When The Towers Fall!/Tuesday Christians!

By Pastor Bill Taylor

A publication of My Father's House, inc. Volume 6//Issue 12

There’ll be on every high mountain and every high hill rivers and streams of water in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. (Is30:25) There’s been a great slaughter. As of 9/11 the towers have fallen. But if God’s people will repent and learn God’s lesson in this, God will pour out rivers of mercy. (Pr1:23) Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for He’s aroused from His holy habitation! (Zech2:13) “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that I’ll punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised -- Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, and all who are in the farthest corners… For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.” (Jer9:25,26) As a believer if your behavior is the same as an unbeliever’s God will punish you with the unbelievers. (See Rom2:25-29)

They’ve lied about the LORD, and said, “It’s not He. Neither will evil come upon us, nor shall we see sword or famine.” (Jer5:12) God says His people have made lies their refuge and hidden themselves under falsehood. (Is28:15) But He’s sweeping away the refuge of lies. (vs17) The terrible events of 9/11 are one way God’s sweeping away the lies. When Abraham intercedes on behalf of Lot he asks God, “Would You destroy the righteous with the wicked?” (Gen18:23) “Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Gen18:25) Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Heb13:8) God is always the same. If He wouldn’t slay the righteous with the wicked then, He won’t do it now. But speaking of a disobedient people who claim to be His God says, “They’ll die gruesome deaths. (Jer16:4) There’ll be a difference between the deaths of the righteous and the wicked, who’ll “die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of aliens” says the Lord. (Ezek28:10) This happened in NYC. Many Americans died gruesome deaths at the hands of aliens. But when Jesus speaks of Peter’s decease: this He spoke, signifying by what death he’d glorify God. (Jn21:19) The death of the righteous will be to the glory of God. Not what happened at the towers, a death that makes you think, “Where’s their God?” The righteous perishes, and no man takes it to heart; merciful men are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil. He’ll enter into peace; they’ll rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness. (Is57:1,2) The death of the righteous is a peaceable death, not a sudden, unexpected, and terrifying death. The scriptures admonish us to watch and pray because when judgment comes it comes suddenly! If you don’t watch and pray your destruction will be a quick and horrifying surprise. As with the towers, there’ll be no chance to prepare and no escape. Those who don’t watch and pray are always taken by surprise. There’s no possibility of escape because it happens so quickly. Inescapable surprise is characteristic of the judgments of God. But true Christians aren’t in darkness that this day should come upon them unawares. (1Th5:4)

The true sons of God are children of the day and they see what’s coming (Pr22:3) but false “christians” and sinners are often caught unawares. There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. Here “believers” have been killed in the very act of worship. So Jesus warns those who think they’re children of Abraham: “Do you suppose these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you’ll all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you’ll all likewise perish.” (Lk13:1-5) Jesus isn’t wringing His hands over these disasters. He looks upon them as portents; warnings. Jesus says such things will happen to everyone who doesn’t repent. There’s coming a shaking that will affect everything on the face of the earth. (Heb12:26,27) God isn’t going to pulverize just a few blocks in New York City, but the bible foretells a destruction that will utterly consume all men. (Zeph1:2,3) So what we’ve seen in 9/11 is a microcosm of that dreadful end in which none will escape who haven’t repented. NYC’s disaster is a foretaste of what’s going to happen over the whole world.

When Jesus was being crucified, women were weeping. But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for Me, but for yourselves and your children. For indeed the days are coming in which they’ll say, ‘Blessed are the barren wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ Then they’ll begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?” (Lk23:28-31) If they can do such things when God’s Spirit is still here, what will they do when His grace has left? What will they do when they’re a dry branch being cut off and about to be burned? If anyone doesn’t abide in Me, he’s cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they’re burned. When its boughs are withered, they’ll be broken off; The women come and set them on fire. For it’s a people of no understanding; Therefore He who made them won’t have mercy on them, And He who formed them will show them no favor. (Jn15:6;Is27:11) Jesus isn’t feeling sorry for Himself, nor is He weeping for the victims in Siloam, but He’s warning us that the present tragedies will seem small in comparison to what’s coming. Within 35 years, Jerusalem was destroyed and over a million Jews had died. Likewise God is warning us, you can’t think these people who died in New York City are worse sinners than the rest of the nation but they’re a portent of what will happen to everyone who doesn’t repent and obey God now. Look what happened next with Katrina.

Until recently America has been spared from many of the great tragedies and cataclysms of nature that commonly occur in Africa, Asia and the orient, where a typhoon, earthquake, or tidal wave may kill tens of thousands of people. But we know these places are wicked, idolatrous countries full of superstition and darkness and God treats them accordingly. In N. America it’s been rare for a disaster to kill over a few hundred. If we suddenly see a tragedy with fatalities in the thousands then some type of covering must have been removed from us that we’re now beginning to suffer what non-christian nations who don’t have the protection of God have been suffering. If America is behaving like a pagan nation these days, it’s not surprising God is starting to treat us like heathens.

In a tragedy where a relatively small number of people are killed it’s easy to overlook the fact that amongst the victims there may be some professing “christians” who were even regular church goers, who died the death of the uncircumcised. That God doesn’t make a difference between the righteous and the unrighteous in small tragedies may not occur to us. But when we see what happened to so many in the towers of New York it’s not right to think the people who died there including many rescue workers are more wicked than those in other sections of the country. They’re surely less wicked than many on 42nd Street where the pornography industry flourishes. So you might wonder why God would destroy middle class Americans and professional people while leaving pimps, prostitutes and pornographers unharmed. One answer Jesus gave was when He commented how the harlots and the tax collectors came to God through John the Baptist while the “professional” Pharisees wouldn’t come. (Lk7:29,30) Often it’s easier to save a blatant sinner than a self righteous Baptist or a highly educated professional who thinks he knows everything, or even someone who goes to church regularly and considers himself superior to the people who don’t, and yet doesn’t produce the fruits of a Spirit led Christianity. (Rom8:14)

In N. America, true prophets of Christ have been warning of God’s impending judgment for years. (see pages 10 & 11 of “The Unsearchable Riches of Christ” published six months before the Trade Towers tragedy.) But most “christianity” in the U.S. has become so corrupted that it’s not producing godly fruit. And when people don’t listen to the warnings God sends their destruction will come suddenly. He who’s often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. (Pr29:1) Therefore this iniquity shall be to you like a breach ready to fall, a bulge in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. (Is30:13) That’s exactly what happened at the Towers. And the Master of that servant will come on a day when he’s not looking for him, and at an hour when he’s not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. (Lk12:46) Jesus is speaking of a “believer” who thinks the Master is delaying his coming and so acts unchristlike towards his fellow servants. He’s not an “unbeliever” but he’s not behaving as a believer should. So because he behaves as an unbeliever he’ll be treated by God as an unbeliever.

A problem in many contemporary “churches” is they’ve come to think behavior has nothing to do with salvation. They think they’re “saved” by believing Jesus is the Son of God apart from behaving as Jesus tells us to behave, and they interpret behavior as dead works when actually Christ-like behavior is the evidence of a living (true) faith! (Jms2:26) The Trade Towers tragedy shows definitively that God doesn’t consider a Christianity that behaves no differently than unbelievers to be different from the unbelievers, and God won’t treat such “christians” better than unbelievers. Of course, God won’t destroy the righteous with the unrighteous. But among the dead in NYC there were church goers who died the death of the uncircumcised together with the unbelievers around them. And the reason they’re being treated by God as though they’re unbelievers is because their kind of “christianity” doesn’t produce the fruit or the behavior God expects of true Christians. An unbeliever gets up in the morning and “God is in none of his thoughts.” (Ps10:4) His day is arranged by necessity, plans and considerations he’s formed without consulting God. Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we’ll go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit;” whereas you don’t know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It’s even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we’ll live and do this or that.” (Jms4:13-15) The Spirit-led believer gets up in the morning and seeks the Lord to arrange the activities and priorities of his day in a way that glorifies God and is consistent with the purposes of Christ. If God were to tell the unbeliever or unspiritual believer to stay home today he’d reply, “What and lose my job?” But the plans of true believers are easily altered if the Spirit leads a different way.

When they’d gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the Word in Asia. (Act16:6) Because he’s led by the Spirit there’s no condemnation (Rom8:1) to the true believer. (Condemnation can mean “death” and destruction.) He’s “saved” by hearing and obeying the Spirit. But if your “christianity” doesn’t produce the righteous fruit of true Christian behavior, if you aren’t listening to the Spirit and being led by Him, even though you claim to believe in God, what makes you any better than an unbeliever? (Mt5:46,47) If you behave like a heathen God won’t treat you better than people who behave the same as you but don’t profess to believe in Jesus. It’s a fatal error in the minds of many so called “christians” that they’ve fallen into a heretical belief where we aren’t saved by works means as long as we profess a belief in Jesus it doesn’t matter how we behave. Jesus says, “My sheep know My voice.” (Jn10:27) No one expects an unbeliever to hear and obey God but when a so called “christian” doesn’t hear or obey God, he proves himself not to be one of Jesus’ sheep, and he makes himself no different in behavior than the unbeliever. In reality the bible teaches we’re saved because we have such a faith in Jesus as changes our behavior so we obey God. We hear His Words and follow Jesus, and that makes us His sheep. Walking in His Spirit produces the fruits of righteousness in us. (Gal 5:25;Heb12:11) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Rom8:14)

A term commonly misunderstood in many “churches” today is “imputed righteousness” which teaches false “christians” to believe they’re not righteous because of what they do but because of what they believe. “Because I believe in Jesus, I’m considered righteous by God even though I don’t behave righteously.” The bible proves that kind of “imputed righteousness” is a lie. Whoever abides in Him doesn’t sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. (1Jn3:6,7) Jesus is the true believer’s righteousness, but He’s my righteousness because I let Him do (1Cor1:30) His righteousness thru me. I don’t do my own righteousness but I have faith for Him to live His righteous life in me, which produces a behavior consistent with Christ’s life. (Gal 2:20) Even though His righteousness is “grace” because it’s freely given to me it’s not merely a token righteousness. It’s a true righteousness that evidences in my behavior, the behavior of Christ Himself in me. (2Cor5:15,17;Col 1:27) So much of the contemporary “church” has made lies their refuge and covenanted with death. (Is28:15) They think judgment (death) won’t come on them because they’re imputed to be righteous, and they’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus because they believe in Jesus, even though they don’t behave as Christ does! He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (1Jn2:6) But they don’t have faith for Jesus to live and produce His righteous life in them so their behavior is actually no different from the unbeliever’s except in the token actions of going to church etc.

As far as God is concerned if “believers” don’t act differently than unbelievers, they don’t get treated differently than unbelievers. (Mt24:51) Righteousness, even if it’s imputed, won’t be rewarded until it becomes visible, active deeds of righteousness in which your behavior is Christ-like because “God rewards according to your works.” He rewards according to works from the Old Testament right on to the book of Revelations. (Job34:11;Ps28:4;62:12;Pr24:12;Mt16:27;Rom2:6;2Tim4:14;Rev2:23,22:12) Since God rewards according to your works, your works have to become the kind He’ll reward or you won’t be saved. What delivers me from dead works and into Christ’s living works is my faith in Jesus to work thru me. (Phil 2:13;Eph2:10) It’s not just my confession that I believe Jesus to be the Son of God, but my faith that He lives in me and is also making me a son of God. (Rom8:14-16) That kind of Christianity that actually attains to Jesus living in the believers, Gal 2:20 Christianity is about as rare as a genuine ruby today. The kind of “christianity” that says I’m saved because I believe in Jesus but doesn’t manifest the life of Christ in you is as common as dirt. God has shown what many have been calling their “imputed righteousness” isn’t acceptable to Him by what was just done in NYC. You turn man to destruction, and say, “Return, O children of men.” (Ps90:3)When God chastens He’s calling people to return. For we’ve been consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we’re terrified. (vs7) Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath. (vs11) The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; you who say in your heart, “Who’ll bring me down to the ground?” “Though you ascend as high as the eagle, and though you set your nest among the stars, from there I’ll bring you down,” says the LORD. (Obd1:3,4)

But God’s Word offers great assurances to those who are truly His. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (“shadow” means protection.) I’ll say of the LORD, “He’s my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I’ll trust.” Surely He’ll deliver you (if you’re dwelling in His secret place) from the snare of the fowler and the perilous pestilence. (Ps91:1-3) Where is that secret place? Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3:2,3) The secret place is the life hidden in God where the world can’t see it. Are you living in that secret place? Are you living where Christ is, above the world, where God’s interests and His purposes are in your heart? (Eph2:4-6;Col 3:1,2) For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. (Rom8:5) It’s the one who lives according to the Spirit who abides under the protection of the Almighty.

Is God’s Word true or not? Is there really protection in God for the righteous? Then how can there be so many “church” people dead in 9/11? And how many of them thought Psalm 91 was their protection? But it’s evident since they died the death of the uncircumcised they weren’t abiding under the protection of the Almighty. They died like unbelievers. What such people were actually abiding in is a man-made philosophy of salvation that doesn’t produce the Christianity where your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3:3) Such “christians” don’t abide in Christ and it’s a lie to say they do. (1Jn2:4,6) Yet they think they’re safe. And that’s the common “christianity” today and it doesn’t save. God says the one who abides in Christ will be delivered from the snare of the fowler. These terrorists are fowlers who set a snare. It isn’t that true Christians won’t die but if the Lord tarries, real Spirit-led believers won’t die gruesome deaths. We won’t be taken suddenly and terrifyingly. We aren’t children of darkness. When we die it will be for the glory of God. (Phil 1:20) Those who live for God’s glory, will die for His glory.

He’ll cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you’ll take refuge; His Truth shall be your shield and buckler. You’ll not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, or of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. What just happened? A destruction in broad daylight! A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it won’t come near you. Only with your eyes shall you see the reward of the wicked. (Ps91:5-8) Those who receive the reward of the wicked include the hypocrite; a “christian” who behaves no differently than an unbeliever; who claims to believe when his life doesn’t demonstrate God’s righteousness. Because you’ve made the LORD, who’s my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place… Have you actually made the Lord your dwelling place? Do you truly live in His Spirit, being led by His Spirit? (Gal 5:25) If not this Psalm isn’t speaking of you. No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He’ll give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they’ll bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You’ll tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you’ll trample underfoot. Because he’s set his love on Me, therefore I’ll deliver him; I’ll set him on high, because he’s known My name. He’ll call upon Me, and I’ll answer him. (Ps91:9-15) Jesus says “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you’ll ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (Jn15:7) I’ll be with him in trouble; I’ll deliver him and honor him. With long life I’ll satisfy him, and show him My salvation. (Ps91:15,16)

If your “imputed righteousness” doesn’t manifest in righteous behavior, you don’t qualify for “if there were 10 righteous people in Sodom, God would have spared it!” (Gen18:32) God said of Jerusalem, “search the city and if you find one – just one righteous man, I’ll spare it. (Jer5:1) The Towers wouldn’t have come down if God had found 10 or even one truly righteous man there. You can be sure if there were any Spiritual believers employed at the Towers, they didn’t go to work the morning of 9/11 because God won’t destroy the righteous with the wicked. But here’s the tragedy, there were church goers; Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, even Pentecostals who perished because their “christianity” didn’t produce a life that’s truly lived in Christ. It didn’t produce true Christian behavior. It didn’t produce a real Spiritual relationship with God.

Those of us who’ve been praying knew God was going to bring a shaking. I’ve known it for months. The bible indicates God often uses violence to get the attention of a stiff-necked and rebellious people. I’ll make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plummet; hail will sweep away your refuge of lies, and waters will overflow your hiding place. Your covenant with death will be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol won’t stand; when the overflowing scourge passes through, you’ll be trampled down by it. (Is28:17,18) He’s destroying the “imputed righteousness” lies false “christians” have hid behind thinking He won’t destroy us with the wicked because we “believe.” Now everyone can see it’s a lie. Those who think they’re righteous because they merely profess to believe in Christ when their behavior isn’t Christ-like, are being destroyed with the wicked because God rewards according to your works not according to what you claim to believe. If you know He’s righteous, you know everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him. (1Jn2:29) It’s not according to what you say but what you do! If your “salvation” isn’t producing good works, you’ll get no reward from God.

Whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows his own burden and his own grief, and spreads out his hands to this temple: then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men.) (2Chr6:29,30) Solomon doesn’t presume to tell God to forgive unconditionally. He says, “Give them according to their ways.” Where repentance is sincere and men are changing what they’re doing from bad to good, God will give them grace. But God knows what’s going on in the hearts, and He’s not obligated to give anything more than what you deserve according to your behavior. Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God to do wickedness, and from the Almighty to commit iniquity. For He repays man according to his work, and makes man to find a reward according to his way. (Job34:10,11) Don’t take me away with the wicked and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbors, but evil is in their hearts. Give to them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; give them according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve. Because they don’t regard the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands, He’ll destroy them and not build them up. (Ps28:3-5) Righteous men can pray, Don’t take me away with the wicked.” If God is taking people away with the wicked who claim to believe in Jesus then these people aren’t considered by God to be righteous. Jesus said the victims of the Towers that fell in Siloam were no more wicked than the rest of Israel. (Lk13:4) “Unless you repent you’ll all likewise perish!” (vs5) So the rest of Israel isn’t righteous either, and today’s “church” isn’t righteous if all they have is an “imputed” righteousness that doesn’t affect their behavior.

God’s spoken once, twice I’ve heard this: that power belongs to God. Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy; for You render to each one according to his work. (Ps62:11,12) Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Surely we didn’t know this,” doesn’t He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds? (Pr24:11,12) Most “christians” don’t pray fervently until it’s too late. The book of Lamentations is like that; praying after the tragedy when the refuge of lies has been destroyed. (Is28:17) God had to bring the Jews to such a terrible destruction there was nothing left but a remnant. At that point they couldn’t hold to their delusions any longer. There was no more hope. At first they thought God was going to save them from the Chaldeans – that He was just testing their faith but would give them victory in the end. But finally they accepted the Truth that they’d sinned against God and were being punished. So convinced were they of their righteousness that God wouldn’t destroy them because they were “sons of Abraham,” that God had to devastate them till they could finally see there was nothing left to rescue. Only then did they realize God wasn’t protecting them in their sins just because they were Jews. “We’ve sinned against Him, and He’s destroyed us.”

Who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord hasn’t commanded it? Isn’t it from the mouth of the Most High that woe and well-being proceed? (Lam3:37,38) We know it’s Muslim terrorists behind 9/11. We know they’re ungodly. But still it wouldn’t have happened if the Lord didn’t permit it. Jeremiah says, “Why should a living man complain, for the punishment of his sins?” (vs39) Learn the lessons God teaches. We know there’ll be reprisals on the terrorists. I prophesied long before 9/11 there’d soon be a shaking in the Muslim world. But God is also trying to teach the presumptuous “churches” in America a lesson and it isn’t just the fact that they don’t pray much before things happen, which they don’t, but it’s a sad truth that God thinks they’re fit for nothing better than to perish with the uncircumcised. In this and every disaster there’ll be a number of “christians” equal to any cross section in the country. There’ll be a typical number of Catholics, a typical number of Pentecostals, a typical number of Baptists. God doesn’t count these so called believers as righteous if they die the same way as the wicked, because the bible says He won’t allow that to happen to the truly righteous. The truth is if God’s allowing such things to happen to this people, He doesn’t consider them His people (Hos1:9) and they’d better find out why! One reason is because their behavior isn’t what He requires in His people. For example, the true children of God walk in the Spirit. (Rom8:14) They don’t live like the world or lust for things of the world. They’ve responded to the call to come out of Babylon and be separate. (2Cor6:17) Babylon’s sins have reached to Heaven and if you don’t come out you’ll be destroyed in her plagues (Rev18:4,5) which is exactly what happened. The 9/11 “christians” lived in Babylon. They lived like Babylonians so they were destroyed like Babylonians. Any “christians” who don’t heed the warning to come out of Babylon will die with Babylon.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (Mt16:26) To be saved you must stop trying to make a profit of the world and instead be concerned with the state of your soul. But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you’re treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, “who’ll render to each one according to his deeds(not according to what you claim to believe but according to what you actually do.) :eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; (Jesus has given us the means to do good thru His Spirit, so we may attain to immortality. Thru our faith in Him He can do good thru us. We can bring forth fruit with patience if we keep God’s Word in a noble and good heart – Lk8:15) but to those who are self-seeking and don’t obey the Truth, but obey unrighteousness – indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, (no matter what he says he believes) of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what’s good. (Rom2:5-10) The Spirit of Christ works in true believers to will and to do of God’s good pleasure. (Phil 2:13) If you’re truly saved Jesus will bring good works out of your life. The ax is laid to the root of the unfruitful tree. Jesus makes those He saves fruitful.

Evidently God saw nothing fruitful in the Trade Towers. But as Jesus taught (in Luke 13) it’s not just the people who died at Siloam (or NYC) but all unspiritual people are unfruitful, and will likewise perish. Jesus said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.” (Jn7:6) Unfruitful “christians” will die with the unfruitful unbelievers. Unfruitfulness is what kills you. Unfruitfulness causes the branch to be cut off. (Jn15:2,6) So you can’t separate fruitfulness from salvation. You can’t be saved by your own works but you’d better get into the works of Christ and continue in those works if you don’t want to be cut off. This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who’ve believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. (Tit3:8) Much of so called “christianity” in the world today is worthless because it’s workless. Too many fools are preaching “grace” without works in such a way as won’t even allow for God’s works and that makes such “grace” a false and worthless “grace.” This tragedy in NYC has been a revelation of what God thinks of any kind of “grace” that doesn’t produce good works! A true faith in Christ produces the works of Christ. Most assuredly, I say to you, “he who believes in Me, the works I do he’ll do also; and greater works than these he’ll do, because I go to My Father.” (Jn14:12)

He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his own reward according to his own (work) labor. (1Cor 3:8) Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. The Lord repay him according to his works. (2Tim4:14) Speaking of the Jezebel at Thyatira, “I’ll kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know I’m He who searches the minds and hearts. And I’ll give to each of you according to your works.” (Rev2:23) Christ searches the minds and the hearts, and rewards according to your works. So there must be a relationship between what’s in the minds or the hearts and the works. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good (works) things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth (bad works) evil things. (Mt12:35) When people who claim to believe in Christ aren’t bringing forth good works there must be no good treasure in their hearts. If their works are no different than the unbeliever’s there couldn’t be anything in their hearts different from the unbelievers. What little difference there may be in their heads doesn’t make a difference in their hearts, because it’s out of the heart the works proceed. (Pr4:23) Behold, I’m coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. (Rev22:12) God doesn’t treat you righteous when your works aren’t righteous. God believes only in Christians who behave like Jesus. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. (1Jn4:17) Anyone who claims to abide in Christ should walk as He walks. (2:6)

Wherever there’s a question about what kind of Christianity is the right kind, God always settles the argument. He shows us the kind He believes in! There’s therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Rom8:1) No condemnation means no judgment or “death.” For if you live according to the flesh you’ll die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you’ll live. (Rom8:13) “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “that I’ll punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised – Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, and all who are in the farthest corners, who dwell in the wilderness. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart.” (Jer9:25,26) For he’s not a Jew (or Christian) who’s one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he’s a Jew who’s one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. (Rom2:28,29)

Prophecy: I indeed reign. I have My way in the storm and the cataclysm. Nothing happens apart from Me. I know My people and I work all things together for good on behalf of those who love Me and are called according to My purposes. Now I’m showing the difference between that which is of Me and that which isn’t and those who are Mine and those who aren’t, including those who presumptuously profess to be Mine when they aren’t. I’m making known the difference so all who want to be Mine can see how to be Mine. I’m calling forth the people who are Mine and I’m making them a glory unto Me. I’m making them a sign and even a wonder so all who want to know Me can find the way and see the way and know the way because of those who are Mine who’ll show them the way. Thus I’ll be glorified in the earth and My church will be glorious for I’ll have My way. And woe unto him who rejects the way I’ve chosen, saith the Lord.

Prophecy: I’m a holy, a just and a righteous God but there’s a people who falsely claim to be Mine who say I don’t judge and they say I love yet they don’t understand My love. For in My love is righteousness – in My love is justice. I rule and reign righteously. There’s no unrighteousness found in Me. Yet I desire to have mercy. And in My mercy I’ve not utterly consumed – in My mercy I’ve not utterly destroyed – in My mercy I’m reaching out My hand still to this rebellious people who claim to be Mine and I’m saying, “Turn to Me, with all your hearts, turn and see that I’m a God who’s showing forth mercy in the fact that I haven’t utterly consumed you. Turn to Me, and to My righteousness, turn to My justice, turn to all that I am. You can’t pick and choose the parts of Me you want for you have to accept all of Me – all of My holiness – all of My justice and all of My love. You must receive Me in all that I am for I’ll not diminish Myself in any way for you. I’m God the Creator of all. And because I’m the great and the awesome God the clay won’t mold Me. Turn to Me and I’ll conform you into the image of My Son. Turn to Me and I’ll show you mercy and make you a people who bring forth fruits acceptable to My Kingdom because My Kingdom won’t be diminished just as I won’t be diminished. So turn to Me and I’ll change you and make you fit to enter into all My glory. For My glory is something you need to be fitted for, saith the Lord. (Prophecies delivered at “My Father’s House”)

Tuesday Christians!

Your faithfulness is like a morning cloud, and like the early dew it goes away. (Hos6:4) After the terrible events of Tuesday (Sept 11,2001) one thing true Christians should be aware of is the Christians God’s listening to are the ones who were praying on Monday. The vast majority of so called “christians” in this country, being surprised by the events of Sept 11, were moved to pray on Tuesday, but went back pretty much to their normal prayerless routines in the days following. God doesn’t regard such people as His. He won’t hear such Tuesday prayers. Tuesday Christians are no Christians at all. They’ve nothing of the Spirit of Christ. People who pray only when something bad happens, lamenting their loss while not seeing their sins and repenting, won’t be accepted by God. Godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be repented of; but the sorrow of the world produces death. (2Cor7:10) Such people say, “God bless America” without praying, “God forgive America.” They try to come to the throne of grace (Heb4:16) when they’re still filthy with the sins of the flesh. They should be saying, “Lord forgive us for our lack of Spirituality and our disobedience to Your Word.” Without a true repentance there’s no access to the throne of God. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord won’t hear. (Ps66:18) God hears the prayers of the Christians who were praying on Monday and are still praying. True Christians pray without ceasing. (1Th5:17) But if you weren’t praying on Monday, you need to repent to be heard by God. Anyone who claims to be a “Christian” who isn’t praying and reading their bible regularly is in sin, and doesn’t have the right to come running to God to be heard only when there’s a problem or disaster strikes. (See Jn9:3,15:7;1Jn3:22)

I’ll number you for the sword, and you’ll all bow down to the slaughter; because, when I called, you didn’t answer; when I spoke, you didn’t hear, but did evil before My eyes, and chose that in which I don’t delight. (Is65:12) Hundreds of people were calling on the Lord in those fiery towers who God didn’t answer. Many died calling on the Lord. He didn’t answer because in the past He’d called and called them, but they never answered Him. Because I’ve called and you refused, I’ve stretched out My hand and no one regarded, because you disdained all My counsel, and would have none of My rebuke, I’ll also laugh at your calamity; I’ll mock when your terror comes, when your terror comes like a storm, and your destruction comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. Then they’ll call on Me, but I won’t answer; they’ll seek Me diligently, but they won’t find Me. Because they hated knowledge and didn’t choose the fear of the LORD, they’d have none of My counsel and despised My every rebuke. (Pr1:24-30) People who won’t answer when God calls them to pray in a moment of leisure won’t hear God warning them how to avoid or escape a disaster. People who pray only when they’re in trouble are just background noise to God. Theirs are prayers He pays no attention. But He hears the saints who’ve been obeying Him and praying all along. At “My Father’s House” we didn’t call a special prayer meeting on Tuesday because we meet to pray every night. All over the U.S.A. “churches” were calling people together to pray Tuesday but by Wednesday most weren’t praying anymore. Most went back to their worldly interests. Their faithfulness is like the early dew. (Hos6:4) Carnal “christians” can’t take much inconvenience. They may accept a little change if they’re moved enough – but it won’t last because they’re far too busy with the cares of this world. (Mt13:22) Such “believers” who are worldly and self serving have no right to call themselves Christians – Jesus isn’t in them!

Shortly after 9/11 the News people interviewed a few so called “leaders” of “christianity.” In his interview, Billy Graham said, “I don’t know why God allows evil.” If he doesn’t know why God allows evil, he doesn’t know the bible because the answers are very plain. (1Jn2:20) Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. (Am3:7) And Jesus said, “I’ve called you friends, for all things I heard from My Father I’ve made known to you.” (Jn15:15) Jesus isn’t Billy Graham’s friend. Jesus doesn’t leave His friends in the dark. (Gen18:17) God’s judgments are instructive but to be instructed you must know why they come. When the “church” doesn’t know why God’s judging it’s a sure thing they don’t know God and they aren’t His people. For a man who knows so little about God to be considered a “leader” of “Christianity” is a shame to all real Christians. When it’s evening you say, “It’ll be fair weather, for the sky is red;” and in the morning, “It’ll be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.” Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you can’t discern the signs of the times. (Mt16:2,3)

Another so called leader said, “Blessed are those who mourn,” concerning those who lost loved ones. But this is a twisting of the scripture. (Mt5:4) Jesus is talking about those who mourn over sins. The kind of mourning going on over 9/11 was I don’t want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who’ve fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. (1Th4:13) If their loved ones didn’t die in the Lord they have no hope and such sorrowing isn’t blessed. The sorrow of the world produces death. (2Cor7:10) This is what passes for “christianity” these days! Neither such “shepherds” nor their flocks know God.

A terrible heresy that’s been often repeated during this crisis is that everyone whether Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, etc., can all pray to their own god and be heard. The promoters of this foolishness believe we all pray to the same “god” because there’s only one God. There’s nothing more abominable and offensive to true Christianity than this wicked lie. The bible proves there’s an awesome difference between true Christianity and all false religions which follow false God’s. The things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don’t want you to have fellowship with demons. (1Cor10:20) Nothing identifies a false “christian” more than this idea that I can pray to Christ and you can pray to Buddha or Allah etc., and it’s all the same. Allah has no son. My God is the Father of the Lord Jesus, the Son of God. Allah isn’t the same as my God! Mohammed didn’t die for your sins – Buddha didn’t die for your sins. There’s no other who died for our sins and was raised for our justification than Christ. (Rom4:25) Mohammed wasn’t raised. Buddha wasn’t raised. There’s no way to God except through Jesus Christ. Jesus says, “I’m the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (Jn14:6) When Christianity rejects Jesus as the only way then it’s no longer Christianity. Therefore I said to you, you’ll die in your sins; for if you don’t believe that I’m He, you’ll die in your sins. (Jn8:24) Nor is there salvation in any other, for there’s no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Act4:12)

“Christian” leaders who claim, “We’re all praying to the same God” are sons of satan. (Jn8:44) They’re so deceived and ignorant of what real Christianity is that true Christians must turn away from them in shame. You can’t claim to be a Christian and have any fellowship with someone who says God hears the prayers of one who hasn’t come to Christ. No one who says we can all pray to our various gods because they’re all the same has any understanding at all of Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I’ve commanded you; and lo, I’m with you always, even to the end of the age. (Mt28:19,20) Jesus is saying go to the Buddhists and tell them Buddha won’t save them even if they kill you for telling them! Go to the Muslims and tell them Mohammed and Allah won’t save them; tell them the Truth!  Go to India and tell them their superstitions won’t save them! Go to the Africans and tell them their witch doctoring won’t save them! Tell the world their false religions won’t save! Though you’re changing cultures and traditions and many may hate you or even try to kill you, tell them their false gods won’t save them! Only Jesus can save! Put your life on the line because I’m with you. Not a hair of your head will perish! (Lk21:18)

Christianity spread because true believers told the world, Your god isn’t God! Many martyrs died to get the nations to the Truth! And today, it’s utterly disgusting to hear so called “christian” leaders profane the blood of Christ and the martyrs saying, “Your god is as good as our God.” Jesus died for nothing if Mohammed can save you. The martyrs who took the gospel into countries that killed them did it because they knew only Jesus could save and it was worth their lives to tell people that Truth. How absolutely evil it is when someone who claims to be a Christian denies Christ as the only way to salvation? There’s no other God-man, no other name, no other Messiah given under Heaven who’s been raised from the dead, who’s died for your sins. So there’s no other way to the Father! (Act4:12) If anyone has a sincere desire to know God, the Father will lead him to Christ. (Jn6:44) He won’t allow anyone to come to God independently because to do so would undo Gethsemane and convict God of murdering His Son for no reason. Father, if it’s Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done. (Lk22:42) If there was another way, the Father would’ve taken the cup away. If you think people can pray to any god and be heard, you aren’t a Christian! You don’t believe what Jesus says about Himself nor what the scriptures say about Him! “I, even I, am the LORD, and besides Me there’s no savior. I’ve declared and saved, I’ve proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you’re My witnesses,” says the LORD, “that I’m God.” (Is43:11,12) “You’re My witnesses,” God says, “There’s no other God but Me.” That’s what we witness to! There’s no other God! There’s only one way to God and it’s thru Jesus. Those who reject that don’t even have the foundations of salvation. And we who’ve gotten past the foundations (Heb6:1) are saying it’s not enough to just believe in His name but you must live in His Spirit. (Rom8:6,13) So called “churches” who won’t stand up for Jesus as the only way men can be saved, can’t claim to be brethren. They’re not Christians! Such “churches” are as disgusting as an apple that’s rotten and full of worms. When you look for fruit, the bible says Christians should bear, you don’t see it. Much of what purports to be of Christ today isn’t Christian at even the most basic levels. And God grant us grace to expose these false brethren and make these fools who think Christianity is compatible with other religions ashamed of themselves. If the early Christians believed that there wouldn’t even be any Christians today. We’d all be Muslim or Hindu, or Buddhist or pagan but we wouldn’t be Christian because the spread of Christianity didn’t come from men who were agreeable with other religions. It came from martyrs who laid their lives down to tell the other religions, “Your religion isn’t Truth! Jesus Christ is the only one who can save and this is the only way to be saved.” And the Great Commission hasn’t changed.

Many so called “christians” today are afraid of confrontation. They’re cowards! God says the cowardly won’t inherit eternal life. (Rev21:8) He also says those who receive the Holy Spirit will be bold! The righteous are bold as a lion. (Pr28:1;Act4:13) Spirit filled Christians are brave! But what passes for “christianity” in most “churches” today is cowardice. In many so called “churches” you see “believers” pretending to be nice to other people and thinking that’s what makes them good Christians when actually they’re cowards afraid of confrontation. The scriptures teach we must stand up and tell the lost they’re headed for death. (Pr24:11,12) But today’s “churches” fear men. (Pr29:25) Any doctrine that says, “You can pray to your god and I’ll pray to mine” is a cowardly tolerance that says I don’t have to expose error! I can mind my own business and let the lost go their way. But if that’s what you believe, then you’re going to the same place as the lost, and that place is hell. Even though you claim to be a Christian, if your Christianity is so superficial that you won’t stand up for Christ and tell other people they can’t be saved by the lies they’re following, then you aren’t a Christian at all. (Lk9:26)

Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Surely we didn’t know this,” doesn’t He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t He know it? And Won’t He render to each man according to his deeds? (Pr24:11,12) If you let people die because you’re a coward, God won’t save you. Cowards fear confrontation! But often confrontation is the only way you can open someone’s eyes. You can’t pat people on the back while they’re going to hell. Speak the Truth in love. (Eph4:15) If they come against the Truth you must stand up even stronger and not let them fool themselves or others. Stand up for God’s Truth against those who resist so others can hear! The liars and demons who foster all false religions, want to stop the voice of true Christianity. All thru the book of Acts they used threats, murder, riots, magistrates and judges, anyone they could muster against the true believers. Yet the true Christians kept the gospel going forth. They never tried to make peace in the sense of let them have their way and we’ll have ours – we’re all praying to the same God! That was never heard or even thought of amongst real Christians. Standing up for what the Word says is what the real church is about! That’s still the way of Christ. Boldness in proclaiming the Truth in the face of a wicked and rebellious generation who doesn’t want to hear – boldness in saying, “There’s no other way! Your way won’t work! You’re damned if you follow the traditions of your fathers! You must turn to Christ and run your race His way.” (1Cor9:24) “There’s good news. There is a gospel. There is a way of salvation and it’s available to you but you need to put away your stupid traditions and turn to Jesus with all your heart.” Today that includes putting away the worldly, corrupted forms of “christianity” that have allowed many to think they’re “saved” when they don’t know the Word or the Spirit of God. God knows who’s His. (2Tim2:19) He knows if you don’t love Him. He knows if you love the world and the things of the world and He knows if the only time you’ll pray is on terrible Tuesday, but never on Monday or Wednesday, it’s because your “christianity” is false and self-serving. It has nothing of a love for God in it. Such “believers” aren’t saved. Tuesday christians aren’t saved.

The wicked lie that says, “You don’t have to pray in Jesus’ name. God hears all prayers” can never be permitted amongst the true churches of Jesus Christ. It’s a traitorous tolerance that comes against the very roots and heart of real Christianity. I pray every true Christian can see the foolishness, the vanity, the absolute ignorance in these “leaders” who are so far from God and His Word that they dare to say such things and think they’ll be applauded for it. The true church and all real Christians must rebuke them sharply and dissociate from them if they don’t repent and get back to the solid foundation of faith in Christ and Christ only. It’s a shame that what’s come out in public in these tragic days has exposed many so called “christian” leaders as being false “believers,” totally antichrist and a grief to the true church, and so many “believers” as being prayerless and worthless Tuesday christians who have no desire to fellowship with God until something causes them to fear. O Ephraim, what shall I do to you? O Judah, what shall I do to you? For your faithfulness is like a morning cloud, like the early dew it goes away. (Hos6:4)

* * *

(Reprinted from “The Unsearchable Riches of Christ” pages 10,11) Because I’ve called and you refused, I’ve stretched out my hand and no one regarded…Then they’ll call on me, but I won’t answer; they’ll seek me diligently, but they won’t find me. (Pr1:24-28 – See also Is65:12;66:4) This often repeated Word of God proves He expects us not to wait to the last moment or to disobey Him for years and then when judgment comes cry out for God to “fix it.” It’s very presumptuous if you think that’s going to happen because the way God works with true believers is He may begin to tell you what to do even years before a problem comes into your life because He sees ahead. And He’s expecting you to obey Him by faith because He can’t explain everything that’s coming, and everything you’ll need to do all at once. So He’ll tell you what you need to do now. And if you obey, God will keep telling you day by day what to do to prepare, so when the time comes you’ll be completely ready. He can’t always explain to you what’s going to happen because you might react in such a way as would violate what God has purposed concerning the future. But He can tell you what you need to do now so when the time comes He’ll be able to uphold you. And if you’ll listen when He’s calling and telling you to prepare, when the time comes you’ll be prepared. You won’t call on Him in vain in the day of crisis if you’ve been listening to Him thru the time of preparation. And this is where so many of the so called “christians” around us are failing. They call themselves Christians but they disobey much of what God tells them and think it’s not important. Yet they think when a crisis comes they’ll be able to cry out then and God will deliver them. But there won’t be any means to deliver such people if they won’t obey God now and prepare. Noah was delivered because he obeyed and built the ark. Many people cried to God when the storm came and yet they perished. They didn’t listen or obey when God was warning them, so they weren’t prepared and when the flood came it was too late to build an ark. And there’ve been numerous lessons like that in the scriptures. Don’t you know everyone was crying out once the storm came, “Save me, God!” But He’s saying, “I warned you. I had a preacher of righteousness preaching for many years but you wouldn’t listen and now you want Me to save you; it’s too late!”  (2Pt2:5)

Prophecy: You have struggled and struggled and struggled to stand for Me, and yet all around you have resisted everything that you have tried to do for Me. Now I tell you, the struggle is over, you are not going to be vexed anymore, because all you are going to do is obey Me and you will not struggle with them, I will struggle with them, and you will be at peace while I do the fighting, saith the Lord.
