Christians Aren't Sinners!/Road To Emmaus! By Pastor Bill Taylor A publication of My Father's House, inc. Volume 7//Issue 9 Prophecy: There are many who think if they worship Me they can sit in their pews, hide from the enemy and behave as cowards while I fight the battle for them. Many who claim to be Mine cower behind My name, wanting Me to protect them and give them the victory when they won’t stand up for Me or My Word. They look for any way to enter into My blessings without having to face the enemy themselves. They hide behind prayer and even behind scriptures which they’ve twisted to their own destruction and they gather together with other cowards like themselves to formulate false philosophies of Christianity. They cover themselves with spider webs while professing to be dressed in the robes of Christ. But I tell you My people, worshipping Me is a good thing when it comes from a brave heart, from a courageous believer who’ll stand up for Me. But it’s a stench in My nostrils when it comes from a coward who flees from the battle. And I tell you the victory won’t be given to cowards. For the victory won’t come until someone stands up for Me, for My Word, My ways, and rebukes the oppressor, the lies and falsehoods, and bravely and courageously fights for My Truth. Through that one I’ll bring the victory for he’s the one who worships Me in Spirit and in Truth. He’s the one who glories in Me, loves Me, and pleases Me. And he’s the one whom I’ll delight to bless, says the Lord. (Prophecy delivered at “My Father’s House”) We know whoever’s born of God doesn’t sin; but he who’s been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one doesn’t touch him. (1Jn5:18) Little children, keep yourselves... (v21) We know if we do sin there’s a propitiation but we aren’t to believe we’re under the power of sin and destined to continue to be sinners. My little children, these things I write to you so you may not sin. (1Jn2:1) He who says, “I know Him,” and doesn’t keep His commandments is a liar and the Truth isn’t in him. (v4) If you know He’s righteous, you know everyone who practices (does) righteousness is born of Him. (v29) Beloved now we’re children of God; and it hasn’t yet been revealed what we shall be but we know when He’s revealed we’ll be like Him for we’ll see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself just as He’s pure. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness and sin is the transgression of the law. And you know He was manifested to take away our sins and in Him there’s no sin. Whoever abides in Him doesn’t sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. He who sins is of the devil. Whoever’s been born of God doesn’t sin for His seed remains in him; and he can’t sin because he’s been born of God. (1Jn3:2-6,8,9) This is how we can tell the children of God from the children of the devil. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest. (1Jn3:10) There’s a very deadly heresy in “Baptist-type” christianity that believers are sinners and that’s all they’re ever going to be in this world so we’re just supposed to confess our sins every day while we continue being hopeless captives to sin. This is absolutely contrary to orthodox Christian faith. It’s a doctrine of demons. It disagrees completely with the teachings of the bible in which believers were sinners but have been delivered from the power of sin unto the power of God. I’ll deliver you from the Jewish people as well as from the Gentiles to whom I now send you to open their eyes in order to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God... (Act26:17,18) The power of God means we rule over sin. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or don’t you know as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Knowing this, our old man was crucified with Him that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For the death He died He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin... Therefore don’t let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. For sin shall not have dominion over you for you aren’t under law but under grace. Don’t you know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey you’re that one’s slave whom you obey whether of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness? (Rom6:1-3,6,10-12,14,16) If you’re obeying sin you’ll die but if you obey righteousness you’ll live. (Rom8:13) And having been set free from sin you became slaves of righteousness. (Rom6:18) But now having been set free from sin and having become slaves of God you have your fruit to holiness and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death... (v22,23) You aren’t saved if you think you’re just a sinner who has to sin every day. We who receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life. (Rom5:17) Meaning we reign over sin. It doesn’t reign over us. In my flesh nothing good dwells. (Rom7:18) Paul knows we need a deliverance from the sin in our flesh but he finds that deliverance. I thank God-- through Jesus Christ our Lord! (v25) There’s therefore now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus who don’t walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Rom8:1) I say then: Walk in the Spirit and you’ll not fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Gal 5:16) One who believes himself to be a sinner who must sin every day is denying his ability to walk in the Spirit by faith. Those who believe this don’t believe Christ can live in us because if Christ lives in us we’ll reign over sin. You’re of God little children and have overcome them because He who’s in you is greater than he who’s in the world. (1Jn4:4) For whatever’s born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that’s overcome the world-- our faith. (1Jn5:4) So they have a false “christianity” if they believe they’re forgiven of sin, but can’t overcome sin. Sin continues to overcome them, yet they say Christ is in them! Whoever abides in Him doesn’t sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. (1Jn3:6) The bible teaches if Christ is in you, you won’t sin (1Jn3:8,9) – if you’re really born again, if you put on the new man, (Eph4:24) you’d have power thru the Spirit by faith to live in a way acceptable to God in not disobeying Him. In fact a great purpose of Jesus’ coming was to give us that power. I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it’s the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it’s written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Rom1:16,17) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Rom8:14) There’s no condemnation because there’s no sin if you walk in the Spirit. There’s therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Rom8:1) That the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who don’t walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (v4) Paul goes on to say, “If you live according to the flesh you’ll die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you’ll live.” (v13) Which means by the Spirit you’re putting to death the sin and not letting it reign. So “believers” who think they’re just supposed to keep sinning and confessing their sin have no faith for the Spirit of Christ to dwell in them and give them victory over sin and according to the bible they’ll die in their sin. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2Tim3:5) In these end times many have an outward form of religion but they don’t have the power to overcome sin! The power of Christianity is the power to overcome sin – to be delivered from the power of satan and unto the power of God. (Acts26:18) And from such people (religious sinners) turn away! Have fellowship with them? Call them brothers? Shake their hands? God says, from such people turn away! God’s Word proves; Christians aren’t sinners and sinners aren’t Christians! People who claim to be Christians but believe they’re still sinners aren’t Christians. Such people don’t have a faith that saves – they don’t have the faith that overcomes this world. (1Jn5:4) You can’t say of a person in whom sin is reigning greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in the world. Obviously what’s in such a “believer” is the spirit of sin. Such people aren’t of Jesus. The bible teaches if we have faith for Christ to live in us, we’ll reign over sin thru Christ. So we won’t be sinners, but saints. In the Greek saint means “holy ones.” Saints aren’t sinners who continue to sin and repent, sin and repent. We’re overcoming sin. Although 1st John says there’s a propitiation if we fall into sin by accident, we have a faith that we aren’t going to keep being sinners. Our faith is the power of God will perfect us. Jesus says, “If you continue in My Word, you’re My disciples indeed.” (Jn8:31) Obviously “believers” who think they’re still sinners aren’t His disciples. They aren’t continuing in His Word. “And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” (v32) The Truth is the one who obeys sin is a slave to sin not free! (Rom6:16) But Jesus says if you continue in His Word you’ll be made free and He’s talking about being free from sin. You won’t be in bondage to the devil anymore. But the Jews reply to Jesus, “We’re Abraham’s descendants and have never been in bondage to anyone.” Which is a lie. They’ve been in bondage to lots of people – Nebuchadnezzar etc. and right now they’re in bondage to the Romans. But even more than that they’re in bondage to sin. The Jews go on, “How can you say, ‘You’ll be made free?’” (Jn8:33) Jesus answers, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.” (v34) The “believers” today who claim they’re still sinners, aren’t set free from sin which is the very thing from which Jesus says He’ll set you free if you continue in His Word. Obviously they haven’t continued in His Word. Although they think they’re free from the punishment of sin, they aren’t set free from the power of sin because they’re still sinners. Peter describes such as, having eyes full of adultery that can’t cease from sin. (2Pt2:14) People who can’t cease from sin aren’t saints. They’re false “christians.” While they promise them liberty they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome by him also he’s brought into bondage. (2Pt2:19) Jesus sets us free from bondages to sin. I believe therefore I speak... (2Cor4:13) If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus... (Rom10:10) Faith works in such a way that when you believe rightly in your heart, you’ll confess it with your mouth because out of the heart the mouth speaks. (Mt12:34) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Rom10:10) So, if you believe in your heart you’re a sinner and confess it with your mouth you’ll be condemned because with the mouth confession is made unto damnation if that’s what you believe just as it’s made unto salvation if you’re confessing Christ. For with the heart a man can believe unto iniquity or with the heart a man can believe unto righteousness. (Mt12:34) With the mouth you can confess unto damnation or you can confess unto salvation. If you have unbelief in your heart and it comes out of your mouth you’re doing the opposite of what you must do to be saved. When you believe you’re an incorrigible sinner and let that come out of your mouth you’re disagreeing with the Word of God as to how God describes His saints. You’re disagreeing with the purposes of God. You’re disagreeing with the Spirit of God. You’re agreeing with a doctrine of demons that’s been promulgated by modern day Pharisees. (2Cor11:13-15) In His day Jesus called them a brood of vipers. Vipers have poison in them. Anything that’s a deception is poison. Many “churches” today, instead of teaching what the bible says and helping people overcome sin, are teaching people they can’t overcome sin. And when they get that lie into someone it’s just as if they’d been bitten by a Cobra. The devil’s poison is in them now and it’s damning their soul. They can’t hear the Word of God rightly anymore. They’ve been captured by a deadly spirit that calls them a sinner and says all they can ever be is a sinner. So they keep trying to confess their sins but it doesn’t work to keep confessing sin when you aren’t bringing forth fruits worthy of repentance. (Lk3:7,8) The bible warns you shouldn’t cause a brother to stumble because he might perish if his conscience is hurt. (1Cor8:9-13) But now many “believers” say they sin every day yet their conscience doesn’t bother them because they think they’re saved even while they sin. So in the first century church Paul speaks of believers whose conscience is so tender they can perish if they stumble into sin but today believers have a conscience that is so seared (1Tim4:2) they can’t believe they’ll be lost even while they’re continually sinning! And they believe a lie for the bible says he who sins is of the devil. (1Jn3:8) When you say you’re a sinner saved by grace that means you used to be a sinner but you’re not a sinner anymore because if you’re still a sinner you must be of the devil. He who sins is of the devil. And if you’re saying you’re a sinner but know Christ, you’re a liar! He who says, “I know Him,” and doesn’t keep His commandments is a liar and the Truth isn’t in him. (1Jn2:4) And if you’re a liar, You’re of your father the devil… When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he’s a liar and the father of it. (Jn8:44) Concerning the purposes of God the Lord has made it very clear to me we must expose the apostate “churches!” For example, there are many books available cataloging the terrible apostasies – sins that haven’t been repented of or turned away from and doctrinal errors of the Roman Catholics. They worship and pray to Mary when the bible says we’re to pray to the Father in the name of Jesus. (Jn16:26,27) For there’s one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, (1Tim2:5) They pray to and worship hundreds of saints which is polytheism like the ancient Greeks and Romans who had hundreds of gods, though the bible says, “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one!” (Dt6:4) Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it’s written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” (Mt4:10) They worship the wafer they use at masses claiming it’s the actual Body of Christ when the bible says Jesus is the Bread of Life in a symbolic sense meaning He’s the Word of God made flesh. (Jn1:1,14) And you must eat of that Word by hearing and doing it. “I’m the bread of life. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. It’s the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The Words I speak to you are Spirit and they’re life.” (Jn6:48,57,63) But He answered and said to them, “My mother and My brothers are these who hear the Word of God and do it.” (Lk8:21) They forbid their priests to marry when the bible says to forbid to marry is a doctrine of demons. (1Tim4:1-3) They’ve covered up thousands of cases of pedophilia, homosexuality and other such heinous sins in their “celibate” priesthood. They pray the “rosary” repeating the same words over and over when Jesus says, “When you pray don’t use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think they’ll be heard for their many words.” (Mt6:7) And many such other things they do. “In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.” (Mt15:9) The history of the Roman Catholic church is she’s murdered millions of real Christians for merely believing the bible, including William Tyndale because he gave the bible to the common people so they could read the Word of God for themselves. If Catholics had retained the power they had in the Middle Ages none of us would even possess a bible. She’s the harlot church described in Revelations as drunk with the blood of the saints. (Rev17:6) She’s the church of hundreds of murdering dictators. She’s lain in bed with numerous of evil governments, including Hitler in W.W. II. Can anyone believe Italy could have allied herself with Hitler’s atrocities without the cooperation of Rome and the pope? She’s the church of the mafia. She baptizes “faithless” babies and she’s killed thousands of Anabaptists for baptizing adults in faith and in accordance with the scripture. (see the book “Martyrs’ Mirror”) She teaches lies and has participated in countless murders. “You’re of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the Truth, because there’s no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he’s a liar and the father of it.” (Jn8:44) Catholics and their cohorts had us thrown out of our Nursing home ministry. In the prisons with their Baptist cohorts they’ve tried to incite the secular authorities against us – just as the Jews of old would incite government leaders against Paul in the early church. Catholics have become the antichrist Jews of today. Who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they don’t please God. But wrath has come upon them to the uttermost. (1Th2:15,16) They’re often persecutors of God’s true saints today because they love their lies and vehemently hate anyone who exposes them. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1Jn3:15) Their father is the devil. It’s usually Catholics who oppose the death penalty quoting, “Thou shalt not kill” from the Ten Commandments, but ignoring Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man. Whoever kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the testimony of witnesses; but one witness is not sufficient testimony against a person for the death penalty. Moreover you shall take no ransom for the life of a murderer who is guilty of death, but he shall surely be put to death. (Gen9:6;Num35:30,31) They pretend to be standing up for God’s Word while in Truth they war against it. (Rev3:9) The only way for a member of the Catholic “church” not to partake of her sins is to, “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Don’t touch what’s unclean, and I’ll receive you. I’ll be a Father to you, and you’ll be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty. (2Cor6:17,18) No sane Christian who loves the Lord and God’s Word could ever consider a practicing Roman Catholic to be saved or to be a Christian. Although many Catholics may be ignorant of the wickedness their church has been associated with it would be a mistake to think of anyone as being a “good” Catholic. It’s much the same as saying someone could be a “good Nazi.” A “good” Nazi couldn’t really be good because the party he belongs to is bad so even when he does good he’s doing it for a bad cause. Don’t lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people’s sins; keep yourself pure. (1Tim5:22) If anyone comes to you and doesn’t bring this doctrine, don’t receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds. (2Jn10,11) When you help the wicked you become a partaker in their sins. And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Therefore the wrath of the LORD is upon you.” (2Chr19:2) And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” (Rev18:4) Satan comes as an angel of light. (2Cor11:14) As a Catholic you’ll go to hell if you don’t get right with God and repent of being a party to a harlot church that’s filled with every kind of abomination against God and pays little or no attention to His Word. Heaven and Earth will pass away but God’s Word won’t pass away. (Mt24:35) Jesus warns that His Word will judge you in the last days. (Jn12:48) The Catholics are in big trouble and God’s Word will judge them. They aren’t saved. But I don’t have to expose the Catholics. They’ve been exposed. Today the Baptist-type churches have also been practicing a pharisaical false “christianity” that disagrees with several major premises of true Christianity. Later in this book I will catalogue four major doctrines of the Baptists that are totally disagreeable to the Word of God and very vital to salvation and prove they’re false “christians” and a cult. The Baptists are enemies to God’s Word – enemies to God’s true church – enemies to God’s true people. They’re often viciously and aggressively opposed to Godly Truth. Many times as we’ve stood up for the Truth, for example, that Christians aren’t sinners, Baptists have viciously attacked us. We don’t go after them, but they’d come into our meetings to harass us just like the Pharisees would come after Jesus. Many have in them the very spirit of the Pharisees; the spirit of antichrist. Others are in ignorance but it doesn’t change the fact that they’re of their father the devil even as Jesus said to the Pharisees, “You’re doing the deeds of your father the devil” (Jn8:41,44) to a people who were ignorant and thought they were serving God. For the purpose that believers can distinguish the Spiritual church – the true church – from the false it’s necessary that the sins of the false churches like the Baptists be exposed that they may be seen to be heretics and enemies to the cross of Christ, (Phil 3:18) so Christians can avoid these false brethren, shun them, turn away from them and not become victims of their wickedness. (1Tim6:3-5) That’s one thing God is calling me and all true Christians to do. We’re the reformers of this day just as Jesus and His apostles were the reformers of their days against the Pharisees and as the Anabaptists were the reformers in their days against the Catholic lies. There’s a battle that goes on from generation to generation against the demons that keep trying to destroy, ruin, or corrupt Christianity. Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude1:3) But what I do I’ll also continue to do that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. (2Cor11:12,13) Shame on the Baptists, and the Catholics. Their sins are as bad as Mormons or Jehovah Witnesses. They aren’t saved because they’ve denied the faith that saves. The faith that saves delivers from sin, but they’ve denied God can deliver them from sin. “We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,” (Gal 2:15) Paul says true Jews aren’t sinners, and that’s because they keep the law. Sin is the transgression of the law. (1Jn3:4OKJ) If you show partiality you commit sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall keep the whole law and yet stumble in one point, he’s guilty of all. (Jms2:9,10) Here James also says breaking the law makes you guilty of sin, while Paul says of himself, “concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.” (Phil 3:6) So Paul even as a Pharisee wasn’t a sinner – and Jesus says, “Unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you’ll by no means enter the Kingdom of heaven.” (Mt5:20) Today most “christians” confess themselves to be “sinners” which means they don’t even have a righteousness equal to that of the scribes and Pharisees. Or the Jews by nature aren’t sinners. But Paul goes on to say, “knowing that a man isn’t justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” (Gal 2:16) So even keeping the law blamelessly doesn’t make one eligible for Heaven. As Jesus says again, “You’ve heard it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Mt5:27,28) Keeping the law isn’t committing adultery but to be fit for Heaven you must not even lust in your heart. So, Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish that the outside may be clean also. (Mt23:26) To enter Heaven your heart (inside) must be purified by faith. (Act15:9) Thus not only is a real Christian not a sinner as defined by being a transgressor of God’s commandments but he doesn’t even have sin in his heart. Much of what calls itself Christianity today isn’t even equal to Old Testament Judaism in its righteousness and can by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven because true Christians were sinners but being saved by grace they’re sinners no more – but have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2Cor5:21) Their faith produces the reality of Christ in them and they demonstrate Christ by walking sinlessly in the Spirit thus proving themselves to be saints in Christ and not sinners. Now to Him who’s able to keep you from stumbling, and present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. (Jude24) If you ask a typical Baptist, “Do you believe God can do anything?” he’ll answer, “Yes.” But if you ask him, “Do you believe a Christian can live without sin?” he’ll say, “NO!” So according to the Baptists God can’t keep you from stumbling and present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy! You don’t really believe God can do anything if you don’t believe He can keep a saint from sinning. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. (1Th5:23,24) God’s Word says God can sanctify us to such a degree that we’re faultless. Now either you believe this is true or you don’t. And if you think it is impossible for a Christian to stop sinning then you don’t believe God’s Word is true and you’re calling God a liar. You don’t really believe God can do anything. You don’t believe He can keep a saint from sinning! And that’s a heresy of the highest degree. It’s the most evil kind of a heresy to say God can’t sanctify His people and make them stronger than sin; clean them and keep them clean. No sin in the flesh – no sin in the soul (mind) – no sin in the spirit! Body, soul and spirit preserved blameless; not made blameless at the coming of the Lord but preserved blameless until the Lord comes. It’s God’s purpose in Christ, in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight – If indeed you continue in the faith… Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. (Col 1:22,23,28, 29) Do all things without complaining and disputing that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life… (Phil 2:14-16) Till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Eph4:13) There can’t be any unity between a people who believe God’s Word and a people who don’t; a people who believe we’re sinners and are going to stay sinners and that’s all we can be is sinners who’ll sin every day. And these unbelievers get what they “believe.” They get to be sinners every day. And there can be no unity with them if we true Christians are going on with Christ to perfection. The unbelief of the false “christians” will prevent them from entering God’s Kingdom. And they can never walk together (Am3:3) with those of us who are in the faith that God can keep us from sinning – can sanctify us – can live and dwell in us and can cause us to walk before Him blameless even as Paul prays, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and Spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, (Col 1:9,10) which has to mean a walk without sin because any sin would be displeasing to Him.
If we’re to keep the unity of the Spirit until we come to the unity of the faith (Eph4:3,13) we must believe we can be sanctified completely (body, soul and spirit) and be found blameless in the day of Christ’s appearing. (1Th5:23) We must believe the power of God can do that in us. (Eph1:18-20) We’re believing for Christ to live in us, ruling and reigning in power and giving us the victory over sin, deceptions, and the flesh! You’re of God little children and have overcome them because He who’s in you is greater than he who’s in the world. (1Jn4:4) For whatever’s born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith. (1Jn5:4) We’re believing for all of that and in no way can we associate with a people who won’t believe that. Can two walk together, unless they’re agreed? (Am3:3) Baptists aren’t saints. They aren’t brethren. People who can’t believe God can bring us to perfection – who resist and fight against the very idea of it – can’t be in any way connected to the real church of our Lord Jesus Christ because they’re opposed to the very purpose of Christ’s church which is to bring us into perfection in Christ. (Eph4:11-16) The bible tells you to reject such people. (Tit3:10) Baptists are the very fulfillment of the scriptures that there’d come a time when people would deny the power of God though they have a form of godliness – having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (2Tim3:5) Here are the four points of apostasy I promised to show you about Baptist-type churches. The first heresy is the one we just covered. The bible tells us we’re to believe God can perfect and sanctify us and that we can walk without sin by walking in the Spirit. The bible says the new man can’t sin (1Jn3:9) and we’re to put on that new man (Eph4:24) and in every way avoid sin and expose it. (5:11) The second major heretical doctrine of the Baptists is they don’t believe they can lose their salvation. But the scripture says, Consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. (Rom11:22) And, All these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. (1Cor10:11,12) Don’t you know the unrighteous won’t inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the Kingdom of God. (1Cor6:9,10) So the true church that understands the bible rightly believes we can be perfected but if we disobey God we can lose our salvation. The Baptists believe they can’t be perfected, but they can’t lose their salvation; a complete contradiction. The Baptist’s beliefs are absolutely opposite to the beliefs of true Christians, which should tell you something about the Baptists because the devil is always opposite to God. When God says, “Go right” the devil says, “Go left.” When God says, “Do it” the devil says, “Don’t do it.” When God says, “Don’t do it” the devil says, “Do it.” We’ve already documented “once saved/always saved” as a terrible heresy. (see our book “What The Bible Says About Once Saved Always Saved”) “Once saved/always saved” creates a false sense of assurance: like “peace and safety” when sudden destruction is coming. (1Th5:3) It makes people feel they don’t need to obey God or be diligent – causes them not to tremble at His Word – and encourages them to believe nothing can cause them to miss Heaven no matter what they do. It’s a terrible demonic doctrine. Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. (Mt15:6b) Jesus has made known to me that He hates the Baptist’s beliefs – their doctrines – their organization – their pride. “Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.” (Rev2:15) And if you want to be saved you need to repent from being a Baptist. You need to stop fellowshipping with Jesus’ enemies because Baptists are His enemies. They’re enemies to Christ, to His Word, His Ways, His Truth and to His true church. A third major problem with the Baptist-type churches is they wrongly believe when the bible says we’re saved by grace through faith and not of works (which means not works of our own) this means we don’t need to enter into the works of God and Christ. They totally reject a major doctrine of true Christianity that, We’re His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Eph2:10) And that those who’ve believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. (Tit3:8) The saving grace described in Titus refutes many heresies of the Baptists and shows they obviously don’t understand their bibles. The grace of God that brings salvation (saving grace) has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age. (Tit2:11,12) The grace the Baptists think saves them is a “grace to be forgiven” while they continue to sin. The grace the bible says saves us is where God gives us the power to stop sinning. I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it’s the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it’s written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Rom1:16,17) Even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which doesn’t bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Mt3:10) Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine neither can you unless you abide in Me. If anyone doesn’t abide in Me, he’s cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they’re burned. (Jn15:4,6) For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it and bears herbs useful for those by whom it’s cultivated, receives blessing from God; but if it bears thorns and briars it’s rejected and near to being cursed whose end is to be burned. (Heb6:7,8) God will render to each one according to his deeds: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and don’t obey the Truth, but obey unrighteousness-- indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish… (Rom2:6-9) God hasn’t done away with the requirement of producing good works or good fruit if you’re to be acceptable in the Kingdom of Heaven. What He’s done is defined the fact that you can’t do anything on your own that He’ll accept as good fruit. Apart from Jesus you can do nothing. (Jn15:5) Therefore your “works” apart from Christ can’t save you. But if you have a true faith in Jesus, Jesus will work in you to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil 2:13) and make you fruitful as a co-worker with Him and that’s the only fruit God will accept – and it’s absolutely necessary that you be found fruitful if you’re to be saved. But the Baptist churches have done away with works all together. Therefore they’ve done away with salvation. Do you want to know O foolish man that faith without works is dead? Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. (Jms2:20-24) The fourth Baptist heresy is: Jesus says, “You must live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God” (Mt4:4) but the Baptists reject much of God’s Word saying it’s passed away. For example, Paul says, “Don’t forbid to speak with Tongues” but the Baptists do forbid to speak with Tongues. (1Cor14:39) They chop the bible up and say, “Certain parts aren’t for today.” I heard a Baptist recently who said, “I don’t need the Old Testament. The Old Testament isn’t for “christians.” The Truth is the first century church had ONLY the Old Testament. New Covenant Christianity was prophesied, defined and preached from the Old Testament because there was no New Testament. During the times the New Testament was being written the Christians were living from the Old Testament because every word in the New Testament has its foundation in the Old Testament and as the Word of God is forever established; Heaven and Earth will pass away but Jesus’ Words won’t pass away; God’s Old Testament words won’t pass away either. The New Testament is the branches that have grown out of the Old Testament roots. Jesus said the Old Testament wouldn’t pass away until every word was fulfilled (Mt5:18) and the Old Testament has a lot in it yet to be fulfilled. But worse than that many Baptist-type churches have absolutely denied things that the apostles have told us to do. Paul say, Earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way. Pursue love, and desire Spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. (1Cor12:31;14:1a) But the Baptists have a false doctrine that gifts of the Spirit have passed away. The Truth is nothing that God has given the church has passed away. So the Baptists don’t believe we’re to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. They believe they can manipulate the Word according to whatever their fake teachers feel like, which makes them very similar to the Catholics. Christ in me has given you four scriptural points any one of which is enough to require a true Christian to dissociate from the Baptists for being false brethren. The Word of God says, from such people turn away. (2Tim3:5;1Tim6:5;2Th3:14) By this God has unmasked the Baptists as a heretical cult. Mormons are a cult. Jehovah Witnesses are a cult. Baptists are a cult. Catholics are a cult. Cults are not defined by how many people are in them. They’re cults because of the inaccuracy and the falseness of their worship (and doctrine) compared to what the bible requires of us. And the Baptist worship is false. Their doctrine doesn’t agree with the Word of God. It doesn’t agree with the faith found in true Christians who rightly divide the Word of Truth. (2Tim2:15) Therefore Baptists and others who “believe” like them are to be rejected as brethren. No true Christian can have fellowship with them except to admonish, reprove and rebuke them and say, “Shame on you! Shame on you for perverting the Words of God and claiming to be His people. Shame on you for following men instead of following God. Shame on you for twisting the holy Word of God – not reading it for yourself – not investigating it – not listening to God – not seeking His Truth out. Shame, shame, shame on you for fighting for your heretical doctrines against the true people of God.” If you want to understand what Jesus and His apostles are like and how they interpret the doctrines they teach you must look at how they behave. One thing that’s most disagreeable to the apostles of Christ in the behavior of many “christians” today is when someone disagrees with God’s Truth as it’s being preached or shared and the contemporary “christian” says, “We love you!” to the blasphemer! Do you know you can’t even find the word “love” in the book of Acts? It’s not there. In all the evangelizing and preaching in the book of Acts whenever the apostles encountered people who disagreed with their God given message they’d dust their feet off. They didn’t say, “We love you” but they said, “We’re going somewhere else.” They’d warn such people, “You’ve missed your chance to be saved.” When they opposed him and blasphemed he shook his garments and said, “Your blood be upon your own heads; I’m clean. From now on I’ll go to the Gentiles.” (Acts18:6) Speaking of Apollos, for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly... (Acts18:28) On the day of Pentecost instead of telling the people how much God loves them, Peter preaches “Him, (Jesus) being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you’ve taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said, “Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you’ll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts2:23,36-38) John says we shouldn’t love in word but in deed. (1Jn3:18) Love should be without dissimulation. Many “believers” today claim they love God, or they love the brethren but their love is superficial. They hug their “brethren” on Sunday but have no interest in them during the week. They don’t love enough to reprove or rebuke to save a sinning brother from death. (Jms5:20) Their love is a sham. It’s all for show. Their love is a lie. Their father is the devil and he’s the father of lies. (Jn8:44) Jesus (and His apostles) didn’t tell everyone, “I just love you so much!” Jesus tells them to repent. He tells them how to get saved. He tells them what they need to believe to attain to eternal life. Find me a place where He acts like these people today who are always telling you they love you when they won’t even listen to what the Lord and the scriptures say is God’s way to love the brethren. By this we know we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. (1Jn5:2) The “love” of a disobedient believer is useless. Such “love” does no good. It has no faith in it because these superficial love people don’t have anything that comes from God. (Rom10:17) Often false believers harass, hinder, get in the way, step on a true brother’s foot, and then tell him they love him when it’s evident they don’t love anyone but themselves. If they truly loved people they’d be helping them get to Heaven. But because they “love” they won’t rebuke people for sins. (2Tim4:2) And concerning those of us who stand up for holiness in the church these “love” people accuse us of not loving or such things as, “You think you’re better than us.” Apostles like Paul don’t have to tell you they love you. Ø They show even more how they love you when they travel long distances, spending their own finances to get the gospel to you so you can be saved. They’ve DONE powerful acts of love when they’ve shared the Word of God with you. Ø They have PROVEN their love by enduring persecutions and even dangers in order to save you. And when you reject their love they don’t waste themselves trying to explain how much they love you. When you reject the love of God that works in them thru so many sufferings to try to save you, they know you’re damned by your own wickedness and there’s no sense wasting any further efforts on you. Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the Word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. (Act13:46) We’ve people to save and we’re going to apply God’s love in us to the ones who’ll receive it, where it can do them good and bring glory to God. We aren’t going to throw it away on people who waste it. And we aren’t going to receive anyone’s “love” who doesn’t keep the commandments of God, because their love isn’t God’s! Christians aren’t sinners! Christians are a people who’ve repented and turned away from sin. Christians are a people who have faith (Rom1:17) for God to sanctify them – to give them the very Spirit of Jesus Christ to live and dwell in them, (Eph3:17) giving them power to overcome sin in their lives (Rom6:18) and wisdom to overcome the tricks of the devil (1Cor1:24) to demonstrate in themselves God’s ability to make them into sons of God, (Jn1:12) to make them into saints – to make them into holy children – that as we trust in the Lord He’ll present us faultless at His appearing (Jude24) and if we trust in the Lord He’ll sanctify us body, soul and spirit (1Th5:23) – as we trust in the Lord He’ll conform us to His image. (2Cor3:18) And as we trust and ask and believe for Him to do these things His power will accomplish all He’s promised and said He’d do to make us partakers of the divine nature (2Pt1:4) and give us an abundant entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. (v11) Christians aren’t sinners. Sinners aren’t Christians. Christians used to be sinners but the power of God has transformed them and is transforming them into saints and perfecting them into the fullness of Christ. (Eph4:13) People who claim they’re Christians but also behave as sinners aren’t Christians. Therefore since the Baptist-type churches claim they’re still sinners and they can’t stop sinning we’ll believe they’re sinners and not believe they’re Christians. Because if they’re claiming to be Christians, they have to stop claiming to be sinners because the two are mutually exclusive. You’re either a Christian overcoming sin or you’re a sinner not a Christian. And we Christians can’t consider anyone who’s a sinner to be a brother. (1Cor5:11) Sinners aren’t our brothers. They’re born from a different father. Their father is the devil. (1Jn3:8) Therefore we reject outright all false forms of “christianity” which believe Christians are still sinners and that’s all they can be. We reject it, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Prophecy: The battle lines have been clearly drawn. On one side are those who think I’ve sent them but on the other side are those who know I’ve sent them, and there’s a great divide between them. Because many who think I’ve sent them are warring against those who know I’ve sent them. And I’m with those who know Me and know I’ve sent them but I’m not with those who presumptuously think they’re Mine. But I’m with you who know Me in Truth. And though they come to fight against you, My children, know that as in the days of old, I raise up those who know I’m with them and you who know you’re My children because you’re doing what’s right in My sight and you hear My voice and obey Me. So the fight you’re fighting is My war and I’m with you and I’ll win through you. But those who presumptuously think I’m with them will see in a horrifying clarity when the battle comes to a close that they didn’t know Me but they fought against those who do know Me and it will be to them a shock and a horror. But to you who fight for Me, know that no matter what, I’m with you and I’m showing you the path to victory, thus saith the Lord. Prophecy: People have tried to separate Me from My Word. But those who think they separate Me from My Word only separate themselves from Me, for to separate from My Word is to separate from Me. For I can’t be separated from My Word because I am the Word. And you can’t separate the Word from itself. So if you want to draw near to Me, draw near to My Word and regard My Word as it rightly is; it’s of Me and I’m in My Word. If you’ll keep My Word, My Word will keep you. And if you’ll submit to My Word, My Word will be a husband to you. My Word will watch over you and protect you, care for you and nurture you, heal you, and strengthen you, lead you and guide you. For My Word is alive; it’s powerful. I speak My Word and things are destroyed. I speak My Word and things are created. Don’t despise My Word but cherish it as you’d cherish Me. For indeed I regard your love for Me according to how you love My Word, saith the Lord. Prophecy: I’ve done a great work in teaching you to recognize the true from the false and the true brethren from the false brethren. There has been much work involved in this and I tell you I haven’t worked in vain. And I intend for you to use what I’ve given you to keep My church clean, to keep the wolves from ravishing My sheep. And there are many who’ll come to you and take what I’ve taught you to their congregations and churches. So you must stand for what I’ve taught you that others may be able to see and learn and recognize the difference between the true and the false themselves as they see a people moving in My Spirit in such a way as to test those who aren’t of Me and to approve those who are. And I’ll send them forth to do the same in their churches, that they can keep their churches pure and clean and undefiled that they may be part of My glorious bride. So I’m admonishing you to use what I’ve given you. Don’t bury this under a bushel but when the false prophet arises rebuke him and show him up for who he is that others may see and learn to recognize the difference between the true and the false. For this great work I’ve done in you must be done in many other churches. Those who I’m sending forth must know the difference between the true and the false, between the true Spirit of God and the spirit of antichrist who comes as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. So I’ve done a great work in you to teach you how to do this. And I’m expecting you, My people to work together with Me to teach others to do the same, thus says the Lord. (Prophecies delivered at “My Father’s House”) The Road To Emmaus! Prophecy: Your walls are high and your gates are narrow. And you might think as I build with you how shall the promise of the children’s return be fulfilled. For every time we build the gates become narrower, the walls become higher and who can enter such a place? But I tell you My people, the narrow gates and the high walls are an abomination to those who love their flesh, who cry out against you and say you’re unfair, harsh, cruel and exclusive. But I don’t want them in My house, saith the Lord. For they aren’t My children. They mock Me in their very act of worship. They refuse My ways, My Word, My holiness and cling to their own self-righteousness and I won’t have them in My house. And I tell you don’t fear the gate will be too narrow or the walls too high. For the children who belong to Me will count it a privilege to enter into My house. They’ll beg and plead that I’d give them the grace and the mercy to be acceptable in a church where My Spirit dwells, where My sons and daughters dwell, and where the gates are narrow and the walls are high; where nothing enters in that’s not from Me. And they’re going to consider it the highest blessing that they be counted worthy to enter such a place and they’ll beg you to let them come in that day, saith the Lord. Prophecy: Many think that because they’re a part of a large group that calls itself a church they’re part of an important work in My sight. But it’s written in My Word, better that you dwell with the humble than to divide the spoil with the proud. I don’t regard the size of the tree but I regard the quality of its fruit. And it would be better that you be part of a small church with good fruit than to be part of a large congregation who’s fruit I despise. And I tell you, I despise the fruit of these large congregations who pride themselves in their numbers but don’t know Me nor even each other, nor do they watch over one another in My Spirit. And I tell you these large trees because their fruit is bad will come down. And those who’ve been proud to be a part of the “large work” will be ashamed of the things they glory in. Whereas those who’ve known Me and who’ve brought forth good fruit in the place that I put them, though it seems to be a small place, there’ll be no shame to them. For it will be seen in the Day of Judgment what was of Me and what wasn’t. What was of man will come down. What was of Me will be glorified, as what is of Me brings forth fruit I delight in. For it’s not the size but the quality of the fruit that counts with Me, saith the Lord. (Prophecies delivered at “My Father’s House”) And Jesus said to them “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” (Lk24:17) Can you recognize when Christ is entering into your conversation? Recently I was visiting one of the brethren where we were having a conversation in the kitchen while our children were in the living room, talking rather noisily. Suddenly one of the young men from our church went into the living room and spoke to the children, “Hey!” he said, “When you have a conversation you are to one speak and the others listen. Right? Now you’re all just talking without being heard!” And when that came out of the young man, I realized this is Christ. He’s getting a godly point across. After that the children’s conversation changed and now they were each one speaking and the others listening. Things entered into a place of godly order. So again one thing this scripture may instruct us on is when we’re involved in a conversation can we recognize when Christ is entering into what we’re talking about? And that’s one point, but then the two men tell Jesus what’s going on; Christ’s Body is gone and they don’t know where it is etc. “We were hoping this was He who was to redeem Israel. And then the women arrived at the tomb and astonished us because they said He’s not there.” But Jesus answered, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” (Lk24:25,26) Jesus has just risen from the grave. He stripped the keys of Hell and Death from satan and now He’s come to these men who don’t recognize Him for their eyes were restrained. Jesus has risen from the grave, very powerful things have come to pass and He appears to these men who are sad because of His crucifixion etc. and He says, “Oh, I love you! Don’t you know how much I love you?” He’s risen from the grave and He appears to these men who can’t understand why all this has happened and says, “You know God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, to give you everlasting life!” He doesn’t say that. He rises from the grave and the first thing He tells them is, “O foolish ones and slow of heart to believe!” He rebukes them. He doesn’t say “I love you.” He doesn’t say, “Go tell everyone how much I love them.” He rebukes them because they’re slow to believe the scriptures. Mark says, “After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. And they went and told it to the rest, but they didn’t believe them either.” (Mk16:12,13) So later Jesus appears to the eleven as they sat at the table; and he says, “I love you, don’t you see how much I love you!” NO, it says He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn’t believe those who’d seen Him after He’d risen. (v14) So not only does He rebuke these two men on the Emmaus road because they’re slow to believe but when they tell the others what they’ve seen and the Apostles also don’t believe Jesus rebukes them also. He doesn’t speak the things commonly repeated among “believers” today. He doesn’t say, “You poor things, I understand what you’re going through.” He rebukes their unbelief and calls them fools. So it’s obvious the “churches” today don’t know this Jesus; the real Jesus. They’ve made up another Jesus. The real Jesus isn’t saying, “I love you.” He’s rebuking them. The true Jesus has just risen from the grave but He’s not coming in the way the worldly church today would think, proclaiming His love! He’s coming to rebuke! When He sees doubt, He rebukes it. He doesn’t say, “I love you.” He tells them they’re in unbelief, they’re foolish, slow of heart, hard hearted! And if you don’t know the Jesus who rebukes His people, you don’t know the real Jesus. (Heb12:6) Beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all Scriptures the things concerning Himself. (Lk24:27) While He’s sharing the Word with them they say, “Abide with us,” so He goes to their house and breaks bread with them and that’s when their eyes were opened and they knew Him. (v31) Then they said, Didn’t our hearts burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us? (v32) The Word’s being written in their hearts! (2Cor3:3) When the Lord writes the Word in us, you can feel it burning, and know it’s doing something inside to change you. They aren’t seeing that it’s Christ with them but they’re seeing Christ in the scriptures as Jesus is opening the Word. Most churches today don’t understand how important the Word is to Jesus and how important it must be to us if we’re to be saved. But when the two men say, “Abide with us,” it’s the beginning of where their eyes can be opened. When one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. (2Cor3:16) When the Word is being brought to you, showing you the Christ of the Word and you say, “Abide in me.” that’s when your eyes can be opened to see the present Christ. On the road to Emmaus these men see Christ of the scriptures. They see Him as the Word is being spoken to them. It does a work in their heart, it’s burning in their heart until they ask “Abide with us” to the One who showed them that Christ. And when you come to the place where you say “Abide with me,” to the one who brings you the living Word that’s when your eyes can be opened to see it’s been Christ all along, the living present Christ showing you the scriptural Christ. That’s when you can be taught to know Jesus by the Spirit and know Him intimately. Their eyes were opened when He broke bread, and it’s the breaking of the bread of the Word that causes us to see Christ in the Spirit, because that’s how we have to know Him, by the Spirit. From now on we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we’ve known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. (2Cor5:16) There are a lot of people talking about Jesus, saying He’s love; saying He’s this and that. Yet Christ can come to them and they don’t recognize Him because He’s not coming in the way they think they know Him. He comes in another form. (Mk16:12) He comes by the Spirit. And our eyes are only opened to know Him in the Spirit by the Word when the Word is rightly expounded. It’s when you say “Abide with me, live in me. Let Your Word do God’s work in me” that your eyes can be opened to see it’s the Spirit of the present Christ who’s been revealing to you the Truth about Himself in God’s Word, even though He appears in another form because the Christ of the Word and the Christ who’s present with us are the same. (Heb13:8) And if you don’t see Him rightly in the Word you won’t know Him when He’s present with you. You must rightly recognize the Christ of the scripture before you can fellowship with the Christ who’s present now! And how many so-called “believers” would even crucify Christ or reject Him and the ones He sends when He comes today in another form? They’ll put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think he offers God service. And these things they’ll do to you because they haven’t known the Father nor Me. (Jn16:2,3) And they don’t recognize Him or receive His words or His true brethren because they don’t know Him by His Word. (Lk10:16;Act13:27) The foolish Pharisees thought they wouldn’t have been participators in the blood of the prophets killed by their fathers because they were smarter than their fathers and would have recognized the prophets. But the only reason the Pharisees could recognize the prophets of the past is the scriptures identify them as prophets, which means someone Spiritual recognized the prophets before they were in the bible and by the Spirit of God included them in the scripture as they were being compiled. So the Pharisees have the benefit of the scriptures and the wisdom of these Godly men who preceded them to identify who the prophets were but their fathers didn’t. Now God says I’m going to show you how wicked you are. I’ll send you righteous men you don’t have the benefit of the scriptures to identify as being of Me. And if you were truly of Me you’d recognize them by My Spirit, but instead you’ll kill them, persecute them and treat them just like your fathers treated the prophets before, so you’ll fill up the judgment against you and I’ll judge you as you deserve to be judged. (Mt23:34,35) This relates very strongly to, “We know no man after the flesh, not even Christ.” (2Cor5:16) As often Jesus’ resurrection, in almost all His appearances, He appeared in another form. He didn’t look like the one they’d recognize by face because it wasn’t by face we’re to recognize Him anymore. It’s a new age. He’s the resurrected Jesus and we’re to know Him by the Spirit. So if you don’t know Him by the Spirit, you have no part in the New Covenant because this New Covenant is a Spiritual covenant. And the New Covenant believers of today have never seen His face. (1Pt1:8) So there’s no other way to know Christ today than by the Spirit. On the road to Emmaus Jesus meets with two men who don’t understand the purposes God had for Him which were related in the scriptures by the prophets. They’re somewhat like Peter when Peter rebukes Jesus for saying He’s going to be crucified. (Mt16:22) They can’t see God’s will; they’re so wrapped up in their own will. “We were hoping it was He who was going to redeem Israel!” (Lk24:21) But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You’re an offense to Me, for you aren’t mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” (Mt16:23) They’re sad because things aren’t working out the way they hoped; that Christ would save Israel from the Romans etc. They don’t see God’s greater purposes. Then Jesus explains God’s true purposes for Himself from the scriptures and their hearts burn within them. What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? It’s the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. (Jn6:62,63) If Jesus had revealed Himself as the Christ right then, they may have been so excited that He wouldn’t have been able to teach them about Himself from the scriptures. In their excitement over His resurrection they’d want to ask about present things, other things. When they’d come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” (Act1:6) What profit is it to you to see a miracle if you don’t get the Word of God into your heart. Over five hundred people saw Jesus ascend into Heaven, (1Cor15:6) but there were only a hundred and twenty in the upper room. (Act1:15) What good did the ascension do the other three hundred and eighty? Seeing a miracle isn’t what saves you. “If they don’t hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.” (Lk16:31) Having the Word of God written in your heart saves you. Seeing a miracle, even seeing the resurrected Christ isn’t going to do for these men what needs to be done. They need the Word of God to be opened to them. Therefore Jesus doesn’t even let them be distracted by His presence because His Word is more important than His face! To see His face won’t change them but to hear His Word will change them. Without consciously realizing they’re in the presence of Christ, they eat of His living Word. It’s life to them. They take it into their hearts. It feeds them so much that without consciously knowing this is Christ they just want to take Him home and keep Him. And you know they’re born from above if they have that reaction. It’s when they do that, He opens their eyes so they see it’s been Jesus all along. A lot of us are going to find out when we get to heaven it’s been Jesus all along. But if it were visibly Jesus would we be so astounded by His presence we wouldn’t pay proper attention to what He’s saying? I saw a propaganda movie about the Buddhist religion. In the movie when Buddha walks every place his foot steps a lotus blossom pops up. That’s how you can tell he’s god! Do you know why Buddha isn’t God? Because Buddha is a show off and it doesn’t do any good to see lotus blossoms popping up where God walks because that does nothing to make you holy or righteous. The righteousness of our Lord is He won’t even let us know it’s Him if it gets in the way of our hearing the words of His righteousness because what matters is that we be made righteous by His Word not that we recognize Him in the flesh. There’s no god like our God. All the other gods are show offs and frauds and their followers have no understanding of the importance of the righteousness that comes only by hearing God’s Word, and having God write His Word on your heart. God sees so clearly the need for Christ to be formed in us through His Word that He’ll even hold our eyes from seeing His face if it helps to get His Word into us. Which is the reason why He sends people like me to speak for Him so you’re not distracted by my elegance or how wonderful a person I am. You close your eyes and listen because what God needs to get into you is His Word. Your eyes will be opened one day and you’ll see He was here all along, but we were restrained so we wouldn’t get excited about His presence in the flesh and miss what He was doing in the Spirit. To be saved you must be born again. (Jn3:3) To be born again you must believe the living Word of God. Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever. (1Pt1:23) So it’s not seeing the resurrected Christ that saves you but hearing and believing His living Word. That’s the way He comes to us, in His Word, often in the form of men of God sent by Christ with His Word, men who may not seem to look like Christ but who have Christ living in them and can share Him with you through His Word which lives in them. And that’s why you must know Him by the Spirit. “It’s the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I speak to you are Spirit, and they’re life.” (Jn6:63) You’ll know Him that way or you won’t be saved! Prophecy: I’m a mighty God. And the mind of man, the agency of man is too shallow to do anything apart from Me which will glorify Me. I’m a deep ocean. And too many today are trying to connect with Me, to open up pathways to Me in their own righteousness as if they’ll bless Me and glorify Me on their own. But thus says the Lord, if it’s not coming from My ocean, if it’s not flowing from My Spirit it’s not of Me, and it’s cesspools and man-made lagoons of death, men trying to do things for Me out of their own minds, out of their flesh, things which I haven’t asked of them. It’ll all wash away. I’ll wash it away by My Spirit, by My living waters and by My Word. For who is man to try to do something for Me? But I tell you that when you connect with My Spirit you’ll be like rivers of life. And there’ll be a free flowing grace, a free flowing righteousness from Me, and you’ll water all you meet and all you touch. And you’ll water others because you’ve been watered by Me for I’m a Living fountain, where living waters are exploding from My Spirit. And that’s how I make waters flow from a rock because there was an explosion from the supernatural to the natural, saith the Lord. And all of these people who are trying to conjure up some sort of righteousness of their own will be washed away by My Spirit and the righteousness which accords with Me. Because who established righteousness? Not man but Me, saith the Lord. And when you put on the new man and when you walk in My Spirit you’re as righteous as I’m righteous and you’re as holy as I’m holy. And you flow and bear fruit and bring life because My river brings life; not as the stagnant cesspools of death of the lagoons made by man. And My people, I’m causing My rivers to flow. I’m causing a mighty current, a mighty flood. By you, I’ll pour out My Spirit on the nations and on the peoples to begin a new work, a true work of God, saith the Lord.
