His Mighty Power!/To the Prisoners! By Pastor Bill Taylor A publication of My Father's House, inc. Volume 7//Issue 2 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that’s named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And has put all things under His feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Eph1:17-23) Jesus already has all power and authority as many other scriptures attest, some also indicating how He may use His power. Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the LORD shall hold them in derision. Then He’ll speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I’ve set My King on My holy hill of Zion.” “I’ll declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, ‘You’re My Son, today I’ve begotten You. Ask of Me, and I’ll give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’” (Ps2:1-9) There’s such a wicked spirit in most men that all you have to do to expose their iniquity is tell them to do something, and there’ll be an automatic rising up in them of “Who do you think you are to tell me to do that?” That’s the spirit of which Paul says, “I wouldn’t have known covetousness unless the law said don’t covet. But sin taking opportunity by the law wrought in me evil desire.” (Rom7:7,8) As soon as God says don’t do something, sin says, “Who do you think you are telling me what I can or can’t do? I have free will. I’m my own master.” That’s the spirit of the devil. That’s how you discern him. It’s the desire to be God and have no one else tell you to do anything. So as soon as God made Jesus Lord, everything that’s not of God rises up against Him and says, “Who do you think you are making this Jesus Lord over us?” “Let’s break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us,” (Ps2:3) is the spirit of iniquity. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh. (v4) You’re not going to oppose Christ and win. His power is greater than yours and you’re going to find that out. God finishes by saying He’ll dash them into pieces like a potter’s vessel. (v9) Ask of Me and I’ll give you the nations for Your inheritance. (v8) The power Jesus has been given is such that He can destroy nations and has been destroying nations since Noah’s flood. Government after government has fallen. He’s been placed in a position of bringing anything that rises up against Himself, against His purposes, or against God’s plans, to an end. He has all power to bring that about. Most church people think we’ll see the demonstration of God’s power in healings, miracles and such, but there are even greater demonstrations of God’s power than healings. It was a mighty demonstration of God’s power that wiped out millions of people in World War II. That was God dashing the nations in pieces. Incredible changes of governments took place. The European colonial system totally broke down. For hundreds of years Britain, France and other European nations had colonies all over the world but that disappeared after World War II never to return. God did these things to forward His plan. Remember when Hezekiah prayed against Sennacherib who’d reproached the Lord saying, “By the multitude of my chariots I’ve come up to the height of the mountains, to the limits of Lebanon; I’ll cut down its tall cedars, and its choice cypress trees; I’ll enter its farthest height, to its fruitful forest. I’ve dug and drunk water, and with the soles of my feet I’ve dried up the brooks of defense,” but “Did you not hear long ago how I (God) made it, from ancient times that I formed it? Now I’ve brought it to pass that you should be for crushing fortified cities into heaps of ruins.” (Is37:24-26) God raised up Sennacherib to crush governments that He needed to get out of the way for His own purposes. But Sennacherib didn’t realize it was God who gave him such power. He thought he’d done this himself and he began to go beyond where God was sending him so God wiped him out also. (v37,38) God has continually raised up one nation to wipe out another that’s getting too uppity, or into a position that’s in the way of God’s will. When the nation He raises up starts using its strength to get in God’s way He wipes that one out too and brings up another one. So God keeps knocking them down, over and over, never letting anyone usurp Him. He’s in control. There’s a spirit in carnal men that continually opposes God, but God breaks nations in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Evil men will never rise up and take over the earth. (Is14:21) They’ll never thwart His plan. He’ll always raise up an opposing power to bring them down and then raise up another to bring that down. God will keep doing that until He’s destroyed all opposition to His will. Paul says, “I labored more abundantly than them all but it wasn’t me. It was the grace of God in me.” (1Cor15:10) Had Sennacherib realized that, God wouldn’t have done what He did to him. “Yes, I conquered nations but it wasn’t me, God was using me and I’m not going to do anything that goes beyond where God wants me to go.” There’s a man of God! “I realize where my strength comes from, it’s from the Lord. And I won’t go beyond where the Lord wants to take me.” That has to do with understanding the source and the uses of power, the reasons for power, which no one in this world seems to comprehend except truly Spiritual Christians, for we’re to understand the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe. (Eph1:19) Which power goes beyond healings and miracles, into the realm of destroying nations and governments and bringing down kingdoms as we saw what happened to the USSR in the breakdown of their confederacy. God’s power shattered them. And that same power is going to work against everything else that opposes God. Everything that opposes Christ, or opposes His true church will be brought to nothing by God’s power. And as true Christians we’re to be agents of God’s power. Being seated in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus (Eph2:6) unites us with Christ to be enforcers of God’s will. Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples… To execute on them the written judgment-- this honor have all His saints. (Ps149:5-7,9) The saints are raised with Christ into the heavenly heights of His supreme authority. (Col 3:1) And in Christ we’re to use that authority in the Spirit to accomplish the purposes of God. (Lk10:19) In Ephesians we see that God put all things under Jesus’ feet and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church. (1:22) In Colossians we’re admonished not be deceived by the philosophies of men and the principles of the world but to recognize we’re complete in Christ who’s Head of all principalities and power. (Col 2:8,10) We’re also warned to hold fast to Christ the Head. (v19) So we’re looking to the Headship of Christ. And whatever we lack we have not because we ask not. (Mt7:7) In whatever we’re not the Christian we ought to be, it’s because we aren’t asking the Head. As long as we’re asking things according to the will of God and not to consume it on our own lusts, if we’d ask and believe we’ve received we’d get what God has for us. (Mk11:24) And there’s nothing more important to ask than this: “Jesus, be my Head in all things. Let nothing rule over me except You. Take me completely into Your government. Don’t let my flesh rise up and usurp Your position or let me follow man in any way that would negate Your Headship. Don’t let me be carried away with misinterpreted scriptures and doctrines of demons. Let no wicked spirits have rule over me. Keep me for Yourself. Jealously guard me! I’m Yours and I won’t have any other head but You.” That’s the most important thing to pray for because if He’s not Head over us, we aren’t His church. If He’s not reigning in us we aren’t His people. The tragic truth is Jesus doesn’t have the Headship in most so-called “churches” today. Men reign. Demons reign. The Word of God is opposed and ignored in the very places it’s supposed to be preached. Such “churches” aren’t His people and such “christians” aren’t our brethren. And if they don’t repent Christ is going to smash these “churches” like a potter’s vessel in the same way He shatters nations because no one has the right to call themselves His people unless they are His people. Bring charges against your mother, bring charges; for she’s not My wife, nor am I her Husband! Let her put away her harlotries from her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts; lest I strip her naked and expose her, as in the day she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst. (Hos2:2,3) Every place I’ve ever preached outside “My Father’s House” that it’s possible to walk in the Spirit and live above sin scoffers would rise up and say, “You can’t be holy! You can’t be perfect! Nobody’s perfect!” They argue against what God says in the very “churches” where they should be worshipping Him. Therefore you’ll be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Mt5:48) We know that whoever’s born of God doesn’t sin; but he who’s been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one doesn’t touch him. (1Jn5:18) But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it’s written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” (1Pt1:15,16) Try to preach these scriptures as if believers should live up to them in most so-called “churches” today and demons will agitate the people to wickedly oppose you. It’s the same spirit that’s in the ten evil spies. God says, “Be ye holy,” they say, “We can’t be holy, we’re just sinners. Nobody can be perfect.” God says, “Go in and possess the land.” And these people say, “We can’t, the giants are too big.” The same wicked spirits that caused the evil spies to ruin Israel run rampant in most “churches” today to argue against the things God says. God says, “Wear a covering.” (1Cor11) “Oh no, we don’t have to wear a covering, that’s legal.” Anything Jesus says to do, they oppose it. It’s the spirit of iniquity. Tell them not to walk on the grass and they say, “I can walk on the grass if I want to.” It’s flesh that’s at enmity with God that reigns in them. (Rom8:7,8) And they doctrinalize it and excuse it and then claim they’re Christ’s church. The Church that’s ruled by Jesus, trembles at His Word! (Is66:2) His true church will have no other god but Him. And that’s the church He’s building here. Everything that comes against that is coming down, in the name of Jesus! Every false form of Christianity, every lying, wicked spirit that claims to love Him while it argues with His Word is coming down, because true Christians have the authority to bring these things down. He’s given that to us. For the weapons of our warfare aren’t carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2Cor10:4,5) Christ will reign until He brings all things into obedience. He’s doing that through a people who are enforcing His Lordship in the Spirit upon those things that oppose Him, a people who won’t stand for this opposition and won’t excuse it, but will expose it for what it is. He’ll not fail nor be discouraged till He’s established justice in the earth. (Is42:4) Jesus is going to accomplish all He’s been sent to do. Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. (Ps2:10-12) Christians are the Body of Christ. The Head of every man is Christ. (1Cor11:3) The Head of the church is Christ. (Eph5:23) We can’t truthfully say we belong to Jesus if He isn’t our Head. We can’t say we’re Christians if He isn’t our Head. We can’t claim to be His church if He isn’t our Head. And there are sure ways we can know He’s our Head. He’s defined the true believers in many ways. One of the simplest is, they do the will of God. (Mt12:50) They don’t ignore it, they don’t oppose it, and they don’t argue with it. They hear and do the Word of God. (Lk8:18) These are the brethren. They don’t argue with God’s Word they obey it. They love God’s Word and keep it. They don’t try to explain it away or twist it. (2Pt3:16) They walk in the Spirit. (Rom8:14) They actually know what Christ is doing in such a way as they can follow Him. (Jn15:14,15) That’s what walking in the Spirit is; being sensitive to what God is doing and doing it with Him. Concerning His true believers, Christ says, “If they kept My Word, they’ll keep yours also.” (Jn15:20) How do we know we’re real believers? Because we keep His Word! Then if anyone else is a real believer, they’ll keep His Word too and they’ll keep our word because what we get is from Him. It’s a sure way to discern the wheat from chaff. If they argue, they’re not His church. If they resist the things God is showing us they aren’t of God. We’re of God. He who knows God hears us; he who’s not of God doesn’t hear us. By this we know the Spirit of Truth and the spirit of error. (1Jn4:6) There are many antichrists in the world. (1Jn2:18) They aren’t of us for those who are of us understand us. The true brethren hear and obey the same Christ we hear and obey. But those who won’t listen can’t hear us because they can’t hear Christ. They’re anti-Christ! All these scriptures are given as definitions of the true church. We don’t have seventeen hundred different opinions of who the church is. We’ve got one. (Eph4:4-6) God’s true church is defined in the Bible. It’s defined by Jesus Christ. The true church is composed of people who make Christ Head and who obey Christ in all things and they don’t obey anyone but Jesus. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t hear them. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (Jn10:8,27) As the true church our foremost prayer is, “Lord, make Yourself Head in all things to us. Rule and reign in everything we do, not just when we’re in the church building, not just when we’re having Bible study, but all through the day. Let every thought of our minds be from you. Let every passion in our hearts be from You. Let us have no other gods but You. Let us have no other desires but those that are Yours. Be Head to me, Lord Jesus. Be Lord to me. Be Head of my family. Be Head of my house. Be Head of my church. And Lord, take back the ground the devil has stolen. Be Lord, in the prisons. Be Lord over the governments. Be Lord over the false churches. Break down their lies – their demonic doctrines – their pride – their humanisms – their iniquitous spirits. Break down their philosophies, their wicked false arguments against Your Truth. Establish Your Lordship completely. And, Jesus, we praise You and thank You. May You rule and reign completely over all things. Amen.” Prophecy: Many claim Me as their Head while not one of their thoughts comes from Me. But I tell you, My people are those in whom every thought is from Me. They bring every thought into captivity because they bring it to Me to see whether it’s right or wrong. Only those who come to Me and are led and directed and guided by Me, only those who trust in Me to establish their ways, only those are My children. And those who aren’t led by Me are going to show by the very things they do and don’t do that they’re not of Me. Because those who are of Me, when I tell them what to do, they do it. For they’re established in Me. They love Me more than they love their own ideas. They love Me more than they love themselves. Because of that they’re established in Me, and these are the people who are acceptable to Me, thus saith the Lord. Prophecy: Haven’t I said those who run a race must run according to the rules? Yet there are many so-called “churches,” many so-called “christians” who aren’t running according to My rules. And this is what I say to those who don’t run according to My rules: “You’re disqualified!” I say they’re disqualified because they’ve made up their own precepts, their own rules, their own laws. They’ve tried to run in My race according to their own imaginations. And this is what I’ll also do in My people who run according to My rules, who have faith in Me, who listen to Me and make Me their Head. I’ll make them like judges in a race who’ll blow the whistle against the rule breakers and say, “You’re disqualified! Get out of the race, you’re not running according to the rules.” And I say to you who are My people, I want you to blow that whistle loud and clear against those who aren’t running according to My rules. In any race in this natural realm rule breakers would be immediately thrown out. And in My Kingdom, if you’re not running according to My rules, I’ll throw you out because it’s not for a token prize that you run but for life and death. This race is for salvation – for My gospel – for people’s souls and these are things that I care for. And I won’t permit cheaters to run in My race therefore I’ll throw them out! Thus saith the Lord. Prophecy: I’m the God who raised up My people, who looked upon the afflictions of the children of Israel and by My power and might took them out of Egypt to establish them a kingdom. I’m the God who by My might and by My power raised up kings as Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus who did My will even when they didn’t know Me because I’m the God who has all power, authority and dominion forever and ever. And I tell you My people, I’m that way still today. I’m the God of power and might who can raise you up or bring you down. I have all power to do My will in the kingdoms of men, as I please, when I please, and how I please. For the earth is Mine - I created it. And I tell you, you high minded and proud peoples, you corporations and nations, you arrogant organizations and even “churches” who disobey My Word and scorn My ways, who have no thought of Me continually, who hold your meetings and your elections and your expert consultations while you have no concern for Me, I tell you I’ll bring you down. When My people did that I was the God who brought them down. And I’m also the God who’ll bring you down because you aren’t My people and I’m not your God. I’m not your head and you aren’t My body. But to My people, to those who listen to Me, obey Me, and do all I command: I’ll raise you up for glory, honor and splendor. I’ll raise you up and you’ll be exceedingly joyful. The high praises of God will be in your mouth and My sword in your hand. For you are My people. And I, the God who was, who is, and forevermore will be, am your God, thus saith the Lord. (Prophecies delivered at “My Father’s House”) TO THE PRISONERS! WHO WILL GO AND PREACH UNTO THE SPIRITS IN PRISON? (Mt 25:36, 1Pt3:19) Contributed by Jorge Felicciano In obedience to the admonition God Himself gives us to search out His mysteries in depth so we can receive of His Spiritual Strong Meat. (Heb5:13,14;6:1-3) Let us therefore consider one of the most excellent examples of the love and compassion of our Savior, Jesus Christ (Jn15:13) but from a deeper point of view as God allows us in accordance with our unwavering faith. (Jms1:5,6) One of the divine purposes of God the Father in permitting the crucifixion of His Son, Jesus Christ, was to send Him to PREACH TO THE SPIRITS IN PRISON, WHO FORMERLY WERE DISOBEDIENT, WHEN ONCE THE LONGSUFFERING WAITED IN THE DAYS OF NOAH, WHILE THE ARK WAS BEING PREPARED. (1Pt3:19,20) Which spirits never had the knowledge of sin which comes by the law. (Rom3:20) Whereby God fulfills the scriptures as given through Paul, “How shall they hear without a preacher?” (Rom10:14) Yet which poses the mystery of how God could justify the entry of Jesus Christ into hell while preserving Him without any stain of sin. Which God effected in this manner, after Jesus at the point of death committed His spirit into the hands of God the Father, (Lk23:46) whereupon, because Jesus knew no sin and since it is required for a soul to sin in order to enter into hell (hell being the dwelling place of the spiritually dead! – Ezek18:4) therefore God hath laid on Him (Jesus Christ) the iniquity of us all… (Is53:6) making Him to be sin for us… (2Cor5:21) thereby enabling the soul of Jesus Christ to invade like an undercover agent in camouflage the very heart of hell while carrying His gospel to the rescue of those spirits in prison. Now days, though we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom3:23) we can never-the-less refer to this profound example in the excellence of the love of God for these souls that Jesus Christ manifested through His sacrifice, for us to have a better understanding of how God in His unsearchable sovereignty (Rom 9:20,21) allowed for us to enter these prisons upon the offense or crime that God in his excellent wisdom allowed satan to tempt us into committing due to the uncrucified nature of the flesh that reigned in us at that time. God thereby through our subsequent regeneration has gained access into the very heart of these prisons (similar to little hells) using us who are now His, like Jesus Christ, as invaders of these places with His gospel, now that His Holy Spirit has allowed us to grow together with Christ in the Spirit (Eph3:16-19) unto a greater glory (2Cor3:18) having endured His chastening. (Job5:17,18) So that now we can give irrefutable evidences exhibited through our own lives by comparing our former behavior with our present, of the life changing power of God’s love (1Cor13:1-13) since we are here, bound with them. (Heb13:3) This evidence through our lives preaches more effectively than the absence of ministers who have failed to or in various ways have been prevented from assuming the responsibility of their callings. (Mt25:43,Ezek34:2) As also it preaches to the administrators in charge who are also in need of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ which they can receive through our Christian behavior and confession, as observed in the Philippian jail where a keeper of the prison was delivered from suicide and his whole family saved because of the testimony of Paul and Silas who were also in bonds, but witnessing to fellow prisoners by singing praises unto God. (Act16:23-34) And in regard to our release back to society, just like God the Father with His mighty hand resurrected Jesus back from the dead, once this specific divine purpose among many others, was fulfilled (Rom10:14,15;Ps16:10) in the same way God will open the doors (Rev3:7;Is45:1,2) to restore us back to our brethren in the free community and establish our well-being! (1Pt5:10) Prophecy: I desire to give salvation to all men. It’s in My heart to bring all men to the saving knowledge of the Truth that they may know Me. For to know Me is eternal life. But as it’s in My heart to reach out and save, it’s also in My heart to greatly shame those who say they know Me but don’t know My Spirit nor My Word. Such men exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. They exalt themselves above My Word. But I say, their proud and arrogant hearts are coming down. I’ll bring them down through My mighty power. For My power will overcome the power of the wicked one. And I’ll greatly shame those who say they know My Spirit, who falsely proclaim that I’ve called them into their wicked and vain works. I’ll shut their mouths and they’ll hang their heads in shame, saith the Lord. And this is how I’ll save some. Some will turn when their iniquity has been exposed and they’ll come to a true repentance and be sorrowful for their wicked ways. I say to you, My people, I’ll be your Head as you look to Me. And I’ll use you mightily to shame those who falsely say they belong to Me. Stay close to Me, My people. Trust in Me and depend upon Me at all times and I’ll shut their mouths in your presence and cause them to bow before you. And in that awesome day of divine appointment, they’ll see they’ve not known Me, for I’ll make it clear to them. I’ll show them in an irrefutable way they’ve not obeyed Me nor My Word. And I’ll use you greatly, My people, right here in this place. For you’re Mine and My Spirit is upon you to bring to shame those wicked men who claim to be Mine and aren’t, thus saith the Lord. Prophecy: Oh wicked man, Oh proud and haughty man, Oh proud and haughty woman. Who are you to rise up against the Almighty? Who are you to come against Me, the One who shakes continents, brings down governments, sets forests on fire? As though a grain of sand could throw it’s self against the mountains, a speck of dust rise up against the moon. Who are you? I’ll put you in your place and you’ll know how small you are, saith the Lord. You’ll see how little you are in My sight for I’ll bring down your haughtiness and your pride. And you’ll know that I’m God and you’re but worms, saith the Lord. Prophecy: My Kingdom doesn’t come in word only, but with power. And that power comes to men who bow the knee and ask Me to deliver them, to change their hearts and conform them to the image of My Son, Jesus Christ. And I say to those who claim I’m their God but deny My power to change them, “Woe to you. Woe to you, for I’ll bring you down. I’ll show you that I’m not your God.” For those who have Me as their God will shame you because they’re going to be just like My Son: full of power, overcoming sin and doing those things that are pleasing in My sight. So I say, “Woe to you.” And I tell you, “Repent!” For the Kingdom of God is at hand and I’m disgusted with your false religion. I’m disgusted with your vain sacrifices. I desire obedience. And that obedience comes through the Lordship of My Son, Jesus Christ, living in you, reigning in you, and ruling in you in power, thus saith the Lord God Almighty! Prophecy: My servant Job learned an awesome lesson about what man is to Me and when he learned that he was the humblest man alive. Yet people who are nothing compared to My servant Job, try to mold Me, try to tell Me how to correct them and even argue with Me concerning what My salvation is. And to you who rise up against Me thus says the Lord, “SHUT UP! Shut your mouths! You speak worthless things.” And again I say, “REPENT and TURN! Let Me be your Head. Be for the Lord or die in your sins. I’ll either be your best friend or your greatest fear.” For many times I’ve gone what seems a subtle path, but concerning My church, I’ll have her. No demon in hell, no man on earth will stand in the way of My having My church and My church, My glorious Bride, must be a righteous people, here and now. And to you who are unrighteous I say, “Your excuses won’t save you. What you think salvation is won’t save you.” And My people I tell you, speak these things aloud for I don’t know subtlety concerning My true church. I’ll fall on My enemies like a powerhouse and the sons of men will know that I’m God and they’re but men. The wicked are dust to Me. So My people shout it from the rooftops. I’ve anointed you to confront these wicked lies. Speak all that I’ve spoken to you with power for I’ve granted you to do so. And My fear shall fall on men in a mighty way, I the Lord have spoken it.
