11:28) Because they have rejected the gospel, and they still today reject the gospel. As a nation the Jews are still enemies today; they will put you in jail if you try to evangelize in Israel. Just like in the days of Peter and John. And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day. And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.(Acts4:1-3,18) They haven’t learned a thing in all these years. Even though they will take all the money of all the Christian pilgrims that go to Israel; they will not let you evangelize. Tell me if that’s good and fair?  And then we’re to pat them on the back and say Jesus loves you? Repent is what we’re supposed to tell them.

The Jews went through the Holocaust because of what they did; they put Christians through a Holocaust in the early church and never repented of it. The Jews never repented to the church for what they did to the Christians. But now they want everyone to feel sorry for them? Repent is what they need to do. Jesus prophesied what would happen to the Jews because they rejected the gospel. I’m not anti-Semitic. God calls everybody to repent, not just Jews. But the Jews want to be considered a special people, like they’ve gone through special sufferings; but they haven’t suffered like the Christians have and they caused or contributed greatly to the sufferings of the Christians. It isn’t just Jesus they crucified. Look at all the things Paul went through. And the unbelieving Jews “taught” the gentiles to persecute the Christians.

But the unbelieving Jews  stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brethren. (Acts14:2) But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. (Acts17:5)  When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul and brought him to the judgment seat, (Acts18:12) For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans, who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost. (1Thes2:14-16) The lies that the unbelieving Jews spread about the church incited the gentiles to persecute Christians for generations. And the Jews have never repented and until they do they will continue to reap what they’ve sown.

That I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. (Rom15:16) This extraordinary verse shows us how huge and all encompassing the gospel is because when it says ...ministering the gospel that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable... it shows us that everything that has to do with causing a gentile believer to bring forth an acceptable offering to God is the gospel. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. (Rom12:1) then everything that pertains to presenting your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God is the gospel, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (v2) It’s all the gospel. And the offering of the Gentiles will only be acceptable if it is sanctified by the Holy Spirit. So, unless you get connected to the Spirit in what you’re doing, your offering is worthless to God. You’re not going to do anything acceptable to God without the Spirit. So, to be acceptable to God you have to get into the Spirit, and the Spirit into you. And the gospel shows you how to get into the Spirit; “The Promise of the Spirit.” (See our previous publication of that title.)

So if the Spirit of Christ works through you to plead the cause of the widow then it will be an acceptable offering. And if the Spirit works through you to rebuke the oppressor then it will be an acceptable offering because the Spirit is doing it. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Phil 2:13) We can do nothing apart from Christ. (Jn15:5) Everything we do has to be in Christ if it is to be acceptable to God. So if you are in Christ, in the Spirit, your works will be of God and they will be a part of His eternal plan. But making sandwiches to feed the hungry when God hasn’t told you to, if it is not coming from Christ in you then it’s not going to be an acceptable offering, because it’s not a part of God’s plan if it’s your idea not God’s. The acceptable offering has to do with obeying the gospel. “But they have not all obeyed the gospel.” (Rom10:16)

Now you have to obey the gospel. The gospel says Jesus is Lord. You have to obey Jesus to bring forth an acceptable offering. So you have to be listening to Him, hearing Him by faith, and doing what He tells you to do. Then your offering will be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit, in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. (Rom15:19) For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient(v18) So the purpose of preaching the gospel is to make obedient believers. “Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.” For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God. (Acts20:26-27)  So again we see the gospel is the whole counsel of God,” everything you need to do, everything that you need to know and everything you need to believe to have eternal life.

But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. (Rom15:29) Now Paul is connecting this with, for this reason I also have been much hindered from coming to you. (v22) And the reason he’s been hindered is that as an apostle his God ordained calling is to be a foundation builder, (Eph2:20) and not to build on another’s foundation. And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written: “To whom He was not announced, they shall see; and those who have not heard shall understand.” For this reason I also have been much hindered from coming to you. (Rom15:20-22) Paul is an apostle of the sort that is a complete foundation builder. He goes where the gospel has never been heard and he starts right from the beginning with it. But the gospel has already come to Rome and so the kind of apostle he is, he would actually be entering into something that has already been started by others if he went to Rome. He doesn’t say that he’s forbidden to do that but he says that he’s hindered from doing it. And the idea here is that as long as there is a place for God to send Paul that hasn’t heard the gospel at all that is where God will send him.

But Paul is looking at passing through Rome to get to one of those places, Spain, (v24) and he’s thinking that while passing through Rome he can bear some fruit toward the Roman church. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established-- (Rom1:11) And Paul says he’s not forcing his way into Rome because he will not violate the will of God to go there but he is confident that God will eventually let him visit Rome and He will then let Paul help to establish them. So when Paul finally comes he’ll come in the will of God and in the power of the gospel because it will be God’s will for Paul to be there at that time. So he’s not pushing himself into something that isn’t God’s will, but he’s waiting on God to put something together so when he comes he’ll come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ because it will be completely the will of God for Paul to be there. In other words, he is not making “sandwiches” for the Romans unless God tells him to. Even seemingly good religious works have to be ordained by God.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began but now has been made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures has been made known to all nations, (Rom16:25) The prophetic scriptures is the Old Testament because the churches of this time don’t have the New Testament. According to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith (v26) The gospel has to be mixed with faith and when it is mixed with faith it must be obeyed. And how can you obey faith unless faith is telling you to do something? Now under the new covenant we are not under the law anymore but people who think, “We’re saved by grace, so we don’t have to obey rules,” need to understand that they must obey faith. Faith is telling you to do something or you couldn’t obey it. So there used to be the law telling people to do something and now there’s faith telling God’s people to do something; there was the law, but now there’s the gospel. The law tells you to do something that in a sense you read and figure out how to do it on your own. The gospel tells you by faith to listen to Jesus Christ and obey Him; the “hearing of faith.” (Gal 3:2) And because you are going to stand before Jesus and He’s going to judge you, you need to obey Him.

Now, if you want to stand before the Judge and be found innocent, wouldn’t it be nice if you could ask the Judge right now to tell you what you ought to be doing?  And if you are in a right relationship with the Judge and you are listening and obedient to what He’s telling you to do, do you think there’s going to be a problem at the judgment? Isn’t that a simple gospel right there? Here’s how I make it through the judgment – I know the Judge. Well, that’s not enough. I know the Judge and I am in a relationship with the Judge where He’s telling me everything I need to do so that I can get through the judgment. And I trust the Judge and I’m obeying the Judge. When judgment time comes, what is the Judge going to have against me? I’m obedient to Him. How can He have anything against me if I’m doing what He tells me? How can I possibly end up in trouble in the judgment?

So this is what the gospel is about “obedience.” It’s about obeying the Man who will judge you. Obedience to the gospel; obedience is an absolutely important word – for your obedience has become known to all (Rom16:19) Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel (v25) So the gospel tells you that God is able to make you a real Christian, able to make you righteous, able to establish you upon the solid rock. The gospel tells you God can do it and tells you how God will do it and what you need to do so He can do it. And you need to obey.

Paul says For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel (1Cor1:17) Now that doesn’t diminish the importance of baptism because baptism is a part of the gospel. Even the baptism of John the Baptist was a part of the gospel. And when all the people heard Him, even the tax collectors justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John. But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him. (Lk7:29-30) So even John the Baptist’s baptism was the will of God for His people. How much more that of Christ. “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (Mk16:16) But what Paul is saying relates to – For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision? (Rom2:25-26). It’s the same with baptism. The baptism doesn’t save you unless you stay obedient to Christ. Baptism introduces you to and connects you to Jesus in you; now you have to obey Him. So Paul is more concerned with preaching the gospel than to actually baptize people. Does that mean that they’re not getting baptized? Does that mean he doesn’t talk about baptism? See, preaching about baptism is preaching the gospel. Baptizing people is not preaching.

Now, is it more difficult to preach the gospel or to baptize people? Which is a higher calling? Preaching the gospel takes a special anointing. When the gospel is believed any true believer can baptize you and you’ll be born again if you have a proper faith. Preaching gives you the faith. So we don’t need the apostle to do the baptism but to do the preaching. Jesus didn’t baptize people, the disciples did. He was not sent to baptize in water but in the Holy Spirit. But He allowed His disciples to baptize people in water. (Jn4:2) But now we see where the apostle Paul is not baptizing people in water; but of course he is allowing other members of the church to do the baptisms. The baptism alone isn’t what saves you, it’s hearing and believing the gospel that saves you, but baptism is a work of faith that shows you really do believe and obey the gospel. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. (Jas2:24)

But the preaching of the word of God is what gives you the faith to obey God and receive what God offers you in baptism. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in (water) baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (Col 2:11-12) So what is more important? The preaching of the Word. And in the preaching of the Word, the gospel Paul preaches will teach you how to be baptized in faith. But Paul isn’t going to baptize you because he’s called to do the preaching. So other believers who may not be “preachers” will take care of the baptisms. (See our previous publication “Baptism and Salvation.”)

For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. (1Cor4:15) Now this doesn’t mean they were born again without being baptized. But it means because Paul has preached the gospel to them they have mixed it with faith and obeyed the gospel to get baptized into Christ, (Mk16:16) they were born again because of the faith that Paul’s preaching put in them. So they had a real faith and a real water baptism and they were begotten of God. And it was the Word of God Paul preached that brought them to take the step of faith to get baptized and become children of God. Thus they are begotten by the faith that came by hearing the Word of the Gospel of God that brought them into the blessings of a real baptism.

If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ. Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel. (1Cor9:11,12,14) All things are lawful but not all are helpful. (1Cor6:12) The workman is worthy of his hire. (Lk10:7) Those who preach the gospel deserve to be supported by the ones they feed. But if it will help forward the gospel for Paul to temporarily deny himself this right in the intent of helping to preach and advance the forwarding of the gospel, he will do it.

So Paul makes a judgment call, it’s not expedient at this time for me to be taking money from these people. Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge? I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you. (2Cor11:7-8) Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.” (1Tim5:17-18) If somebody is saving your soul and they are laboring that you might be Spiritually established in Christ and they are spending time ministering to you when they could be working to make money to support themselves, you should be paying them appropriately for that Spiritual service. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things. (Rom15:27) And Paul is saying that though he made an exception with the Corinthians because he didn’t want the gospel hindered there, taking from other churches in order to give them the gospel free of charge, they should be humbled by this, not puffed up. And they should be even more loyal and faithful to him for doing this.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! (1Cor9:16) Saul was a persecutor and murderer of Christians, but Christ has spared him and given him a very high calling in preaching the gospel.  If he were to let go of that calling, what use would God have for him and what punishment would he deserve for disobeying God after what he did to the church? Woe unto me if I don’t preach the gospel. I owe God something. God has saved my life when I deserved to die. Woe unto me if I don’t do what He is asking me to do because this commission has been entrusted to me. For if I do this willingly, I have a reward but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship. (v17) And Paul will answer to Christ for how well he does this and so will we. Well, what is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel. (v18) Preachers called of God have an authority in the gospel, but Paul is careful not to abuse his authority. He’s choosing to do everything possible to forward the gospel to the greatest extent, even by denying himself of lawful support. That shows how important it is to Paul that the gospel be successfully advanced.

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. (2Cor4:3-4) The gospel is God’s light and when you hear the gospel and believe it, your eyes are opened. You enter into God’s light and God’s light shines on you. When people hear the gospel and reject it they stay in the dark. “And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (Jn3:19) As a pastor many times I’ve seen this: the very person who needed to be in a particular service, someone who is weak or troubled in the practice of their christianity and not well established – that one decides not to go to church at the very time God has prepared a service that would have answered or solved their problems. And because he wasn’t there he didn’t get the light that would have cured him or saved him. But by disobeying God’s call to come to church such a one has already rejected God’s previous light.

So such people, because they don’t come they don’t get to see what they are missing; they remain in the dark and they are totally ignorant of the good God would have done for them. God lets me see it and God is justified that I can see He did not fail them, but they failed themselves and Him. Yet they will never see it in this life. No doubt in the judgment before they are cast into everlasting darkness they may understand what they have missed then. But the life of faith has much to do with being where God wants you to be not because you know what’s going to happen but you know it’s right to be there and because you’re there you receive the blessing. And the one who makes up an excuse not to be in the church assembly when he ought to be curses himself by his own excuses. He cheats himself out of what God would have given him; cuts himself off from what God would have done; makes himself ignorant of the wisdom God would have showed him, just by not being there. And he does it to himself. He cuts himself off from the blessing by forsaking the assembling together. (Heb10:25) By his evil heart of unbelief he departs from the living God. (Heb3:12) He has no faith that God would meet his need and help him if he obeyed God and attended the church service, so he perishes in his unbelief.

And we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches, (2Cor8:18) Here Paul is administering a monetary gift through the help of a very trust worthy person who has a very good reputation in the churches “his praise is in the gospel.” Now what does that mean his praise is in the gospel? It would mean that all of the churches know that this man is a true man of God; honest, upright, holy, he is a son of the Most High – this man is a glorious example of everything the gospel says a new covenant believer ought to be. And he has a reputation throughout the churches of being completely obedient to the gospel, understanding the gospel, being able to preach the gospel, all of it – his praise is in the gospel. So nobody is going to doubt the scrupulous uprightness of the administration of this gift while such a man is watching over it because his praise is in the gospel.

Next we see that where people have confessed to believe the gospel, the proof of their faith will evidence itself in their obedience. While, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ (2Cor9:13) By giving very much needed help to their Jerusalem brethren the Corinthians were displaying themselves to be true Christians and they have brought much glory to God by their obedience to God in providing their gift.

For we are not overextending ourselves (as though our authority did not extend to you), for it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ; (2Cor10:14) Those who are sent by God to preach the gospel have a God given authority over the believers who receive that gospel – to order and establish the churches in that place. And the believers who have been “saved” by receiving the true gospel from that true apostle sent by God, owe obedience to him in the Lord. And they should be faithful to that one who God first sent above any other “Johnny come lately.” For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted-- you may well put up with it!  (2Cor11:4) I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. (Gal 1:6,7) Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude3) It’s been less than 30 years since Christ was crucified and raised, and already Paul is warning the church about people who are perverting the gospel. And Jude is admonishing the churches to contend for the faith of the original gospel.

Now two thousand years later, are we to believe there has been no corrupting or perverting of the original gospel in the contemporary “churches?” One of the surest evidences that the gospel of the contemporary “church” has been perverted is, “you shall know the tree by its fruit.” (Matt7:18-20) The gospel that Peter, John, Paul, and the other apostles preach produced holy Christians; people who were sanctified and separate from the world. But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. (Gal 6:14) Those true Christians, the fruit of the good tree, had their affections set on things above, (Col 3:2) and they were not interested in the entertainments, politics and such things as occupy the minds of the unsaved and worldly peoples. Today, however, what passes for “christianity” is usually a desire to get God to bless the earthly activities, interests, health, prosperity and entertainments of the “believer.” Whereas the true believer in Paul’s day would lay down their lives for the gospel.

Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. (Rom16:3-4) For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. (Rom14:8) “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. (Lk14:33) “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matt10:39) But the so called “believers” of today seem to think that Christ has given His life to make their temporal lives more enjoyable, rather than call them out of the temporal life and into the eternal. That the gospel of today is producing worldly “christians,” that the divorce rate in the “churches” parallels the world’s. That the crime rate, delinquent children, abortions in the “churches,” are all equal to the world’s. That the “believers” are as much concerned with styles, entertainment and politics as the world, are all a sure and certain proof that the gospel most “christians” are hearing today is not the gospel that Jesus and His apostles preached. The fruit is not the same. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.  (Gal 1:8-9)

Now this is a very serious matter. The true gospel will bless you, “To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.” (Acts3:26) But much of what is preached as the gospel today, does not bless the hearer or turn them away from their sin. Rather it deceives them into thinking they are saved while they are still sinners. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. (1Jn3:6) And most “believers” today don’t look into the scriptures to see what the gospel says, but they let their “teachers” tell them, and they believe their false teachers, unlike the Bereans who, were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Acts17:11) Rather most “believers” today fulfill the scripture, For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. (2Tim4:3-4)

Now the actual meaning of “accursed” is to be separated from God and all His blessings. And that is what the false gospels of today do to their adherents – they cause the erroneous believers to be separated farther and farther away from God and His blessings, whereas the true gospel causes us to draw nearer and nearer to God and His blessings. If you want to be blessed it is very important that you believe the true gospel and you better be very careful to check out what you are hearing properly with the scriptures. Look around you and look at “church” history – every nation where Roman Catholicism reigns is an accursed nation – Italy lost WWII – Spain was fascist – The Central and South American nations are filled with poverty and disease. Their priests are pedophiles. Ireland is in constant conflict. France has lost almost every war she’s ever fought.

And do you think the Baptists are blessed? They are losing their children to the world as fast as they grow up – many of their pastors are hooked on pornography – their people are sports fanatics, fornicators, fad followers. They are as worldly as any sinner and as full of sickness as any group of unbelievers. What about the old denominations, Methodists, Presbyterians? They have had centuries to grow in the grace of the Lord, to increase in faith and bring about the glorious church; and every one of them has decreased to an alarming degree in holiness and in faith. They are going backwards not forward. Or the Faith Movement – how are they going to perfect the church – bring her to glory without spot or wrinkle while they chase money and seek God’s blessings for their own selfish interests? Where are the churches that produce the true fruit of the Spirit and the Christ-like Christians? Almost all the “churches” today fulfill, “So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not do them.” (Ezek33:31-32) Where is the church that glorifies Jesus – the holy church of the Bible with Jesus as its Head? It’s not found in these accursed places.

But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. (Gal 1:11) The most common problem today is that the churches are trying to please men; trying to find their success and attract members to their “churches” by pleasing people. Well, the gospel isn’t according to man; or for the purpose of pleasing men. The gospel is according to God. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Gal 1:12) And God gave His gospel for the purpose of saving men. And men get saved when they obey it accurately (Rom10:16) and bring forth an acceptable offering. (Rom15:16,18) And the good news is Jesus will help them do that. But to water the gospel down, twist it away from the truth and make it into a different gospel just because people do not want to pay the price of losing their life and forsaking all; so you give them something that says they don’t have to; well, you don’t save them! You have an accursed gospel. And those who believe a perverted gospel are doubly cursed because they won’t be saved in the end but also a curse comes on them right now. And they are separated from God; His wisdom, His power and His blessings – right now.

And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who were of reputation, lest by any means I might run, or had run, in vain. (Gal 2:2) For Paul tells us, But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, (Gal 1:15-16) But he conferred with God and God revealed to him the true gospel. (v12) Now the New Covenant is characterized by “they shall all be taught of God,” (John 6:45) and “they shall all know Me.” (Heb8:11) And there is a sense in which the New Covenant believer does not need man to teach him. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (1Jn2:27)

So if you are truly a New Covenant born again believer, to be perfected in Christ you must be hearing God first, before you hear man. And you must listen to God and obey what He says, and not be swayed by teachers of men who differ from God in what they say. (Eph 4:14) And what you see here in Paul is that he was taught the gospel by God Himself not man, but then he goes to Jerusalem to meet with the apostles and check his gospel against theirs, and he discovers that his agrees. So Paul has been taught the true gospel by God, and it agrees exactly with the original gospel which Jesus gave to Peter, John and the others. So Paul has received an infallible confirmation, through men, that the gospel he received from Christ is the truth, and he has met the real Christ and he has not been deceived by some demon pretending to be Christ. Now here’s a letter we’ve received pertaining to the “Glory of His Grace” ministry.

 Dear Pastor Bill,

I am writing to let you know why I’ve been requesting so many Glory of His Grace booklets. But first let me tell you about some experiences I’ve had. When I got saved in my county jail, I knew that God was with me because I had a witness of the Spirit that God had received me into His family. He opened the scriptures up to me mightily. And I know my calling to overcome sin and to allow God to change me. After I was born again I started going to church a lot. All kinds of denominations came to teach. I went to the Baptists and Pentecostals, and non-denominational services. I knew something had to be different about them or they wouldn’t be of different organizations. But I did not know what it was. All I knew is that I loved God and I wanted Him to help me live for Him. So I prayed and studied all the time. I did not take man’s words but I took what God had been teaching me. I always prayed for God to keep me in truth and not let me be led away with the error of the wicked. I shared what I knew and some people agreed and some did not. So when I came to prison I continued to go to church. And one day I heard some Southern Baptists say something that seemed quite wrong to me. They said that “once you’re saved you’re always saved.” So after church I asked one of them about it. I said to him, “you mean once saved if you walk in the Spirit to overcome sin you’ll be saved.” He said, “No, ‘once saved always saved.’” And started telling me about justification and imputed righteousness without the works of Christ working in you His righteousness for us to live righteous. And every time other Baptists would come I heard the same thing. I told them some scriptures that were against what they were saying. But they told me if I wasn’t secure I wasn’t saved. I said, I was secure because I let God keep me. They went on to say no one can snatch you out of His hands and so you can’t leave Him. But Jesus was talking about those who love Him and follow Him and are humble and not to the disobedient. They said, “You’ll still go to Heaven but lose rewards.” But I did not buy it because God was showing me different and I love Him.

I don’t want an easy way because He is with me and I love Him. I come to Jesus in love and for a change. Not for an escape goat for me to continue in sin or anything else. I thank God for teaching me His words. But after my conversation with the Southern Baptists I started to feel bad. Because no one felt the way I felt. And I kept asking God why do I see the Word different than these people? Even the inmates that went to their meetings didn’t see what was going on. But some people did see what I was saying. But no one was really concerned like I was. But sometimes it still brought confusion on me. Because I didn’t understand why they felt or taught that way. I thought how can they love God? What’s wrong with them? I prayed and prayed at night laying there thinking “how could I be wrong, because I know what I see.” And then one day I met this boy who gave me your booklet “Once Saved Always Saved” on what the Bible says. At first I thought no thanks because I don’t believe that stuff. Then he told me he didn’t either. So I took the booklet and I read it. And the same things that I saw in the Word you were saying. The same things they were using to back up their doctrine to me, I saw you talk correctly about the same scriptures they were using falsely to back up their belief. That was grieving me on how can these people say this stuff. God doesn’t say this in His Word. I felt good because I saw someone on my side for once, someone who sees that this is an important thing and should be addressed. And who was seeing what these people were doing. God used your booklets to let me know I wasn’t the only one. God bless you* I’m going home next month so all I need is 30 copies of “Once Saved Always Saved” for inmates here. Because mostly Baptists come here so maybe I can help save some from the lies. When I go home in March, I will send for more. I’ve been born again and I want to help this truth be known. And even now I have many adversaries here so pray that me and my brothers here may speak boldly. AMEN.

AJ

Now before A.J met us he was already hearing from the Holy Spirit, Christ Himself, the truth concerning the “once saved always saved” heresy. And the fact that he is hearing God himself and hearing the truth is a strong sign that he is a real New Covenant believer, taught of God, who doesn’t need men to teach him. But when he comes in contact with our book “Once saved always saved” he finds that what he is hearing is indeed the same thing that we are hearing from God and thereby he is confirmed strongly in the faith that he is indeed hearing God and he is given extra grace, strength and courage against the many false christians who are opposing the things that God is telling him.

Now notice that he doesn’t need a man to teach him these things because God has been teaching him. But God uses men, “teachers” to confirm to him and others like him that they are indeed hearing God accurately and to introduce them to subjects they may not yet be acquainted with that are helpful in establishing them in the faith. But when, for example, I may teach a true believer something “new” – he has a “witness” of the Spirit of truth in himself to recognize if what I’m teaching is true; because he has God as his first and foremost teacher. So if he listens carefully to God, he will only receive from man what agrees with the Spirit of truth.

Now at My Father’s House, we have received many testimonies from brothers and sisters all of whom are “taught of God” and have found confirmation and comfort in being acquainted with our teachings that have strengthened them in the faith that they indeed know and hear the real God, the real Christ, the real Holy Spirit. In contrast to this; the Baptists and others who oppose the truth of God have never heard God themselves, but have heard a “gospel” that is according to man, put together by Baptist theologians who also have not heard God. And the Baptist gospel is promulgated by men teaching men what men say the gospel is and convincing them that they are indeed the people of God – but all of this is done by the methodology of men – and none of them are listening to, seeking or hearing from God himself. And such “believers” who are not taught of God but by men are the Ishmaels of, But as he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, (Gal 4:23)

Baptists and those like them are born according to the flesh, by the will of man. But true Christians are born according to promise, born of God, not flesh. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise (Gal 4:28) who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (Jn1:13) So the Baptist-type believers constitute the Jerusalem below – the man made churches. For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children-- (Gal 4:25) And the Spiritual Christians who actually hear God are the Jerusalem above – God’s church. (v26) But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” (Gal 4:29-30) So Baptist-types do not inherit the kingdom of heaven – they are of man not God. And they’ve all received their gospel from the same source, the Baptist churches.

But the Spiritual have received their gospel which agrees with that given to the other Spiritual believers without receiving it from man or a church organization – they have received it from God Himself – each independently and have found a scriptural confirmation in being led by God (And I went up by revelation – Gal 2:2) led by God to other true brethren who have heard the same things from God’s Spirit. Then they are supernaturally in agreement – not according to men but by the work of God Who has evidenced Himself powerfully as the chief teacher but Who has also blessed His people with God appointed teachers to help confirm and equip them. And God’s people have the potential if they draw near to God daily that they will always be protected by their inner witness, (the Spirit of Truth – their inner teacher) from external or erroneous doctrines of man – so that what is of God can come through man to the true believer, when he abides in Christ and walks in the Spirit, but what is not of God will be rejected.

Now Paul began to talk about a problem with false brethren trying to force circumcision on the gentile believers. And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage), to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. (Gal 2:4,5) This shows us that even though a true believer has the potential witness of truth in him – if he doesn’t maintain his close walk with the Lord and depend upon God for the witness to truth he can fall prey to wicked men who want to pervert the gospel. Remember Joshua and the Gibeonites? Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the LORD. (Josh9:14) Had they asked the Lord, He would have shown them the subterfuge of the Gibeonites. But they leaned on their own understanding and were deceived. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Pr3:5-6)

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. (Gal 1:6-7) The devil wants to keep us in “bondage” (Gal 2:4) and his people want to exploit us to use us for their own advancement – it satisfies their pride to overcome someone and to make them a show in the flesh. As many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. (Gal 6:12) To make a good showing in the flesh means that your receiving of them causes them to look successful and important and have more credibility with others even though they are still abiding in the old “uncircumcised” selfish nature. Their acceptance by man does not mean they are commended by God. For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. (2Cor10:12)

We see many famous “Christians” and “preachers” today who boast in the number of conversions they have at their meetings (making a good showing in the flesh) and appear very popular in contemporary “christianity” and yet Jesus may well say to them, “Depart from Me you workers of iniquity” (Matt7:23) in the day of judgment – if their “works” are not producing truly Christ-like Christians. Because if they are not building in Christ their works are wood, hay and stubble. (1Cor3:12) And By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. (2Pet2:3) They want to use you for their own purposes and enslave you to themselves through demonic doctrines that lead to bondage instead of the liberty of the Spirit.

And if we are to remain “free” in Christ, we must not yield submission to them. (Gal 2:5) This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. (Gal 5:8) Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God. (Col 2:8,18-19) For if you are captured by their trickery, (Eph4:14) then You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. (Gal 5:4) To be separated from Christ and fallen from grace is to be lost – (How does “once saved/always saved” align with this?) So Paul is strongly warning you to hold on to Christ as your chief teacher and not be led astray by persuasions of men. Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Gal 5:1)

But when I saw that they (including Peter) were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, Paul rebuked them. (Gal 2:14) Now here is an example that even a true Apostle of Christ can be led astray by “peer pressure” and must be rebuked by another man of God. Which indicates to us the very grave danger of straying – that even Peter strayed – and the need to have godly fellowship that perchance we do stray, a good brother can bring us back, Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. (Jas5:19-20) And this is one vital reason to – not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Heb10:25) Stay in fellowship with a true church and that church will greatly help you to stay in fellowship with Christ. that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. (1Jn1:3)

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham (Gal 3:8) So, the Old Testament has nothing to do with the gospel? The gospel was preached to Abraham saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” And that’s a fundamentally important part of the gospel. The first century church did not have the New Testament so they preached the gospel using the Old Testament as their scriptural proof texts and every thing we call the New Testament is really filled with the doctrine derived from Old Testament scriptures. To discard the Old Testament as useless is to remove the foundation for the New Testament – (Eph2:20) and that’s why so many “christians” today are following a false gospel – because they’ve rejected the foundations their building is crooked. The Old Testament is the foundation of the New. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Ps11:3)

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the Word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, (Eph1:13) And this is the greatest effect and purpose of the gospel, to cause you to trust in Jesus (Him). Which if you have a true trust and faith will connect you with the Holy Spirit who was promised in the Old Testament and by Christ Himself. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; (Is44:3) “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. (Joel 2:28-29) So, the Old Testament scriptures are very much pertaining to the gospel promise of the Spirit. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; “for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (Acts1:4-5) The “promise of the Father” is the pouring out of the Holy Spirit promised in the Old Testament. That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Gal 3:14)

That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, (Eph3:6) So, the gospel is telling us how to become a partaker of God’s promises particularly for the Spirit of Christ and how to be fellow heirs with the Jews. And everything that pertains to entering into that fellow heir-ship is part of the gospel.

The armor of God includes ...having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (Eph6:15) So we can see there is a gospel of peace. And, haven’t we already seen there’s a gospel of resurrection (1Cor15:20-21) gospel of judgment? (Rom 2:16) There’s a gospel of regeneration. (1Cor4:15) There’s a gospel of righteousness. (Rom1:16-17) There’s the gospel of grace. There’s a gospel of blessing. (Rom15:29) So the gospel of Jesus Christ contains many “gospels” which pertain to our salvation. But concerning the gospel of peace, because we’re justified by faith we have peace with God. (Rom5:1) The gospel of peace tells us that through faith in Jesus we have peace with God because Jesus has atoned for our sins and we’ve entered into a relationship of obedience to God. Whereas, in disobedience you have the wrath of God abiding on you. (Rom2:5; 1Pet2:7-8)

When worldly people try to wish you “good luck” what they are saying is they hope things will go well with you though without God they have no power to accomplish this “wish.” But when we true Christians bless people, we’re praying that God would make things go well for them. Which, because we know God, we have the power to accomplish through our intercessions. But if God is going to make things go well for you, He can’t be having wrath against you because if He’s got wrath against you He’ll be resisting you? And if God is resisting you things will not go well; you’ll be pushing against something that isn’t letting you succeed. As when you’re going in a direction that God doesn’t want you to go, He makes it very, very difficult; puts a lot of obstacles in your way, so there’s no peace there. And you won’t have a sense of “God loves me, everything is fine.”

Well the whole point is that when we have peace with God through faith in Christ – God does love us. “for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God. (Jn16:27) And God doesn’t resist us anymore; He’s on our side because we are on His side and His love works to benefit us. But the fact that He’s on our side doesn’t mean He’s on the side of our flesh or that we can get into the flesh and we can run off after the things in the flesh and He will bless our fleshly activities. The fact that He loves us and is at peace with us means He will show us what His will is and help us to do it rightly. And He’ll bless us and give us peace as we follow His will. And if we start rebelling against His will and what He’s doing we will have lost the peace because you see, the peace is that we’ve come into obedience to Him. Start rebelling against Him, and we’re out of faith and back into Him resisting us because we resist Him. The gospel of peace means we are obedient to God. And if we are obedient to Christ in faith we know that God is with us. And if God be for us who can be against us? (Rom8:31)

Pray for me that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel. (Eph6:19) As we’ve just shown you, there are many mysteries in the gospel. And most “believers” today are very ignorant of these mysteries. But here at “My Father’s House” we have prayed according to this scripture that Christ would open up these mysteries to us and give us utterance to boldly proclaim them. And He has answered that prayer abundantly as you can see even here in the “Glory of His Grace.”

I’m always thanking God, making request for you all with joy for your fellowship in the gospel; (Phil 1:3-5) What does it mean to have fellowship in the gospel? It means we fellowship in all the things that pertain to the Kingdom of God that we are working together to bring the Kingdom to pass. I have a true fellowship with Dave in the gospel. I don’t have any fellowship with Mrs. L in the gospel. Why don’t I? She’s not here; she’s never quite here. (Shortly after this Mrs. L. left permanently.) You get these people that are doing their own thing, living their own life, hanging around the church once in a while, but there is no fellowship with them because they are not into what the Spirit and God’s true saints are into. We have a fellowship in the gospel because we are ground wheat, we’re the Bread of Christ made one. We have a unified purpose in Christ and His gospel and we work together and pray together in order to accomplish those purposes. And what makes you my brother or my sister is our fellowship in the gospel. We have nothing else to fellowship around. (1Jn1:3) I don’t fellowship around fishing with you. I don’t fellowship around basketball with you. I don’t fellowship around computer gaming with you. I don’t fellowship around going to movies with you. I don’t fellowship around picnics with you. I fellowship with you in the gospel. We’re fellowshipping in the work of Christ. We’re fellowshipping in Jesus’ plans and His purposes; the most important thing there is in the world, the most important thing there will ever be in the world.

Our fellowship is based on our mutual connection to Christ in serving the Lord in His gospel. Just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace  (Phil 1:7) So if you are also defending and confirming the gospel, that very much makes you a fellowshipper in the gospel. I go up to the prison. I preach to the men up there what the real gospel is, and the wicked Baptist chaplain connives to throw me out. (Later God threw that chaplain out.) Dave goes up there and confirms what I am saying and defends what I am saying. He’s preaching the same gospel; we’re fellowshipping in the gospel. He has the same grace that God gave me; the same grace to keep God’s true gospel going forth up there. We have true fellowship in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

Now the question is are you defending and confirming the true gospel? Because unless you are there is no authentic fellowship between you and the true saints who are defending and confirming the gospel. And also according to this scripture you will not partake of God’s grace unless you share in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel,  (v12) All things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Rom8:28) and the best good is the furtherance of the gospel. The question is are you involved in any thing that is truly working for the furtherance of the gospel? Because every real Christian must be in some way producing fruit. (Matt3:10) And fruit means there is a real furtherance of the gospel coming out of that believer’s life. Knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel. (Phil 1:17) This is the second time Paul speaks about the defense of the gospel. “That you are partakers with me in this grace in the defense and confirmation of the gospel” (v7) and “I am appointed to the defense of the gospel.” (v17)

Jude says to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all delivered to the church (v3) and what Jude is saying is “defend the gospel.” Think about it, there is a myriad of heretics and apostates around us who are perverting the gospel every chance they get. What will become of the true gospel if we who know the true gospel don’t defend it! To defend the true gospel means you must fight against the lies. God did not put us here to get along with heretics. He has called us to expose their heresies because heresies destroy souls. And God has sent us to defend His gospel from the liars and the thieves that are trying to pervert it. And all these books we are writing and the places where we are preaching and the battles we’re fighting are for the defense of the true gospel so the elect can hear the true gospel and be saved. As brother Dave recently said, “why is it that we have to go to the prison and tell these men up there the ABC’s of Christianity when most of them have been in “churches” for years?” Because their “churches” have lost the gospel and cannot teach them even the ABC’s of the gospel and what they call having “church” today has little to do with the true church or the true gospel.

Let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. (Phil 1:27) We are attaining to that faith of the gospel that Christ can live in our hearts and that we can be perfect and complete in Him. Now, are you striving together to attain to that faith? Are you striving to stay in one mind and one Spirit with the true saints? And what kind of conduct is worthy of the gospel? Conduct that helps to further the gospel; honest, upright, trustworthy, sincere, truthful, dependable conduct that behooves a Christian and glorifies Christ.

Conduct like you see in Timothy. But you know his proven character, that as a son with his father he served with me in the gospel. (Phil 2:22) Paul is doing the work of the gospel; preaching the gospel. But Timothy has been as a son that has served him faithfully in the gospel, helping him to do that work And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life. (Phil 4:3) Do you want your name to be written in the Book of Life? Here Paul connects the fact that those companions of his are laboring and serving in the furtherance of the gospel to their name being written in the Book of Life. Because God who “will render to each one according to his deeds:” eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; (Rom2:6-7). So these believers are patiently continuing in doing good and God will reward them with eternal life. And the best good you can do is help in the work of the furtherance of the gospel.

And what is that work? Well, it includes being of the same mind. And be sure it includes praying. Be sure it includes witnessing. Be sure it includes testifying and defending the gospel. Be sure it includes supplying needs, necessities so that the gospel can go forth. Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. (Phil 4:15) We know that Paul is saying, when he began his mission to preach the gospel to the gentiles, the Philippians were the only church that supported him. However, “in the beginning of the gospel” also indicates the gospel has a beginning such as: The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Mk1:1) Which also means you must not stop at the beginning but go on to the end of the gospel. Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. (Heb6:1-2)

So these things are the beginning doctrines but there is much more to grow up into if you would be perfected. Because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, (Col. 1:5) So the gospel includes our heavenly rewards. All the things that a true believer is headed for if he endures and overcomes. If indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel (v23) To attain to the final and complete work of salvation that the gospel promises to the true believers, you must keep your eyes on the prize, your focus on the goal that you may pursue and obtain the full reward. Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. (2Jn8) For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, (1Thes1:5) Jesus said, “But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” (Lk11:20) The manifestations of the power of God is the evidence that the kingdom of God is already present. Where there are healings, signs and wonders and such, God is ruling in power. It just would not be right for God to send us with His Word and not back us up with His power. If we are preaching the gospel of His power then His power will be there to demonstrate that we’re preaching the truth?

But even after we had suffered before and were spitefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict. But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God. (1Thes2:2,4) A true preacher is called by God not man. And he’s approved by God in the fires of affliction and found trustworthy – that he will preach the truth in season or out of season with a heart fully set on pleasing God. The only preachers that are worth their spit are the ones that God has called. The ones man has called answer to men and are going to please men not God.

So affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God. (v8-9) There are so many “christians” who start a ministry because they want to make a living from the church. But here you see the heart of a man who has a God given calling is that he will labor and spend himself and even his own money to get the lifesaving gospel to the saints. How many “Christian rock bands” would work for nothing? True ministers who have been approved by God and entrusted with a gospel calling are working towards heavenly rewards not earthly. And they are motivated by a love that gives freely. And we sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith, (1Thes3:2) So laboring in the gospel, includes establishing and encouraging people in their faith. It is not just introducing them to salvation in Jesus Christ, but taking them on to perfection.

In flaming fire Jesus is going to come taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. (2Thes1:8) Knowing God is much more than just knowing about Him. Knowing God means you know His voice. “And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” (Jn10:4) Knowing God means you obey His Word. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (1Jn2:4) This is Everlasting Life that they know You. (Jn17:3) Most so-called “Christians” these days don’t know God, they just know some “things” about Him. And they don’t obey Him.

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel. (2Thes2:13-14) The gospel is calling you and if it is calling you then it’s not just telling you something, is it? Because the gospel is a call, you’re not saved just by hearing the gospel- you’re saved by answering the call. So the gospel is calling you unto salvation through sanctification by the Spirit. So to be saved you must answer the call to be separated unto the Spirit of God. And you must learn to know the truth “Your Word is truth.” (Jn17:17) And believe it in such a way as to be a doer of the Word. (Jas1:25) Again the gospel is calling you out of something and into something. So that to believe the gospel is to respond properly to the call. And you are being called out of the old man and into the new. You are being called out of the world and into the true church of Christ; not what most “churches” are but to the church where Jesus is Head. For there is a call to go outside the camp to Jesus. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. (Heb13:13) Because what the world thinks is “church” isn’t Christ’s church. Because the gospel is a call it requires you to act upon the call; to do and to move according to the call else you won’t be saved.

People who are righteous and who have the Spirit can have liberty. They don’t have to be put under the bondage of law. But people who want to do things they ought not to do must be restrained by laws and rules because they are not righteous in their heart. So they don’t get gospel liberty and they have to be kept under bondage to the law. knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust. (1Tim1:9-11) So every thing that pertains to sound doctrine is a part of the gospel. And even the law is in the gospel, to be used to restrain the unrighteous because they are not following and obeying the gospel; therefore they must be controlled by the law. So anyone who is not behaving according to the gospel is put under law.

Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel (2Tim1: 8) If you were of the world the world would love it’s own – They hated Christ without a cause – They called Him Beelzebub what are they going to do to His servants? When we enter into Christ and we answer the call to become fellow laborers in the gospel of Christ we come into strong opposition from the devil, the world, the false brethren and the heretical churches. And the opposition creates sufferings and the biggest thing we have to overcome is that fear of suffering that would cause us to disobey God, or be ashamed of the gospel or cease from the work. No matter the cost, if men are to be saved we must keep sharing the gospel even when that means sharing in the suffering. For Jesus says, “lo, I am with you always.”

But has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,  (2Tim1:10) So everything that pertains to eternal life and how to get it is part of the gospel. Remember that Jesus Christ, of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel, (2Tim2:8) And that means everything that pertains to the genealogy of Jesus is a part of the gospel because these things were prophesied concerning Him and these prophetic words must be shown to be fulfilled as proof that Jesus is the real Messiah; so that’s all part of the gospel. (1Pet1:12) “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” (Matt4:4) “And the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word, which by the gospel was preached to you. (1Pet1:25) Then every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, is Gospel.

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1Pet4:17) The gospel must be obeyed. (2Thes1:8) The “believers are not exempted from obedience or judgment. The fact is they are being judged first. (1Pet4:17) And all the unrepentant disobedient will be destroyed – whether they claim to be “believers” or not. The sinners in Zion are afraid; Fearfulness has seized the hypocrites: “Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?” He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, he who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil: He will dwell on high; his place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; bread will be given him, his water will be sure. (Is33:14-16)

Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth-- saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” (Rev14:6-7) Fearing God and giving glory to Him, understanding His judgment and worshipping Him is all a part of the gospel. And one of the last things we see preached in the gospel is by an angel who says, “judgment is coming; you better fear God.” The false gospel that is preached in most “churches” today doesn’t have judgment in it. And that proves it’s not the gospel. The Everlasting Gospel has judgment in it. Judgment is the whole reason why the gospel is necessary. If people don’t understand and fear God and give glory to Him and obey His gospel they will be destroyed in judgment. The good news is: you don’t have to be destroyed in the judgment. God has made a very wonderful provision for you to be made righteous through the grace of the one Man Jesus Christ. And if you will take hold of His gospel and all that is in it you can escape from judgment and you will be saved and that’s good news. That’s why the gospel is called God’s Good News.

Prophecy: I have said that I would show you the hidden treasures of darkness, and even now I am opening My secret treasures to you. Even now I am opening wide the double doors. Even now I am teaching you to prosper. All around you are those who claim they are My people who have sought My riches that I have denied them but will give to you. For they have sought Me for My riches, but you have sought Me for My righteousness. For you have come to Me to learn My ways and you deserve the blessings which others have desired but do not deserve. I tell you, in blessing I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you and I will raise you up. And I will make you a sign and a wonder so that those who have mocked will be ashamed when they realize that you are the sheep of My pasture, the people of My pleasure. And they will realize that they themselves in their arrogance and pride have thought they are My people when they were not, for their heart is far from Me. For even as I said in the days before, “Rejoice little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” The things which I have hidden from the wise and the prudent I open to you. For it is My desire to bless you. It is My desire to draw near to you and to bring you near to Me.  It is My desire to teach you My ways. It is My desire to use you to show others My ways. I have raised you up for this cause and this purpose, and what I have begun I will complete. I tell you, listen close to the things which I speak to you and follow closely the things which I place upon your heart, for I am leading you. I am leading you to the wells of living water. I am leading you to the secret treasures. I am leading you to the abundant supply for every good work by which I will be glorified in you, saith the Lord.

Prophecy: Those who have mocked you and said that you ask too much, and that I demand too much; that you should have church daily, that you should home school, that you should have daily Bible Studies with your children! “It is too much Christianity, too much religion!” This is what I will do to them: I will mock them and I will show them they have too little. I will show them the verity of My Word that says, “He who sows little shall reap little,” for indeed they shall reap nothing. But I shall show them the awesome blessings of My truth that says, “To him who sows much, much will be given.” For you have sown much and I will give you much. I will give you so much that those who have said, “Oh, He is asking too much of us, too much of you” will realize all I have asked is for you to sow much so that I could give you much and you could reap much. And oh, they will be sorry when they see the great harvest that you have and the paltry, empty harvest which they have, saith the Lord.

Prophecy: I say that there are many who seek to please Me in a way that is not acceptable to Me. And the way they seek to please Me is by reading My Word and obeying their interpretation of the letter of My Word. But, My people, I have taught you to know My Spirit. I have taught you to obey My Word through the voice of My Spirit speaking to you when to obey and where to obey and in what ways to obey. And what gives you life and what brings the blessing and what causes you to be fruitful is My Spirit who speaks to you to show you how in every way to obey My Word. I say to you, I am pleased with your faith that seeks My Spirit to show you My ways.
