Strong Is The Lord! By Pastor Bill Taylor A publication of My Father's House, inc. Volume 10/ Issue 9 Prophecy: I’m not a Father who forces My children to do the things I’ve taught you to do. I’ve taught you to keep your heart with all diligence. And also, I keep you when you do. But I don’t force you to do it. For this is something you must consciously choose to do. You must set your heart to obey Me, to honor Me, to do the things I’ve called you to do. You must set your heart to watch and pray, for you are your brother’s keeper. I don’t force you to do it, but it must be in your heart because you set your heart to do it. When you set your heart to do what I’ve shown you to do, then out of your heart will flow the good things of My Spirit. My Spirit will be with you and My latter rain will pour out upon you when you set your heart to do what’s right. You know what you need to do, now go and do it; and when you do it, I set My heart to bless you. If you’re not blessed it’s because you haven’t set your heart to do what’s right. And I’ll have a church, a glorious bride for My Son, blessed of the Father, of Christ and of the Holy Spirit because she sets her heart to love Me; and it’s with all her heart, all her mind, all her soul, all her strength. When you set your heart to love Me in this way, I’ll perfect you, establish you, strengthen you, and settle you. And it will be a joy for you to know Me and to glorify Me and I’ll glorify you and bless you abundantly in every way, saith the Lord. (Prophecy delivered at “My Father’s House”) Believe! Are you one who must see before you believe? If that’s so, you aren’t of Abraham’s Seed. Abraham believed, “If God said it, it’s true” When God promised, “I’ll bless and multiply you.” How many promises has God given today? When He speaks through His servants, do you obey? It’s not just the Bible that’s God’s Word for you, Words spoken by His people through His Spirit are true. By faith you take hold to believe and receive By God’s grace and His help you can be sons indeed. Jesus has sent His Helper to you Receive Him by faith in all that you do. Jesus has promised His bride will be glorious Put down your flesh and in Christ be victorious. (Prophetic poem delivered at “My Father’s House” by B. Kerr) Strong is the Lord! Pull me out of the net which they’ve secretly laid for me, for You are my strength. (Ps31:4) It takes strength to pull someone out of a net. The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He’s their strength in time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He’ll deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. (Ps37:39,40) If we’re saved it’s because God has used His strength to save us. We can’t be saved apart from His strength, and we must consciously depend on His strength to keep us. And my speech and my preaching weren’t with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith shouldn’t be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1Cor2:4,5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1Pt1:5) God’s strength is often hidden. If the enemy could see God’s strength, he wouldn’t come against it. It would be foolish of him to attack one of God’s people if he could see he was actually taking on the Almighty God. The enemy thinks he’s only attacking you and you’re helpless, harmless, hopeless, so he thinks he has the power to enforce his will upon you. He doesn’t realize he’s coming against God when he comes against a saint. For thus says the LORD of hosts, “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” (Zec2:8) As you trust in God to deliver you, you’ll not be disappointed. So we may boldly say, “The LORD is my helper; I’ll not fear. What can man do to me?” (Heb13:6) But your deliverance will come in the way God ordains. If we ask anything according to the will of God, He hears us. (1Jn5:14) One thing that’s absolutely the will of God is that all things be brought into submission to Christ. Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him. (Eph1:9,10) And God has certainly given Jesus the power to accomplish this. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:9-11) The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church. (Eph1:18-22) Therefore whenever something resists the will of God, it’s right to pray for Jesus to subdue it and bring it into submission. According to the working by which He’s able even to subdue all things to Himself. (Phil 3:21) It’s God’s will that Jesus bring all things under obedience. Now this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know He hears us, whatever we ask, we know we have the petitions we’ve asked of Him. (1Jn5:14,15) We can have complete confidence that when we pray for Christ to bring all things into submission we’re praying God’s will and that’s what God has ordained to happen. Since we’re praying accurately according to God’s will therefore our prayers will be effectual in subduing the things resisting God’s will. That you may know what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power. (Eph1:19) God wants us to have a clear understanding of His power and how it’s to be used, so we can ask of Him and have a strong faith He’ll use it on behalf of the saints and the interests of the Kingdom. The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He’s their strength in time of trouble. (Ps37:39) Understanding He’s our strength is essential to our salvation. Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Eph6:10,11) To stand victoriously against the devil you must have the armor of God. But Paul doesn’t say the armor alone will enable you to stand. “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” Armor is your protection, but before the armor can do you any good you have to stand and it takes strength to stand. So the most important thing is to be strong in the Lord. God is your strength. Unless you recognize Him as the source of your power you’ll be overcome in the time of trouble. Only those who go to God in faith will overcome. “Believers” who trust in their own strength always find it will fail them. Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I’ll never be made to stumble.” Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, this night, before the rooster crows, you’ll deny Me three times.” Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I won’t deny You!” And so said all the disciples. Then he (Peter) began to curse and swear, saying, “I don’t know the Man!” Immediately a rooster crowed. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you’ll deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly. (Mt26:33-35,74,75) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I don’t find. (Rom7:18) Now to Him who’s able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, (Jude24) Why is God able to keep you from stumbling? Because His Spirit is stronger than sin, deception and darkness. I say then, “Walk in the Spirit, and you’ll not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Gal 5:16) In Him you can overcome all the devil’s tricks. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who’s in you is greater than he who’s in the world. (1Jn4:4) It’s His strength that gives the victory by your abiding in Him and being strong in Him. It’s typical of the wicked to rush to judgment, hasten to shed innocent blood, falsely accuse and jump to wrong conclusions. (Rom3:10-18) People in the flesh behave like that, and the devil uses their ungodly behavior to try to make you stumble because of the unjust things evil people may do to you. But the power of God can strengthen you so you won’t sin. “Be angry and don’t sin!” (Eph4:26) Through God’s power you can resist the temptation to return evil for evil and even overcome evil with good! (Rom12:21) For if you live according to the flesh you’ll die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you’ll live. (Rom8:13) It’s because the Spirit’s stronger than the flesh that you can “by the Spirit put to death the deeds of the body.” Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Eph6:10) Only those who truly know God can be strong in the Lord. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You’ve sent. (Jn17:3) That’s why if you want to be “saved” you must attend a church where they can teach you to know God personally yourself. By the Scriptures, you can know “I shouldn’t do that,” but by knowing God you can receive the power to do right. Only those who know the Lord can call upon Him and receive His power. Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD. (1Sam30:6) How did David strengthen himself in the Lord? As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the LORD is proven; He’s a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the LORD? And who’s a rock, except our God? It’s God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You’ve also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me; so my feet didn’t slip. For You’ve armed me with strength for the battle; You’ve subdued under me those who rose up against me. (Ps18:30-36,39) David recognizes God as the source of all his strength and skill. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion; may He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He’ll answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Save, LORD! May the King answer us when we call. (Ps20:1-3,6,9) Also David calls upon the Lord, and recognizes when the Lord answers. But You, O LORD, do not be far from Me; O My Strength, hasten to help Me! Save Me from the lion’s mouth and from the horns of the wild oxen! You’ve answered Me! (Ps22:19,21) In the New Testament Paul says, Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom10:13) For the Lord is rich to all who call upon Him. (v12) We who are “saved” are kept by the power (strength) of God through faith for salvation (1Pt1:5) Because we have “faith” when we encounter enemies like the flesh or worldly temptations, we know calling upon the Lord for His strength is the way to overcome. You’re of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who’s in you is greater than he who’s in the world. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith. (1Jn4:4;5:4) When you call upon the Lord in faith, His Spirit strengthens you. As David says, When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I’ll seek.” Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He’ll strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! (Ps27:8,14) So seek the Lord, and wait for His help. Don’t take matters into your own hands in the hastiness of the flesh. While you’re waiting it’s good to remind yourself of what’s available to you in God; refreshing yourself in His promises. But you can receive the fulfillment of His promises only by calling upon the Lord in faith. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob defend you; may He send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion. (Ps20:1,2) But Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God. And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches. And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem. So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily. (Act15:40,41;16:4,5) David calls upon the Lord to strengthen us “out of Zion.” In the New Covenant, Zion represents Christ’s church. Then in the book of Acts we see the New Testament churches and believers are strengthened when God sends apostles, men of God “out of Zion,” to speak God’s Truth to them. The believers are strengthened by the “words” they hear! What do you need God’s strength for unless you have a problem that’s bigger than you? There’s something attacking you, something trying to cause you to sin, something you need to overcome that’s more than you can handle on your own? It’s when you’re facing something stronger than you are that you need to call upon the Lord for His strength. Paul calls this the “evil day,” Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph6:13) This passage begins with being strong in the Lord. It centers on the armor of God. But it ends with praying with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit. (v18) It starts with, be strong in the Lord – ends with praying in the Spirit so you can stand in the evil day. So praying in the Spirit is another way to take hold of God’s strength. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude20,21) Do you actually do this, or is it something you talk about in church but forget in everyday life? Because the failure with most “christians” these days is, they hear but don’t do. But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (Jms1:22) The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; (because) He’s their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He’ll deliver them from the wicked, and save them. (Ps37:39,40) That God will deliver us from the wicked includes His protecting us from every expression of satan’s power; the flesh, the world, temptation or any evil thing which satan has designed to entrap us and destroy our souls. I don’t pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. (Jn17:15) Those who trust in the Lord will actually turn to the Lord when they encounter the enemy’s attack. The righteous always call upon the Lord when we’re tempted or afflicted because we know we can’t overcome in our own strength. For we know the law is Spiritual, but I’m carnal, sold under sin. For what I’m doing, I don’t understand. For what I will to do, that I don’t practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it’s good. But now, it’s no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I don’t find. For the good that I will to do, I don’t do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it’s no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. (Rom7:14-20) Without the Spirit, “sin” is stronger than I am. But the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Rom8:2) To set us free, the Spirit of life in Christ has to be stronger than sin and death. And what distinguishes us as the true saints is we’ve taken hold of the stronger one. Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he’ll plunder his house. (Mt12:29) Satan and sin are stronger than I am. But Jesus and the Holy Spirit are stronger than satan and sin. So when I call upon the Lord to deliver me, He gives me the strength of His own Spirit, who is “God with me” and by His presence in me He makes me stronger than satan and sin. Instead of going to God for help however, like unbelievers, many who profess to be “saved” never demonstrate any faith in God to solve their problems. They go to politicians, lawyers, co-workers, government authorities, psychiatrists, endless numbers of counselors. You’re wearied in the multitude of your counsels; (Is47:13a) They go to friends, relatives, ear ticklers of every sort to excuse their sins and justify themselves. They’ll use any carnal thing they can to try to cover up, gain an advantage in or get out of a bad situation. They may even resort to lying and cheating, which truly demonstrates who their father is. You’re of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the Truth, because there’s no Truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he’s a liar and the father of it. (Jn8:44) But none of the many things such people run to can really help because they aren’t of God. “Apart from Me you can do nothing!” (Jn15:5b) Eventually every false god men trust in will fail them. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. (Ps20:7) The true saint goes to the Lord. It should always be our first thought to go to the Lord. And the true believers don’t wait for a time of trouble to get to know the Lord. It’s been said there are no atheists in foxholes. But often the people who are praying in the foxholes are of the category, “Because I called and you didn’t answer, you’re going to call and I won’t answer.” (Pr1:24-30) The people who God hears and helps when they call upon Him are the ones who maintain a continual communion with Him. (1Th5:17) Even when there’s no immediate trouble, no enemy standing at the door, I still need to spend quality time in devotions with God. It’s that first hour in the morning when Christ is put on for the rest of the day, where you take hold of God in the Spirit, love Him, and can then be led by Him in everything the coming hours may require of you. And even when it doesn’t seem to be a perilous time to my eye, there are still many worthy things to bring before the Lord in intercession; things to learn of Him, things to ask of Him to help me to order my life rightly so I can be fruitful and serve God effectually. Often though it may not be a troublesome time concerning me, it’s a very dangerous time to someone I’m praying for; and I must be led by the Spirit so I’m doing a worthwhile part in helping my needy brother. So everyday is the time to call upon the Lord. For He says: “In an acceptable time I’ve heard you, and in the day of salvation I’ve helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2Cor6:2) I can’t remember a day since I came to know Jesus, that I haven’t called upon Him often; I can’t remember a day recently that I haven’t talked to God a lot, (1Th5:17) which doesn’t mean I’m satisfied to have attained the perfect communion Christ always demonstrated with His heavenly Father. I’m not satisfied. I’m still pressing towards more and better fellowship with God in Christ. The only thing that keeps us from having more is not having the faith Christ had – more faith, more God! More faith, more of God’s Spirit, and more Spirit, more life; and more life means more wisdom, more strength and more fruit! Do you want that? It’s right here for you; all you have to do is take hold of Christ by faith! The Lord is my strength isn’t true unless you actually call upon Him for the strength you need to be what He wants you to be. Otherwise you’re just saying it but it isn’t manifesting as anything real in you! The Lord is my strength because I know I need Him, therefore, I call upon Him often to strengthen me; I call upon Him to show me what to do; I call on Him to guide me, and He always does! The testimonies of what God does may not always seem spectacular, but the things He does are always needful! Today, for example, was my son’s birthday, and I had some errands I had to run. I needed to get to the bank and do some shopping. But I also knew Elie, my wife, wanted to bake a cake and if she was running with me that would get in her way. So when I went to bed last night, I prayed about it and although to me it looked like in some of the things I had to do it would be helpful if Elie was with me, still God showed me to run the errands by myself so Elie could have the afternoon to bake the cake! Now, there’s not a spectacular big testimony in that. It wasn’t a seemingly great thing. But what are the results of being led by the Spirit in little things like that? Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (Jms3:18) It can make the whole day better for everybody. And the Christ-life is to be led by the Spirit in such a way that you’re continually seeking the Lord to show you a better way and to show you when and what to do. So by faith you’re receiving the power of God to do what needs to be done. Today then, the power of God got me up earlier than usual so I’d have time to do the needful things by myself. The wisdom of God showed me I could cancel one of the stops because it could be done another time. And because of Christ’s Spirit, the whole day came together peaceably. Elie’s day is peaceful and my day is peaceful and my son’s day is good because we let the Spirit lead. And that’s what we do everyday, and that’s what you should be doing; because if you follow the Spirit, He’ll put things in order so everyone can be benefited. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (Jn14:27) He’ll give you both the power and wisdom to do all that needs to be done to the glory of God. And your life will fit together with the lives of the other saints in a peaceable way that everybody can be blessed. That’s what the power of God does, whereas, the power of satan always upsets everybody, always creates disturbances and interruptions and problems for other people. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. (Jms3:15,16) So, which do you prefer? You can see how much better God’s way is, but are you actually making Him your strength, making Him your wisdom? (v17) Are you actually calling upon Him, meeting with Him in the secret place, trusting in His wisdom to order your day? Because that’s the reality of making God your strength. If this isn’t happening, all you have is just words; you don’t have the Spirit. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. (1Cor2:4) When God judges Babylon He says, “Therefore her plagues will come in one day--death and mourning and famine. And she’ll be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.” (Rev18:8) This swift and overwhelming judgment is an evidence of God’s strength. But God’s strength isn’t always visible. His strength is hidden in the clouds (Ps68:34); if His strength weren’t hidden (Hab3:4) His enemies wouldn’t be foolish enough to attack Him. Yet even though His strength may be unseen it is awesomely preeminent over all things – God has created all things, He has the power to uphold all things (Heb1:3) and to deal with them appropriately if they get out of order. God speaks of His giving strength to the horse, (Job39:19) and even describes some creatures that appear to be equal in size and power to the dinosaurs – Leviathan (Job41) and Behemoth (Job40:15-24). It’s doubtful there was any real understanding of the fossil record in the days of Job, thus it’s an amazing thing that creatures like these could be described; and in the way the Bible speaks of them, they must have been known to at least some human beings who could report of them to others. There’s at least one site in North America where fossilized human footprints are found co-mingled with dinosaur tracks. A fact that Darwin freaks don’t like to talk about! If you study biblical genealogies from Noah through to Abraham, you’ll be surprised to find at least one of Noah’s sons was still alive even after Abraham was dead. Job is considered to be a contemporary of Abraham. He lived long before Moses’ time. The type of society described in Job is patriarchal and very similar to what went on in the days of Abraham. The comforters speak of having men with them that are more aged than Job and very wise. (Job15:10) It’s possible they’ve even seen and spoken with one or more of the sons of Noah. And that could very well be why there’s an understanding of the dinosaurs, because it seems these awesome creatures existed in the time of early man. The land dwellers must have been wiped out previous to Noah’s flood. But any aquatic survivors may have been killed by the ancient peoples, as Goliath and the other giants were finally wiped out in David’s time. One thing is for sure, somebody back then knew about them, because they’re described in the Bible. But the main point of what we’re saying is, the God who created these great and extraordinary beasts and who gave the horse his strength has to be stronger than anything and everything He’s created. Man doesn’t create; he only reassembles what God has created. Therefore man can put things together that are stronger than himself because the things he’s building were originally created by God who’s stronger than all. But God is the source of the strength in all things that He’s created, therefore His strength must far surpass the sum total of all the power He’s put into His creation. Consider an atomic bomb, the explosion is caused by the breaking apart of the pieces of an atom. When the strong bonds that hold those sub-atomic particles together are broken the release of that now unfettered power produces the extraordinary explosion. You can see how much power was holding those protons and electrons together when you see the tremendous fireball caused by its release. It’s God who put that power there to hold those atoms together. And the extraordinary power of the atomic bomb is just a whisper of God’s strength. So again, God can never be weaker than His own creation. There’s a power of darkness. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. (Act26:17,18) As Jesus is being arrested He says, This is your hour, and the power of darkness. (Lk22:53) So darkness has power, but the power of darkness can’t be stronger than God who created all things. And not only is God much stronger than the power of darkness but even light which was created by God is stronger than darkness. So darkness can only “be strong” when the stronger thing “light” isn’t present. In this, light and darkness have an identical relationship to Truth and lies. The only reason a present lie can exist is for the lack of present Truth. (See our previous Glory of His Grace publication, “Present Truth.”) The lie has some power, but only until it’s overcome by the greater power of godly Truth. Right now in contemporary society, a very prevalent present lie is that homosexuality isn’t sin and is acceptable as a lifestyle. The Truth of God’s Word says homosexuality is a terrible sin and deserving of death. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It’s an abomination. It’s perversion. Don’t defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I’m casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people. (cut off means put to death.) (Lev18:22-29) Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. (Rom1:27,32) Present Truths are eternal Truths that need to be emphasized now to oppose a present lie. That homosexuality is a sin deserving of death is God’s Word – an eternal Truth that modern society has rejected and needs to be reminded of. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. (Mt24:35) That homosexuality is a grievous sin is a fundamental Truth of Christian morality. But this immutable Bible Truth has to be “shouted from the roof tops” (Mt10:27) to expose why the present lie, in which the sin of homosexuality has become so widely accepted as a permissible alternate lifestyle is terribly wrong. By condoning what God so righteously condemns modern society is spitting in the face of God. What’s even worse is that many contemporary “churches” and so-called “christians” are falling for this lie. The Truth of what God’s Word says about this must be made known in the present if God’s elect people are to be protected from the lie. We know that we’re of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. (1Jn5:19) So-called “churches” and “believers” who are following the present lie are obviously not of God, but of the world and under satan’s sway. Again, the devil took Him (Jesus) up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I’ll give You if You’ll fall down and worship me.” (Mt4:8,9) And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I’ll give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.” (Lk4:6) Remember Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles, To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan (which is the power of darkness) to God. (Act26:18) The reason the present lie is so widely believed isn’t because the wicked among the common people are the first to proclaim it. The plebes and the peons aren’t the ones who first exalt the present lie. Generally speaking, no one pays much attention to them. They rarely have the power of the media behind them, and they’re not able to proclaim their beliefs from a high tower where many would listen to them as from a high position of authority or power. When the devil says, “This authority has been given to me,” he’s referring to when Adam gave his power to satan in the garden of Eden after God had given all dominion in the earth to men. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Gen1:26) Adam by knowingly succumbing to satan’s will, lost that dominion and took all mankind with him into bondage to sin. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived fell into transgression. (1Tim2:14) While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he’s brought into bondage. (2Pt2:19) So because satan gained the ascendancy over mankind in Adam, satan now holds sway over the whole world. Even Levi who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him. (Heb7:9,10) So Levi is inferior to Melchizedek because he paid tithes to him in Abraham. And if Levi was in Abraham’s loins and therefore is subservient to Melchizedek, then all mankind (excepting Christ who was born of the Holy Spirit) was in the loins of Adam and therefore fell into subservience to satan in Adam’s fall. Now, the present lie that homosexuality is not a sin didn’t derive from the opinions of the grass roots people who, for the most part, abhorred homosexuals until very recently. That lie has been promoted by high-level, rich and powerful movie and communications people, literary people, fashion leaders, and various authorities in high places. For we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly (high) places. (Eph6:12) Of course, many of those who are promoting this present lie are themselves homosexuals. But there are also “straight” people in these high places who are well aware of what the Scriptures say about homosexuality. However, they either hate God or they aren’t willing to become a target of the wrath of the devil by standing up for the Truth of God’s Word against the present lie. For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels. (Lk9:26) Now that the lie is popular, it’s very costly to oppose it. Remember Anita Bryant? She was a movie star and spokeswoman for the Florida Citrus industry until her outspoken stand against homosexuality cost her, her career. Being unwilling to pay the price of standing for righteousness, most people in a cowardly way choose to cooperate with those promoting the present lie, or at least not to oppose it, even though they know it’s wrong! That’s also the reason Nazism prevailed in Germany. It’s the reason why the “Once Saved/Always Saved” lie reigns in the heretical Baptist church. Many “Baptists” know “Once Saved/Always Saved” is an unscriptural lie against God’s Word, but they won’t pay the price to stand against it, since they’d lose their place or position in the Baptist society if they did. Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they didn’t confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. (Jn12:42,43) So many lies prevail in heretical churches because of cowards who won’t stand up for God’s Truth. Today the power structure in the U.S.A. favors homosexuality. Therefore, if you want to be successful here, you better go along with the present lie, because if you oppose it you become an enemy to the earthly powers that be, which have their authority from satan. Now, this is an awesome subject. Even in the book of Revelation, the temporary supremacy of the beast and the false prophet derive from this same evil influence that satan exercises over the world. The majority of the world’s people will follow him for the same reasons they’ve now succumbed to the present lie about homosexuality. And we can see in the Scriptures that God will permit evil to have a season of success in order to test the world. Because you’ve kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Rev3:10) But that season will soon end and the almighty power of God will then reign supreme. But in the season when evil is permitted by God to hold sway, the ten horns in Revelation give their power to the beast. So the power of the beast and the false prophet who’ll be ruling the world for that time, derives from satan’s having sway over this world. And the powers of darkness rule because the majority of people in this world don’t know or believe what the Bible says. Even most so-called “christians” won’t take the time to read the Bible. They aren’t like the Bereans. The Bereans were called noble by God because they investigated to see for themselves if the things being preached by Paul were true according to the Scriptures. (Act17:10,11) The vast majority of even “christians” today won’t look at the Scriptures to see what God says. They just go along with the flow. Whatever becomes the popular line they join in with it, even if it’s a lie. And even many who know the Truth are too cowardly to stand up for what’s right because to stand against the lie is to make yourself a target and a victim of many foolish and wicked people who are under the power of satan. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Rev21:8) Cowards won’t “lose their lives to save their lives.” They prefer immediate pleasures, successes and comforts to suffering for God; thus they can’t be “saved.” Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Mt16:24,25) If the positions of authority and the kingdoms of this world were administered by godly people, lies would never be tolerated. God does have a higher power than the power of the devil, but the power of the devil is real and it’s a power that operates in a place of God tolerating it. God has the far greater power and will soon put satan’s evil to an end, but for the meantime for very good reasons, He permits it. (See our previous Glory of His Grace publication “Resurrection Perfection” for a deeper explanation of this.) God doesn’t want us to do wrong. He may allow evil for a season in which He gives us space to repent rather than destroy us. Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing the goodness of God leads you to repentance? (Rom2:4) If God didn’t want us to do right, He wouldn’t have given us His Word to show us His righteous will. So what’s going on is an evidence of the world’s separation from God, because it isn’t God’s will the world and the devil are doing. It’s not what God would do if His people were in power and authority. But God has stepped out of the way, in a sense, and He’s allowing the devil to do what the devil wants in a limited way, so satan can expose himself and the wickedness of sin and the wickedness of satan’s people. Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. (Rom7:13) But God won’t allow the devil to subvert the faith of God’s true elect. Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1Pt1:5) If God’s people held the positions of authority, there’d be no present lie, because God’s people would uphold the Truth and publish the Truth as, for example, that homosexuality is a sin – God says so! In order for this sweeping lie “that homosexuality is okay” to have taken over so much of the world, the devil had to give his authority to people who’d work for him and raise them up into prominent positions where they could espouse his lies. For whatever reasons most people follow the devil, they do; whether it’s passive or active. They may do it out of ignorance, or they may do it out of selfishness, seeking personal gain. They may do it just so they don’t end up being persecuted for opposing what’s popular. Or because they want to be accepted by the “in groups.” But such are all the devil’s people! And lies prevail because of a lack of light. Most so-called “churches” are filled with darkness today because, being ignorant of God’s Truths they have no light. God’s Word is light! (Ps119:105,130) The world is filled with darkness because there’s a lack of light. What it takes to get rid of the darkness is for someone to stand up and say what God says. But who are the people God chooses to stand up for His Word – are they presidents and kings? NO! They’re usually obscure and humble men. For you see your calling brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. (1Cor1:26,27) Look at who Jesus chose to be His apostles: fishermen, publicans. He chose seemingly unimportant, insignificant men, not the powerful, rich or famous. God is bringing down the pride and the worldly wisdom of the high and mighty by using the very things they consider unimpressive to expose them and overcome them. But although God has the ultimate power to raise up or put down, it’s evident that for the most part, the kingdoms of this world and their positions are distributed by the devil because we can see the people who hold these positions are promoting the devil’s present lies, and they’re serving themselves not God. If you wish to be accepted by this world which is under satan’s sway, then you need to make your deal with the devil, bow the knee to him, and do what Jesus wouldn’t do. Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I’ll give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You’ll worship before me, all will be Yours.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it’s written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” (Lk4:5-8) But if you choose to oppose the devil, he’ll try to do to you what he did to Jesus; he’ll try to crucify you! If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you’re not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. They’ll put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming whoever kills you will think he offers God service. (Jn15:19;16:2) This is why Jesus says, “If you want to be My disciple you must lose your life to save it.” (Lk17:33) You’ll lose your soul if to save your life you serve Hitler; what he’ll require you to do will cause irreparable damage to your soul. To save your soul, you must stand up against Hitler and even let him kill you, because losing your temporal life by disobeying Hitler is better than trying to save your life by obeying him. Hitler was a type of antichrist and, Little children, it’s the last hour; and as you’ve heard antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know it’s the last hour. (1Jn2:18) If you lose your life rather than cooperate with satan’s minions you’ll save your soul. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. (Jn12:25) So the one who loses his temporal life saves his eternal life. The true Christian understands this. Even though the powers in this world are antichrist and there be no profit in this world in disagreeing with them, Jesus’ people still choose to openly oppose the antichrists and their lies. Jesus’ people will stand up against the present lie and speak the present Truth. The world can’t hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly I’m a King. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I’ve come into the world, that I should bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who’s of the Truth hears My voice.” (Jn7:7;18:37) But speaking the Truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who’s the Head -- Christ -- (Eph4:15) Jesus has promised us the ultimate victory, that even if we lose our temporal life for Him, we save our eternal life. In the end we’ll be victorious. Because what the wicked and ignorant people of this world don’t understand is the powers that be operate only by the temporary license of God, by the longsuffering and mercy of God and not because they’re stronger than Him. God allows evil a short season for the good purpose of separating wheat from chaff, and to distinguish the truly righteous from those who are only good when it’s in their selfish interest to be good as opposed to those who really love God and they love good and it doesn’t matter if they lose everything they’ll still serve God and side with good. God will only allow such truly righteous people in His Kingdom. So He permits this test to go on for a time in every generation. Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, and say, “If we’d lived in the days of our fathers, we wouldn’t have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.” Therefore you’re witnesses against yourselves that you’re sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell? Therefore indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you’ll kill and crucify, and some you’ll scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. (Mt23:29-36) Thus in every generation and every nation, there’ll be hypocrites who pretend they’re lovers of good and who’ll put on a show of venerating the ancient “saints” and siding with the righteous of the past. But they do this only to deceive, that they may appear to be “good” before men today and selfishly gain power and authority to use for their own present evil purposes. And God permits them a temporary success. But He’ll also expose them by presenting them with “present day saints” and righteous men who they’ll treat as badly as their fathers treated the ancient saints. Thus they’ll be seen for what they really are, and God will be justified in righteously judging and destroying these hypocritically wicked when He suddenly ends their temporary season of power and success. Therefore her plagues will come in one day -- death and mourning and famine! And she’ll be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. (Rev18:8) Don’t think God is winning this battle with evil little by little, as though His strength is just slightly stronger than satan’s and so He must painstakingly overcome the enemy by striving over long eras! NO! Darkness is immediately destroyed as soon as light appears. The power of darkness exists only in the absence of light. And the evil of this world will be completely destroyed in one day. The power of God is so awesome, once He acts nothing can resist or hinder Him at all. Babylon falls in one hour. The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, “Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.” For in one hour such great riches came to nothing. (Rev18:9,10,17a) The saints understand this. The patience of the saints is to continue doing good even while evil reigns, knowing God will eventually and suddenly move to bring all wickedness to an end. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Rev13:10) The wickedness of this world is coming to an end for strong is the Lord. The wicked may think they’re strong because they’ve been temporarily allowed to be in control, but they haven’t yet run into the One from whom all strength derives. And when they encounter the real God they’ll suddenly realize they aren’t strong, He’s strong! God is the ultimate judge who’ll bring every work into judgment, and how could that be unless He was strong enough to capture and imprison every enemy? No one will escape His judgment; the devil won’t escape it; the false prophet(s) won’t escape it, the fallen angels won’t escape. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. He (the great angel) laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the devil and satan, and bound him for a thousand years; (Rev19:20;20:2) God’s strength is so great no human, no devil, no angel will escape His prison; no one will escape from standing before His judgment seat – no one! God’s a fearsome power! For our God is a consuming fire! (Heb12:29) He only permits people to disobey Him as a concession to free will. But this is what you must never forget, and this is the most important present Truth concerning God’s power: God has given to each man the right to choose the course of action he prefers to take. You can choose to do good or you can choose to do evil. And God has given men power to actually accomplish much of what they choose to do; which means He lets them do many kinds of evil – He doesn’t stop them when they make the wrong choice. If you have a child and you see that child making a wrong choice, you’ll usually intervene to stop him. But God doesn’t stop them. God cries out to men and tries to reason with men (Pr1:20;Is1:18), but He doesn’t take their power to choose away and He doesn’t take their power to do away. That’s the power God has allowed men to have in the earth, and that’s the power the devil works from. Satan uses his power of deceiving or opposing or tempting people to do something different from what God says and would prefer they’d do. In other words, satan uses his power to manipulate men to use their power against God and for satan. But God retains a power no one, not heaven, not earth, not the devil nor anyone can violate. And the power God retains is the power of causing, creating, and controlling the outcome of what you do. You can choose to disobey God, but you can’t choose to live a life of sinful disobedience and still go to heaven. If He says, “Don’t blaspheme the Holy Spirit or you’ll burn forever in hell,” then you can choose to blaspheme the Holy Spirit in spite of what God commands, but you can’t choose to avoid the penalty for your sin which means you’ll burn forever in hell. (Mt12:32) If God says, “Don’t take the mark of the beast or you’ll be tormented and the smoke of your torment will rise up forever and ever.” (Rev14:11) You may choose to take the mark of the beast but you don’t have the power to avoid or change the penalty attached to your choice. You can choose to sin and you have the power to commit sin, but you don’t have the power to avoid the penalty God attaches to your sin. Therefore the end result of your choice is unbreakably connected to your choice by the power of God. So when you make the choice to disobey God you’ll get what God says you’ll get, and apart from the possibility of turning to Christ in a true and acceptable repentance you can’t in any way change that. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I’ve set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live. (Dt30:19) Those who choose to disobey God bring curses and death upon themselves. They have no power whatsoever to choose to disobey and yet receive a blessing in the end. God’s Word is forever established. (Ps119:152;Mt24:35) What God says you’ll get, you’ll get. If you want a good ending, then you must choose to do the things God says will bring about the good ending. You choose a good ending by choosing to do the right thing in the beginning. And if you choose to do sin in the beginning, then death is the ending you’ve chosen. People choose to curse themselves by choosing to disobey God. So the awesome power of God is, He lets you make the choice but He doesn’t let you determine the results of your choice. You’ll get the results He says you’ll get according to the choices you make and not according to what you may actually want or desire. Who will render to each one according to his deeds. (Rom2:6) So if you want a good reward, you must choose to do the things God has ordained to lead to the good reward, because God won’t let you have it both ways. His strength upholds the end His Word has connected to your choice. You’re not going to do a bad thing to please yourself now and get a good reward later – the Almighty won’t let that happen! And neither you nor the devil nor all the world have the strength to change what God says will happen. That’s the highest proof that God holds the real power. God has the power that determines every outcome! And that shows us what FAITH is. For faith is believing in the power of God and the Word of God that when you do the thing God says to do, because of His almighty power, you’ll irrefutably get the result God says you’ll get. That’s faith! Unbelievers think they can do the thing God curses and not get the curse; their unbelief causes them to believe they can get away with doing wickedness and not be punished. It doesn’t matter if they don’t believe in God’s existence, and it doesn’t matter if they don’t believe His Word. Because of God’s almighty power, they’ll still get what His Word says they’re going to get because “Let God be true and every man be a liar.” (Rom3:4) Their unbelief doesn’t make the faithfulness of God of no effect. (v3) Their unbelief doesn’t make the power of God of no effect. The fact they don’t believe they’ll be punished doesn’t stop God from punishing them. Then faith can be expressed this way: to believe what God says will happen when I do what God says to do in order for it to happen. Because I believe God’s Word, I choose to do the things He says He’ll bless; and by choosing to do the things He’ll bless I’m choosing the good reward and I’ll be blessed because His Word is unchangeably true. So how important is it to know God’s Word? If I’m to receive God’s blessing, I must know what God says He’ll bless so I can gain the blessing, and also what He’ll curse so I can avoid the curse. I may go through a trying of my faith where the devil has a measure of ability to sway this world and pressure or entice people to make wrong choices. I may go through a trying of my faith – a time when I may be persecuted by the wicked for making the right choice, where satan is trying to convince me that my obedience to God is bringing a curse upon me and not the blessing God has promised. I may go through a trying of my faith, but that’s a temporary situation. In the end the wicked will reap what they’ve sown and I’ll reap what I’ve sown, because God’s power will uphold His Word. So the battle of faith is to hold on to what you know God has promised during that period of time when the wicked are trying to convince you God is lying and you’re not being blessed. That’s the power of darkness, and what the wicked try to do to subvert the righteousness of God. (Lk22:53;Rom1:18) But if you stay faithful to God, in the end they’ll get what they deserve and you’ll get what God has promised. Faith holds on to God and His promises until they manifest. The Lord is the strength of my salvation. (Ps140:7) We couldn’t be saved unless God was stronger than our enemies and also willing to use His strength on our behalf. And in His Word He shows us He’s both stronger than our enemies and also willing to use His strength to save the one who comes to Christ in faith. So when we make the right choice to receive Christ’s salvation, God will subdue our enemies because He’ll control the outcome when you make the right choice. Then to those who’ve made the right choice and have chosen to trust in Christ to be saved, God will bring about the promised outcome, which is our salvation. No raging, no power of the enemy can prevent those who are truly believing and trusting in the Lord for salvation from being saved, or God couldn’t be God. Salvation is the most important place where God connects the outcome to the choice. If you choose to do the things God says to be saved and the enemy tries to stop you from being saved, then the enemy will be subdued by God because God can’t let His promise to you fail while you’re trusting Him and obeying the things He tells you to do pertaining to salvation. Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1Pt1:5) Salvation is one place where God’s awesome power manifests right now in subduing and overcoming our enemies. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who won’t allow you to be tempted beyond what you’re able, but with the temptation He’ll also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (1Cor10:13) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who’s in you is greater than he who’s in the world. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world -- our faith. (1Jn4:4;5:4) Ultimately God will subdue all things unto Himself. (1Cor15:28) But in the now, when you choose to be saved, and to do the things God commands to maintain your salvation, nothing the enemy does can stop God from saving and keeping you. God must subdue every enemy to your salvation, or He’d be failing to give you the outcome He’s promised. So, whether He makes a way of escape or gives you His strength to endure and overcome the assaults of the enemy, strong is the Lord who judges (Rev18:8) and strong is the Lord who saves you. And He’ll make sure His promises and His Word come to pass on your behalf if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and aren’t moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard. (Col 1:23a) Prophecy: I’m the Almighty. I’m good and the source of all good, and My resurrection power demonstrates the extraordinary, exceeding superiority of good over evil. For though I created all things and called them very good, evil has turned that which I made good into things which are no longer good. And in that, evil has an appearance of being stronger than good. But I’m the Almighty, and My resurrection power can take what evil has damaged and restore it. My resurrection power can overcome the evil and return to goodness that which was good, but damaged. I tell you, the enemy has no ability in any way to destroy what I determine will be Mine and will be Mine eternally; the enemy has no ability whatsoever to keep anything I claim as My own. Because whatever he touches I can erase the effect of his touch to such an extent it will be as though it was never touched at all! I can do away with whatever evil does until there is no trace of the evil remaining; and in fact, I will make a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells and even the memory of the wicked will be forgotten, because I’m the Almighty and I’m good and My good is infinitely more powerful than evil. And I’ll demonstrate My power when I raise up that which evil has brought down and restore it to an even higher place of good than it was in the beginning, saith the Lord. Prophecy: Does My Truth reign in you? My Word is Truth. Do you exalt My Truth? Do you place it in the highest place of esteem in your heart and mind? My Word is light. A lie can only exist in darkness. Because it’s a lie it can only exist where the Truth can’t be seen. But My Word is a lamp. When you hold My Word, My Truth in esteem and put it in a high place in your heart and in your mind, it gives light, and that light unmasks every lie so you’ll not be deceived or believe the lie, so you won’t follow the lie to destruction. Thus you’ll be blessed by My Truth. And My Truth will keep you and preserve you if you esteem Me, and you esteem My Word, and you elevate and exalt My Word to the highest place where it can reign in you. Let Me reign in you; let My Truth reign in you, and My Truth will preserve you, saith the Lord. Prophecy: What will you do for the Truth, saith the Lord? What will you do for My Kingdom? For the Spirit of the sovereign God is upon you, My people, and I’ve anointed you to preach good news; I’ve anointed you to set free the captive, to bring to liberty those who are bound. I’ve anointed you as a congregation and My Spirit is upon this church, but is He upon you to do your part? For I tell you, every time Truth has fallen in the streets, it’s been for a lack of people who’d stand and do their part. Even in past times, there were many who saw the oppressions, but they were too cowardly, too selfish, too afraid to stand up and speak against it! But when just a few whose hearts are courageous rise up, the lies begin to fall. Changes come when someone is so grieved at the oppression he’ll stand valiantly and courageously for the Truth and speak it. Until men stood up and fought against the wickedness of slavery in this country it went on and on. But when just a few stood up many more stood up after them and the lies were brought down and many oppressors fell through what began with just a few men but grew and grew until the enemy was totally defeated. And so I’m doing with My church here at “My Father’s House.” But are you a part of those who do, or are you a part of those who don’t? For understand this, silence can be the same as oppression. For when you do nothing, those who are being hurt go on being hurt; but when you do something, you stand with Me to do the right thing, I’ll be with you to heal the hurts, thus saith the Lord.
