The Godhead!/He Tasted Death!

By Pastor Bill Taylor

A publication of My Father's House, inc. Volume 11/ Issue 2

Prophecy: Before I strike the earth with a curse I said I’d send the Spirit of Elijah to turn the hearts of the children toward the fathers and the hearts of the fathers toward the children. I tell you this scripture is being fulfilled here, in this place and in this day. My children want to know Me but don’t know Me the way the fathers do. But the fathers do know Me and can teach My children. You have fathers here. So you who are fathers can teach others to know Me. And many children will come because they want to know Me as their Father. So I’m giving you all you need to teach them and I’m turning their hearts towards you and yours towards them, that you may give them what they need and they may receive what they need. And I tell you, the things which will take place shortly in this My house you’ve never dreamed. The love that will be poured out in both directions will be beyond any expectation. You’ll experience things that haven’t been known for many generations, for I’m blessing you with the Spirit of Elijah that you may be one with each other and one with Me, saith the Lord! (Prophecy delivered at “My Father’s House”)

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. (Mt11:27) No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I’ll raise him up at the last day. It’s written in the prophets, “And they shall all be taught by God.” Therefore everyone who’s heard and learned from the Father comes to Me. (Jn6:44,45) There are very few “christians” today who know the Father. The contemporary “churches” think they know a lot about the Son, but since no one knows the Son except the Father if they aren’t taught by the Father what they think they know about the Son will be erroneous. And if they don’t know the Son then they can’t know the Father either – since only the Son can reveal the Father. So there’s actually a lot of presumption on this subject in most so-called “churches.” “Believers” are deceived if they think they know the Son when the Father isn’t teaching them. It’s not possible they could know the Son if they aren’t hearing the Father because only the Father can reveal Christ! Then when it comes to talking to Christ, if they don’t hear what Jesus is saying they won’t know the Father either. The Father must reveal the Son to them or they can’t know the Son and until they know Jesus they can’t get to know the Father! And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (Jn17:3)

I just received a letter from an inmate thanking us for the things we’re doing to help believers in the prisons. He mentioned he was often disappointed in what he called the “mature” christians around him. In my reply I told him, “You’re misunderstanding maturity. You think these men are mature because they’ve been ‘christians’ for a long time but maturity is only measured in how much you’re actually being conformed to Christ, not how long you’ve ‘believed!’” That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the Truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the Head – Christ. (Eph4:14,15) The immature are unstable and it doesn’t matter how long they’ve been in the “church,” if they’re still being “blown about” they aren’t mature. Christian maturity is also referred to in I write to you fathers, because you’ve known Him who is from the beginning. (1Jn2:13) The “fathers” in the true church are mature because they know the supreme Father God!

You can’t be a son of God unless you know the Son because He’s the Spirit of Sonship. And you can’t be a father in the church unless you know the Father God because He’s the Spirit of Fatherhood. Most “churches” today don’t have any fathers in them. No one in them knows the Father, so they don’t have the Spirit of Fatherhood. You can only have fathers in a church where you have those who’ve entered into, And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You’ve sent. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. I’ve manifested Your name to the men whom You’ve given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they’ve kept Your Word. Now they’ve known that all things which You’ve given Me are from You. And the glory which You gave Me I’ve given them, that they may be one just as We are one. O righteous Father! The world hasn’t known You, but I’ve known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I’ve declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. (Jn17:3,5-7,22,25-26) So they’ve learned to know the Father by knowing the Son, because the Son is revealing the Father to them. But the Father brought them to the Son, in order for Christ to do that. No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; It’s written in the prophets, “And they shall all be taught by God.” Therefore everyone who’s heard and learned from the Father comes to Me. (Jn6:44a,45) To understand this better you need to know the function and position of each member of the Godhead.

The term “Godhead” is scriptural (Col 2:9) whereas “Trinity” is a “coined” theological term not found in the bible and often associated with heresies as for example when “Trinitarians” say the members of the Godhead are co-equal which isn’t true since the Father has supreme authority and is higher than the Son. Then comes the end, when He (Jesus) delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He’s put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He’s put all things under His feet.” But when He (the Father) says “all things are put under Him,” it’s evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him (the Father) who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. (1Cor15:24-28) Fathers always have preeminence over their children! Thus we can see that “Trinitarians” don’t really know the Father or the Son let alone the Spirit! Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live. (1Cor8:6) The Father “of whom are all things” is the originator. Everything begins with Him and whatever the Father desires when He makes that desire known to Jesus the Son “through whom are all things” Jesus forms a plan to fulfill the Father’s desire (will). Then Jesus administrates the working out of that plan as in There are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. (1Cor12:5OKJ) So what the Father wants to do, Jesus plans how and when to do – putting all things in order. And the Spirit actually fulfills each step of the plan as Jesus directs. Thus in a sense Jesus is the “mind of God.” And what’s the function of your mind? Your “brain” isn’t your mind but the brain is the physical organ in which the mind resides, for the mind is spiritual not physical. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind. (Eph4:23) So why do you need a mind and what do you use it for? To be able to think and put the desires of the heart in order! Why do you need to do this? One reason is to solve problems. Animals can’t solve many problems. They never make any social or technological progress because they don’t have much ability to resolve difficulties. They’re very limited in their reasonings and most of what they do is instinctive. Man can progress only in so far as he can see a problem and solve it. The doctrine that says Jesus is the Light of the world and not just the Light of the church very much agrees with this. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. (Jn1:9) Every legitimate problem man has solved in this world, whether in or out of the church, even in the atheistic secular realm, the solution has come from Jesus. Jesus will give light even to unbelievers in order that the light will manifest in such a way as to eventually bless the elect. He works all things together for good for the saints (Rom8:28) and He even asks us to pray for unbelievers that we’d have peaceable lives. (1Tim2:1) If you compare the Spirit of light that comes from God versus the spirit of error you’ll see in every realm there are places where things are being done that have benefit but there are other situations where the things being done are perverted by the spirit of error into something harmful. But even the harmful things originally had a beneficial purpose. Where revelation shows someone how to cure a disease or overcome a problem or make a farm more productive or a machine work better; whatever is producing things that are helping God’s people; every place such light appears it comes from Christ. (Jms1:17) The devil doesn’t give good things. (Jms3:14-16) So where anything beneficial comes about it’s of Christ. He’s the Light of the world. He’s the mind of God.

Is your mind “you?” It’s an important part of you – but not all of you. The real you begins in your heart. Your mind is the part of you that can express what’s in your heart, put it into words so you can reveal or share your heart with others. So Jesus is the complete “expression” of the Father. Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He’d by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. (Heb1:3) He who’s seen Me has seen the Father. (Jn14:9b) Jesus reveals the Father; His heart and will to us. Also as your mind can put things into action to “do” what’s in your heart, so Jesus does the will of the Father. And concerning the true believers, we have the mind of Christ! (1Cor2:16)

In almost everything men do there’s a proper order. If you don’t do it in the proper order the job will be messed up. In roofing you have to start your shingles at the bottom edge of the roof. You can’t start half way up. You can’t put your ridge caps on until your shingles are done. If you’re doing a roof from scratch the tar paper must go down first. Previous to the tar paper you need to have the plywood. Before the plywood you must have the trusses. You can’t get the trusses up until you have the walls. Before you put the walls up there must be a foundation. If you didn’t put your water and sewer lines in before the foundation you’ve got a rough job ahead. To get the job done there has to be a recognition of the needful steps, and each step has to be taken in its proper order. For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. But Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. (Heb3:4,6)

As the mind of God, Jesus knows what the Father wants to do and if the Father wants to build a house, Jesus says, “Father, I’ll build it for You.” Immediately Jesus begins to plan, to put everything in order. But the Father is the source so once everything’s in order Jesus says, “Father, we need the sub-piping.” And the Father supplies. “Next we need the concrete,” etc. So Jesus asks the Father for whatever He needs as it’s needed. And the Father supplies. Jesus plans and administrates the work but everything He does is done to please the Father. The Father is the source. First, He’s the source of the inspiration of what’s to be done. Secondly, He’s the source from which we receive whatever materials or helps we need to do the work. This agrees with, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1Jn5:14) You can’t be asking for the shingles if the foundation isn’t in yet because it’s the will of God that everything be done in its proper order. You don’t need the shingles yet. You need the foundation now. You need the walls next. Only then can you ask for the trusses because unless you’re asking for the thing that’s needed in its proper order, you aren’t asking according to the will of God. And you’ll get that proper order from Christ. If you have the mind of Christ, you’ll see what needs to be done next. (1Cor2:12) This also applies to your Spiritual walk and salvation. Understanding the proper order has much to do with getting out of presumption and into being led by the Spirit.

In your personal experience for example, to be set free from sin what’s the first thing that had to happen? First you had to see your sin. Some people however, even if they see their sin it doesn’t bother them. So more is needed than just seeing the sin! You also have to really feel sorry for sinning. (2Cor7:10) The word the Bible uses for this is conviction. So you must be convicted of your sin in such a way as makes you sorry! But there’s another thing you need to be convicted of. Righteousness! Why? Conviction precedes repentance which means “to turn away from.” In order to get a sinner to do what’s right he has to not only repent from doing what’s wrong but he has to see how to do right! Conviction of righteousness is convincing the sinner of the right he should be doing. Also the sinner needs to realize what God will do to him if he doesn’t repent. He has to see the peril to his own soul. When he’s convicted God’s “Judgment” will fall upon the unrepentant that’s a very strong incentive for him to repent. But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you’re treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God. (Rom2:5) What does Jesus say about conviction? “Nevertheless I tell you the Truth. It’s to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Helper won’t come to you; but if I depart, I’ll send Him to you. And when He’s come, He’ll convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” (Jn16:7-8) The conviction of judgment causes sinners to see the guilty are in danger! What does the conviction of sin cause them to do? It causes them to see they’re guilty. The conviction of righteousness shows them what they ought to do to behave rightly. So the Holy Spirit produces all three kinds of conviction; everything that’s needed so sinners can properly repent. If you’re laying the foundation of a house you have to get a cement truck out to pour the concrete. And if you expect to get sinners convicted you need the Holy Spirit to convict them. That’s the beginning of fruitfulness. Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit so together with Him we can convict sinners. Of course, you have to tell the sinner what he’s doing wrong. And of course you have to tell him how to do right. Someone has to preach – someone has to warn the lost about the judgment to come so they can fear and repent. But if you try to do these things without the Holy Spirit people won’t be convicted. So the question is, are you working in God’s proper order? (See our Glory of His Grace book “Beholding Your Good Order.”) We know God wants sinners to be convicted so they’ll repent and be saved, and Jesus knows how to do it – what must be done 1st, 2nd, 3rd. So if you’re to be successful you must abide in Jesus, and follow Him in His timing and the steps He’s taking to accomplish God’s will. Apart from Him you can do nothing. (Jn15:5) Concerning the Spirit Jesus also said, “He’ll glorify Me, for He’ll take of what’s Mine and declare it to you.” (Jn16:14) The Holy Spirit shows us the things that belong to Jesus. For what purpose? So we can use them to accomplish God’s will. And Jesus is showing us what the Holy Spirit will do so we can receive God’s help in the things we need to do to convict people.

Assuming you’ve been properly baptized into Christ, then what must you do next to get the Holy Spirit to work with you? Ask! So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you’ll find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? (Lk11:9-13) Following your baptism in water, baptism in the Holy Spirit is required if you’re to become a co-worker with Christ. I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who’s coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I’m not worthy to carry. He’ll baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (Mt3:11) And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you’ve heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. But you’ll receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you’ll be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Act1:4,5,8)

Do you need to see what God’s will is? But as it’s written: “Eye hasn’t seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. (1Cor2:9-10) The Spirit will show you what needs to be done! But how can you expect to be led by the Spirit if you’re not praying in the Holy Spirit and building up your faith to be used? But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude20,21) And then of course you must be ready to obey immediately when the Spirit opens a door for you to speak because it’s only as the Spirit speaks through you, and works with you, that you can convict people.

After someone’s convicted what’s the next step if he’s to be saved? Repentance. We must show the convicted sinner how to repent and what real repentance is. John the Baptist not only tells the people to repent but to “Bring forth fruits worthy of repentance.” (Lk3:8) It’s not enough to say you’re sorry but we must see your repentance is real in your actions. Not only must you stop doing evil, but you must start doing good! Repentance will always show up in your behavior if it’s from the heart! Remember repentance is an exercise of faith, and faith without works is dead. (Jms2:20) So true repentance must have “works” of repentance! He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” (Lk3:11)

Following a true repentance if you’re going on to salvation you must learn to obey the Word of God and to obey it you have to know and understand it. So the person who’s truly being saved, is being taught of God, studying God’s Word and taking steps of obedience; reading his bible with a heart to do everything God requires of him including submitting himself to a godly pastor and true Christian brethren. So if God is to use you to save people you must be able to show them the steps they need to take in the proper order and encourage them to take each step as needed! Also there must be a continual Spiritual watching over every new disciple. It’s not enough to tell someone how to do the job. You must also check up on them to see if they’re doing it rightly. You can’t just leave people on their own. A child left to himself brings shame to his mother. (Pr29:15) “Oh, I told him to do right.” Brenda used to say concerning Jay! But you left him alone! You didn’t watch over him! Now Jonathan is a pretty good boy as far as working and obeying and trying to do right but even so I have to check up on him. Today when we were re-doing our roof I found he wasn’t properly cutting the shingles at the ridges. I had to make him come back and recut them. I said, “I don’t understand, Jonathan, I thought you knew how to do this kind of work.” He answered, “It’s been a year since I worked on roofs at Habitat.” And I said, “How long has it been since I worked on a roof? Probably ten years. You make these excuses up so easily.” Then I asked him, “Jon, why is it I know how to do this and you don’t? You’ve had more recent experience than me.” He answered, “You have understanding.” Well how did I get the understanding? I didn’t just get it from working with roofers. I get understanding from caring about what I’m doing, and wanting to do a good job. (1Cor10:31) I watch and think about what makes for a better roof. You cut your shingles so there’s an inch or so between the cut offs and you’ll have a nicely rounded ridge cap. A rounded ridge cap will last for years. How did I learn that? I looked at ridge caps and I saw cracked ones and I saw good ones and I saw why the cracked ones were cracked and why the good ones were good. I thought about what I was doing. (Ps119:59) The roofing business isn’t rocket science. You don’t need to be a genius to do this but you do need to use your mind. It amazes me how many people refuse to think! Why can you be doing the same job I’m doing and not see what I see? I can do the job well because I watch and think. Whereas Jonny, he’s not watching and thinking. He’s just doing. I had to stop him because he was pounding the nails too hard and they were breaking through the shingles. I had to teach him the last hit should be gentle enough that you don’t break thru the shingle. He thinks the last hit should be a strike to kill! And bang! You’ve got a hole right thru the shingle and the nail isn’t even holding the shingle on anymore. It isn’t strength that wins the job. It’s knowing what you’re doing. So even when you have a good boy on the job he still has to be watched. Why? It’s the immaturity of youth! Many young people just haven’t learned how to see things rightly yet. There is a reason fathers are fathers. And there’s a reason children are children. And children aren’t fit to be running things. They’re not ready for it. And fathers must watch over their children because fathers can see what the children can’t. But somewhere through the process of correction the child should grow up and become a father. And one day he’ll be on a roof with his son and he’ll say, “Don’t hit the nail that hard!” because he’ll have understanding. And the point we’re making here is; even this wisdom comes from Christ. Having understanding, being able to look – to see – to know what step is next – to know how to do it rightly – that’s all “Light” from Christ! But when you need nails – they come from the Father in Jesus’ name! “Father, we need more “nails of conviction” to complete the work of Christ!” The source of all things is the Father through Christ but the wisdom comes from Christ and the power comes from the Holy Spirit. There’s the Godhead! Now how much are you like God? Are you being led by the Spirit, getting your inspiration from the heart – the Father? Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” (Jn5:19) Is your mind focused on things above, receiving the things the Father shows you and putting them in the proper order to get them done? That’s the mind of Christ! (1Cor2:16) Then is your body actually putting feet to your faith and doing what God shows you? That’s the Spirit! (1Cor12:11)

And God said, “Let us make man in our image.” (Gen1:26) So the Godhead; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit made man a triune being with a spiritual heart to be the originator of desire, a soul to be the thinking part to find how to fulfill the heart’s desire, and a body to be the doing part. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. (Gen1:27a)

The Godhead are co-eternal meaning they have all existed forever, without beginning. Any references to “first begotten” etc. are referring to Jesus’ humanity and not His divinity. And He is the Head of the body, the church, who’s the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Col 1:18) The Father is the origin of all things. The Son is the architect. And the Spirit is the builder. Thus when the Father wants a church, Jesus designs it and the Spirit puts it together; each piece in its proper place and time. Thus we pray to the Father, the source, in the name of the Son and through the Spirit. The Father is the preeminent authority. (1Cor15:27;Act1:7) The Father knows things that the Son and the Spirit don’t know. (Mt24:36) Jesus is the head of the church so we receive direction from His mind, but through our helper the Spirit. For the Spirit searches the deep things of God. (1Cor2:10) The Spirit is our contact with God. Only by being led by the Spirit can we be sons of God! (Rom8:14) And if we don’t have the Spirit we’re not His! (Rom8:9) Everything we need to know and can know about the Godhead must come to us from scripture and revelation, in the Spirit, not by human wisdom and pontification which the bible warns against. (Eph4:17;1Cor1:19)

So again, you’re created in the image of God. And you’re body, soul, and spirit. Your spirit is the heart and origin of all your desires as is the Father God the origin of all the Godhead does. Your soul which includes your mind can plan and administer what the spirit wants to do as Jesus organizes the ways to carry out the will of the Father. The body however does the work as the Spirit does God’s work. Thus we pray to the Father, the source, in the name of the Son and through the Spirit. Again, the Father is preeminent in authority. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it’s evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. (1Cor15:27) And He said to them, “It’s not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. (Acts1:7) Although the Father has given all authority to the Son, “For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son.” (Jn5:22) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” (Mt28:18) in the end the Son will return all things to the Father. For He’s put all things under His feet. But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it’s evident that He (the Father) who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him (the Father) who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. (1Cor15:27,28) Because all three; Father, Son, and Spirit are GOD some theologians like to say they’re coequal. However, again the Father is greater than the Son in authority. You’ve heard Me say to you, “I’m going away and coming back to you.” If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, “I’m going to the Father,” for My Father is greater than I. (Jn14:28) And the Spirit is subject to both the Father and the Son. Though the three are one, it’s similar to the fact that your body, soul, and spirit are one, yet if you’re Spiritual your body obeys your soul and spirit and your soul obeys your spirit. But they’re all designed to work together perfectly as one.

Intellectual theologians seem to think they can dissect God like a frog in a biology lab and capture Him in their human intellect, but they always fail miserably. God is much too big for the human mind to encompass or comprehend in that way. (1Tim1:5-7) Idle talkers well describes these mental meanderers. They bring forth no fruit. They don’t help you to know God better, because they don’t commune with God in their speculations, but they only commune with their own minds. LORD, my heart isn’t haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me. (Ps131:1) And if anyone thinks he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. (1Cor8:2) To know God is eternal life. (Jn17:3) But we can only know Him by communing with Him personally, not by trying to figure things out about Him through human connivings and wisdom. Intellectual “christianity” doesn’t produce a Spirit filled or Spirit led life, but the pride of thinking you know something when you know nothing yet as you ought. (1Cor8:1-3) Don’t be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it’s good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which haven’t profited those who’ve been occupied with them. (Heb13:9) True Christian theology must have hands and feet. It’s not mere knowledge for the sake of knowing but it’s for the sake of doing! When you get away from the doing you’re certain to be in error. Truths that come from God are a joy for real Christians to receive because they’ve a practical value and make us more fruitful; they help us to serve God better. Otherwise they’re just foolish disputes, contentions, and strivings about the law; which Paul says are unprofitable and useless and to be avoided! (Tit3:9) I don’t care to understand God’s anatomy. I delight in knowing His heart and obeying His voice.

There is a very dangerous heresy called “Jesus Only” which is promoted by the United Pentecostals. They profess to follow holiness etc., but by rejecting the Godhead they’ve made themselves obnoxious to all true Christians. According to their “oneness” heresy, Jesus is the Father and the Holy Spirit whereas the scriptures plainly show a very real distinction between the three persons of the Godhead. For example, when on the cross Jesus says, “My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?” (Mt27:46) If Jesus were God the Father and the Spirit it would be impossible for Him to be forsaken. Also, But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let’s go from here. (Jn14:31) Then comes the end, when He delivers the Kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him (the Father) who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. (1Cor15:24,28) Jesus very plainly shows by example His devotion and submission to His Father as His superior in position. The Father is the Person of highest rank. Jesus is one with Him in will and purpose and obedience, and as Joseph was given all authority by pharaoh except authority over pharaoh himself, Jesus has been given all authority over everything with the one exception that He remains subject to the higher authority of the Father.

Satan comes as an angel of light! There are so many ways Christianity has been perverted by false “ministers of righteousness.” And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it’s no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. (2Cor11:14,15) But this “Jesus Only” lie is one of the most incredibly wicked of heresies. If Jesus is the Father then everything He’s done out of love for the Father becomes “selfishness!” He’s actually been serving Himself if He’s the Father! What blasphemy these wicked “Jesus Only” people are promoting! Knowing Christ and His deep love for His Father God, I know there’s no lie the Son of God hates worse than this “Jesus Only” heresy! It comes against everything Jesus stands for. If satan can’t get people to ignore or despise God’s Son, then he actually has the effrontery to deceive some fools into elevating Christ above the Father in such a way that even their worship of Jesus becomes sin. If satan can’t get people to have too little of Jesus, then he causes some to make too much of Jesus, thus in appearance making Jesus seem to be guilty of the sin of trying to usurp the position of the Father God; the very sin satan himself is guilty of! Flee from these people! Paul has said that if anyone preaches any other gospel than the true, they’re accursed. (Gal 1:8,9) These United Pentecostals are certainly among the most cursed of all!

Prophecy: I bring to your attention what Jotham the son of Gideon said to Abimelek and the men of Sechem, how the trees of Lebanon went to anoint a king over them. They went to the olive tree and the olive tree said, “Why should I cease giving my oil which honors God and men to go to sway over trees?” And they called to the vine and the vine said, “Why should I stop giving my wine which cheers both God and men to go to sway over trees?” And they went to the fig tree and the fig tree said, “Why should I stop bearing my sweet and good fruit to go to sway over trees?” And I show you that each of these, the olive, the vine and fig tree knew what they were created for. They had a purpose and they were fulfilling that purpose. And they didn’t let the other trees, these other things, come in and stop them from fulfilling their purpose of providing good fruit, good oil and wine. I tell you if you wish to serve Me you must commit to My purposes. You must commit in your heart to build up My church and cause My church to grow and to give your part for the edification of the brethren. And you must not let anything stop you from doing your part – not the world – not things in this life – not anything! But you must hold to My purpose and hold to Me. You honor Me when you do this. Submit to Jesus in you. Don’t let go but continue to give what I give you to give. Only when you do this are you a glory unto Me. So don’t let anything stop you. And it’s not just in church but in your everyday life that you mustn’t let anything stop you from glorifying Me. Always hold fast to Me, your Head, if you want to be useful to your brethren and a glory unto Me, saith the Lord.

Prophecy: Look at Jesus, the way He speaks and the things He does. He says, “I’m the Light of the world. I’m the Resurrection and the Life. I’m the Way, the Truth and the Life.” The way He speaks is He says what He is. He knows what He is because He knows what He does and He knows what He does is what I show Him to do and what I show Him to do He obeys because He listens and much good fruit comes forth so He knows what He is and there’s no doubt – there’s no wavering – there’s no presumption – there’s no questioning of what He thinks He is. He knows who He is because He knows who He serves and He knows I bless Him. And I tell you, if you want to be able to say, “I’m a disciple of Christ. I’m His light in this world. I’m as Jesus is!” Then you must show that in everything it’s Me you go to, that I’m the one you’re hearing and obeying! Because you can’t say you are what you are by the grace of God – by My grace – by My mercy, if you haven’t received My grace! And I tell you, if you want to be what Jesus is, if you want to say you’re of Jesus, you’re His disciples, then you must do what He did. And what He did is what I showed Him to do and He always looked to Me to do it. And He had awesomely abundant fruit because of that, thus saith the Lord.

Prophecy: Consider and let My Words sink deep into your heart. Hide them, plant them and meditate on them. For the things I speak to you aren’t things you haven’t known but things you haven’t placed in your heart – things you haven’t done. I’ve given a wonderful, magnificent, supernatural, and glorious life thru My Son in the New Covenant; a life that men like Agur – men like David – men like Jeremiah and Isaiah would have rejoiced to live, a life of which it’s said “you’ll hear a voice behind you and He’ll say go this way or go that.” Where Agur had to ask Me to keep circumstances away from him lest he do wrong, I’ve given you a life that overcomes, surpasses man’s presumptions and enters into the supernatural realm to where I can show you a road with five forks in it and because you have a Head – you have My Spirit – My Spirit will lead you and guide you in the right path. You have the supernatural wisdom of Christ who knows which path to take. You can say, “Lord, which path?” You don’t have to presume any more. You can say, “Lord, which path?” And you can know while you are walking that path, “God showed me to go this way.” You have a supernatural leading because I’ve given an awesome supernatural life where you never have to do anything presumptuously. You have My Spirit – the Spirit of the living God – Christ with you and you can now live the Christ life – the supernatural life – the life where you do nothing except as the Father shows you. Take hold of it. Let it sink into your heart. I’ve given it – it’s yours if you receive it, saith the Lord. (Prophecies delivered at “My Father’s House”)

 He Tasted Death!

The Lord woke me up this morning with, And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Rom8:10) Of course He also gave me a fresh revelation concerning the meaning of this verse and one thing pertaining to it is, But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. (Heb2:9) This means that any human being who’ll truly receive Jesus will never have to taste of death as Jesus also indicates in saying, “He who hears My Word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (Jn5:24) A Spiritual Christian will never suffer the pains of death, because a true Christian believes in such a way that his unity to Christ means he already has everlasting life. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. (Jn11:26)

Jesus tasted death for every man at that point on the cross where He said, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Mk15:34) Death is a separation from God for God is Life! Jesus actually experienced a separation from God on the cross. That separation from God is what killed Him. It broke His heart. He’d never been disunified from His Father before. It was something He knew He had to do but it still devastated Him.

Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me. (Jn17:24) Has Jesus’ prayer been answered? Are we true disciples indeed always with Him? Lo, I’m with you always, even to the end of the age. (Mt28:20) Is it true He’s with us always? Only if we’re Spiritual can He be with us always. But if He’s with us always we’ll never taste death. We can only taste of death if we’re separated from Him, because He is life! Paul says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (2Cor5:8) Therefore For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. For I’m hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. (Phil 1:21,23) So if we’re truly Spiritual even if our body dies we’ll never be separated from Christ! Our soul will never suffer death. For I’m persuaded neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom8:38,39) That’s an awesome thing! The pangs of death include being utterly cut off from everything in this world – everyone you’ve ever loved or known and at the same time having no connection whatsoever with anything or anyone in the Spirit realm. So you’re completely desolate – you fall into hell horrifyingly lost and alone. But you’ll never know what that feels like if you’re connected to Jesus. He tasted death for you. He felt it so you don’t have to. And as long as you’re connected to Jesus in the Spirit you’re alive – not dead. Even if your body is dead your soul lives because Jesus is life and you can’t taste of death unless you’re separated from His life.

But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives. (1Tim5:6) Obviously she’s not in the Spirit of Christ. She’s chosen to follow the “old man” who doesn’t have eternal Life, so she’s “living” in a kind of death being separated from God. Sin also separates you from God – so the body is dead because of sin. (Rom8:10) Many of the things we’ve gone through with Laurie and Jeff show how often they’ve been separated from God. I pray they’re getting into His presence now but in the past they’ve made many decisions that had nothing of God in them, no wisdom, because particularly while they’re at home they’ve often “lived” separated from God; dead while they live. We also saw this in Janette and many others who’ve left My Father’s House where they’ve made a choice rather than to follow the “New Man” Jesus and be Spiritual, they continued in selfishness, pursuing temporal interests. This has kept them out of the blessings that those who really believe in Jesus and are led by the Spirit enjoy. And of course the greatest blessing is if we continue in the Spirit we’ll never be separated from Him, so we’ll never taste death!

In the past I’ve been criticized by some Baptists that I’m making salvation too hard. Is picking up your cross too hard? Is forsaking everything too hard? (Lk14:27,33) Is being crucified to this world and the world being crucified to you too hard? (Gal 6:14) Is loving Jesus more than loving father, mother, brother, sister too hard? (Mt10:37) It’s impossible to make salvation too hard. It’s possible to make it too easy and that’s what the wicked Baptists have done and in so doing they’ve proven themselves to be antichrist because they’re “anti” what Jesus says. They’re “anti” what the Word of God says. Don’t think you’ll ever see a Baptist in heaven. If someone from a Baptist church gets there it won’t be because he lived like a Baptist but it’ll be because he didn’t. Maybe in his ignorance the Baptist “church” was the only church he knew but he couldn’t have believed the way the Baptists do and make it to heaven. To make it to heaven he’d have to actually follow Jesus in the Spirit. So if he gets to heaven it won’t be because of his Baptist religion but it will be that in spite of the wicked Baptist “church” he still lived right according to God’s Word.  (Rev3:4)

The gospel has to be hard enough to put your flesh to death. If it doesn’t do that you won’t be saved. For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it’s the power of God. (1Cor1:17,18) The power of the cross is to put the flesh to death. There’s a cost to bearing your cross. (Mt16:24) It kills your “old man.” You can’t make the gospel too hard but you can make it too easy. You can make the gospel so easy that it doesn’t crucify the flesh and that’s exactly what the false churches have done. They’ve made it so easy that the “believer” isn’t crucified. And because they aren’t crucified there’s no eternal life in them! (Gal 2:20, 1Jn5:11,12) If their flesh is alive then they’re living in pleasure and selfishness and they’re dead while they live. Whereas Those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Gal 5:24)

Your consciousness is your soul. If you’re Spiritual your consciousness is connected to the Spirit of Christ. If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Rom8:10) But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption! (1Cor1:30) Because the Spirit is righteous the Spirit is life. In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there’s no death. (Pr12:28) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness. (Rom10:10) If you know that He’s righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him. (1Jn2:29) If indeed you’ve heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the Truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph4:21-24) You become “Born Again” in water baptism. (See our Glory of His Grace book “Baptism and Salvation”) That’s when you “put on Christ” (Gal 3:27) and become a “new creation.” (2Cor5:17) That’s when you “believe unto righteousness” – that you’re buried with Christ and raised with Him. (Col 2:12) In baptism you receive the New Man! The New Man, Christ in you, is created in righteousness and can only do righteousness and He’s never going to suffer death for He’s already raised. (Eph4:2-6;Col 3:1-3) Jesus suffered death once already and He’s not going to suffer it again. (Heb9:20-28) Your soul has eternal existence and if your soul puts on the New Man and becomes permanently united to the New Man then you’ll never suffer death either because Jesus has already done it for you, He’s already tasted it for you, and your faith makes you one with Him. So cling to Him, hold onto Him, and follow Him who is your life and you’ll never taste of death. In order to hold onto Him you must crucify the flesh. You must be crucified to the world and the world crucified to you. (Gal 6:14) So if the gospel you’re hearing doesn’t crucify your flesh then you’re still following the old man. The old man is the man of flesh and that flesh is going to die. The body is dead because of sin so it’s separated from God already. God must eventually kill our bodies to destroy the sin in them. And when that happens if your soul or consciousness is united to the old man, to the flesh, then your eternal consciousness will be eternally connected to death!

But even now while we participate in the church services and even though many of us are Spiritual and following Jesus we all still have sin in our flesh. The way we overcome this sin is to crucify the flesh and not let it operate. We don’t let flesh rule! We don’t bow the knee to the flesh’s desires. Every time one of you are rebuked in the church it’s because you’ve been caught following the flesh. You’re dead while you live when you do that. You don’t have the Spirit when you do that. You won’t get to heaven by doing that! Which is why we keep rebuking you and striking you with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (Eph6:17) until you wake up and crucify your flesh. Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Eph5:14) You can never be fit to enter the Kingdom of God until you’re crucified to the world and the world is crucified to you. (Gal 6:14) For if you live according to the flesh you’ll die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you’ll live. (Rom8:13) To be carnally minded is death, to be Spiritually minded is life! (vs6) The flesh is already dead in the sense that it’s separated from God, (vs10) however when you crucify the flesh and make your body your servant in Christ the Spirit will give life to your mortal bodies (vs11) so you can use this mortal body for the purpose of serving God. In the end however the body must die because it still has sin in it but the Spirit won’t die because the Spirit is Christ. (2Cor3:17) The soul who’s united to Christ’s Spirit will never taste of death, he’ll never lose the presence of Christ because Jesus said He’ll be with you always (Mt28:20) as long as you’re with Him always. (Jn12:26) That has to be the most important blessing of all the wonderful gifts we have in Christ!

It’s a grievous sin to make the gospel too easy. When you make the gospel too easy the flesh doesn’t get crucified and you’ve undermined God’s purposes and the process of salvation. If you make the gospel too easy you make the cross of no effect. (1Cor1:17) The gospel is the power of God unto salvation only if it crucifies the flesh. (Rom1:16) If your traditions have made the Word of God of no effect, then you worship God in vain. Thus you’ve made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: “These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”  (Mt15:6-9) The power of the gospel to save depends upon the preaching of the cross which must crucify your flesh. So it’s a fatal error to make the gospel too easy since to do so makes the cross of no effect (1Cor1:17) and eviscerates the gospel of its power to save. Yet “easy believism” is the most common form of erroneous “christianity” today because there are so many “man pleasers” and false preachers who like to magnify the blessings of salvation without preaching the requirements like, “Pick up your cross and follow Me!” (Mt16:24) They fulfill the prophecy The time will come when they’ll not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they’ll heap up for themselves teachers; and they’ll turn their ears away from the Truth, and be turned aside to fables. (2Tim4:3,4) Fables like “once saved/always saved,” or Jesus was holy so I don’t have to be holy. Whereas God says, “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it’s written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’” (1Pt1:15,16) If you’re to be saved, your flesh has to die. Your flesh must be crucified if you’re to become Spiritual. And that’s the battle we’ve had to fight with all the false and carnal “christians.” I’ve been fighting the “ites” for 15 years. The Jebusites, Hivites, Hittites, and the Jonathanites, Rubenites, Jeffreyites, Joshites, Laurieites, and Brendaites. I’ve been fighting to get you into the Spirit where you’re flesh is crucified; striking with the sword of the Spirit again and again until the Word has its proper effect on you and finally convinces you to crucify your flesh. Put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph4:22-24) You must put to death your flesh, put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit if you want to live. (Rom8:13) You must do this so you can enter into the righteousness of God which comes by faith. (Phil 3:9) For I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it’s the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it’s written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Rom1:16,17) And the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Rom8:10) Any fool can mess up the gospel by making it too easy but here’s why you can’t make it too hard. You shoot a man and he dies and it took one bullet to kill him. It doesn’t matter if you shoot him a hundred times more, you haven’t done anything meaningful to him after that first bullet. Once the gospel’s had its effect and your flesh is crucified, no one can hurt you any more. There’s nothing I can do to make the gospel too hard because it can’t hurt the New Man no matter how difficult it is. The New Man is raised with Christ far above anything in this world. (Eph2:5,6) The gospel can only be hard on the “old man.” And once your “old man” is dead there’s no more anyone can do to him. It’s impossible to make the gospel harder than it is because if it’s hard enough to kill the old man as it must be then once he’s dead nothing else can affect him. The people who complain we’re making the gospel too hard are trying to save their old man – save their life not lose it! For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. (Mt16:25) It’s a wicked lie when people say, “You’re making the gospel too hard.” It’s impossible to make it too hard. It has to be hard enough to kill the old man, and that’s how hard it is. Once that’s done the old man can’t feel anything anymore. There’s no more you can do to him. No matter how much you try, no matter how many times you strike him he won’t feel it. If he’s dead he’s past the point of feeling! So there’s no way to make the gospel too hard, if it’s the true gospel. The danger isn’t in making it too hard. Don’t withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he won’t die. (Pr23:13) If you love your child and want to help him don’t be afraid of overly hurting him but be afraid of not saving him. If you don’t correct him effectually, he’ll die! Therefore when a righteous person chastens his child the tendency to err isn’t that he’ll be too hard, but that he won’t be hard enough! The gospel will save you only if it’s hard enough to crucify you. The easy gospel causes people to be lost not saved! These so called “believers” who complain the gospel is too hard don’t want their old man to be crucified. They want a gospel that lets the old man live. These are those who live in pleasure and are dead while they live! (1Tim5:6) They won’t escape the pangs of death because they don’t have the Spirit or the presence of God. Although their body still functions, spiritually they’re already dead and when their body dies they’ll realize how dead (separated from God) they are. As for the true saints, we’re already communing with God while our body still functions but when it stops functioning (dies) our connection to God will still be intact! And that’s where our true life is. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col 3:3) We’ll never taste death because in Jesus we’ve already died when He tasted death for us, (Heb2:9) and when we entered into His death through baptism (Rom6:3) and the crucifying of our flesh. (Rom8:13)

The sinner is dead to God. He has no recognition of God or the presence of God, for he only relates to this world. But when his body dies he’s totally cut off from everything he knows so he’s not only separated from God but now he’s separated from everything in this world. Since this world was the only thing he could commune or have relation with now he’s completely desolate. He has no connection now to anyone or anything and he falls into hell, utterly alone. (Though thousands may be falling into hell at the same time, none of them have any consciousness of each other. They’re no longer physical beings but disembodied spirits now and in that state they can’t relate to each other – therefore each is completely alone.) Even before a Spiritual saint’s body dies we already have a real experience of the presence of God and a real sense of being cut off from the world. So when our body dies and we’re fully cut off from the world all that does is make our recognition of the presence of God that much stronger. We won’t be desolate in any way. We’ll actually be enlarged by the fact that the world is completely out of our way and we can now experience and enjoy God’s presence without any physical distractions. So the death of a sinner is awful whereas the death of a saint is awesome for we enter right into the glory, right into the fullness of God. Whereas the sinner experiences an immediate and terrifying separation from everything he’s ever been connected to, true believers enter into the fullness of everything we’ve been connected with all along – the righteousness of God – the presence of Christ! These are the very things we’re already experiencing and delighting in as for example when Jesus woke me up this morning with, And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (Rom8:10) Which He then expanded into this teaching you’ve just received by way of the Spirit in me being life because of the righteousness of Christ in Me!

Prophecy: My people, My love is your light. When Christ dwells in your heart by faith, you’ll be filled with the love of God that passes knowledge. That love is your life. When you’re walking in the Spirit, you’re walking in My love and you’re walking in My light and you can see. And what you’re seeing is that which pertains to blessing your neighbor, and your brethren. And as you see in My light what blesses others you’re also able to see the traps and the snares that would cause you to stumble, and you’re able to avoid those things. So in seeing what blesses others you’re blessed yourself. But when you don’t walk in My love, you don’t see and you aren’t considerate of your neighbor or your brethren, and you don’t do those things which are a blessing unto them. And your blindness isn’t just towards them, but you also don’t see the things that would cause you to stumble, or the things that are needful to your salvation, to your good blessing, to your success and your victory. But when you enter into My love and gaze upon your brethren with eyes to do the things that will bless them, your eyes are also opened to see the things which pertain to your own benefit. For that’s the way of My love and that’s the way of My light, and you can’t be blind to your brother’s needs without being blinded to your own good will too. But neither can your eyes be opened to that which is a blessing to your brother without your eyes being opened also to that which would be for your own good, thus saith the Lord.

Prophecy: I’ve said in My Word that where sin abounds grace does much more abound. The ungodly, the false, and the hypocrites who claim to be Christians think that means that the more they sin the more I forgive, because that’s all they see as grace. But in the very place where I said where sin abounds grace much more abounds, I also said that My people reign in life through Christ. The clear meaning of My grace abounding is that even in a perilous time, such as you now live in, there’s sufficient grace for you to be pure and to keep yourself pure, and to reign over abounding sin because you have an abounding grace. For I’m giving you an abounding grace to overcome the sin around you that you may be a people pure in heart, and holy unto Me, saith the Lord.

Prophecy: Thus saith the Lord, the wicked can’t understand. The wicked don’t want to understand. The inner purpose of the wicked is to serve themselves. So they search the scriptures to find verses to back up their own arguments. They’re not seeking Truth, they’re seeking justification. When they find a likely verse they grab it and they use it for their own purposes. They don’t look to see if what they’re doing is right or if they’re interpreting right because they’re not interested in Truth they’re interested in backing up their own arguments. Therefore they abuse everything and use everything wrongly. That’s because they’re wicked. The righteous on the other hand don’t come with a predisposition, they don’t come saying, “Prove me right.” They come saying, “Show me what’s right.” So they look with honest eyes to the Truth and I show them the Truth and they’re cleansed by what I show them. There’s no communion between light and darkness, and there’s nothing in common between those who come to the scriptures to justify themselves, and to back up their own arguments versus those who are Mine who come to learn how they may do right, saith the Lord.

Prophecy: I haven’t come to condemn you. You were already condemned before I came. I’ve come to show you the better way. Why am I showing you the better way? Why am I showing you the way you’re doing it isn’t working except to call you to the way that does work? Do I do this because I hate you, because I want to destroy you? My people, I love your souls better than you love your own souls! I care for your souls better than you care for them! Would that you had it in you to love your own soul and care for your own soul in such way as you would keep your soul! But this I say to you, if you’ll let Jesus live in you He’ll keep your soul; He’ll care for your soul in a way that will work, in a way that will actually save you; in a way that’s better than you can care for yourself. And that’s why you need Him. Because you aren’t even good enough at caring for your own soul to do the job yourself. You don’t even care enough about yourself to save yourself. That’s why I’m showing you the better way, that’s why I’m offering to form Christ in you! Because Christ will guard your soul like the precious jewel that it is. He’ll save your soul, He’ll keep your soul for My eternal Kingdom. He’ll do it if you call upon Him to live His life in you. Let Jesus be your effectual Savior, saith the Lord.
